Wow, this place is amazing. I hadn't hiked in months so this trail was a bit painful for me but also I got there at 3:30 and the trail closed at 5 bc of sunset. So I had to rush up the trail in 30 minutes. But man was it worth it. The waterfall is stunning for sure but the whole trail is beautiful up and down through valleys with creeks and little openings to see the mountain ranges. There are a few spots were at steep inclines the trains is a little eroded but nothing to hard to pass. At top the falls are breathtaking. Rocks super algi covered so watch your step. Got there right as the sun was passing over the trees before sun set. The color was incredible. Even being a 4 mile round trip it wasn't bad at all. Can be made as a family or Individual. Also the drive up to there is full of beauty. Go!

Absolutely stunning multiple waterfall!!! One of the most beautiful in the South. The trail is steep most of the time but it's totally worth it! You get a good splash when climbing close to the water.

Romans 1:20 (LEB): "For from the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, both his eternal power and deity, are discerned clearly, being understood in the things created..." If you are looking for a place to just "get away from it all", then Falls Creek is the place. The climb is pretty strenuous, but it is worth it. The view out (once you reach the base of the waterfall) is absolutely breathtaking.

Iโ€™m giving a 1 as this trail is closed! I really enjoyed all of he other falls at Jones Gap and Ceasers Head. Will rate again when trail is reopened. I really want to see this in person. Everything else in the area is awesome.

Favorite waterfall ever! Especially when frozen. Hike is about 1.8 miles. Very strenuous. My Fitbit said I had climbed 85 flights of stairs. Big rocks to climb onside of trail. One wide stream to cross. When almost to the top, there is a cliff to the left. WATCH CHILDREN CLOSELY! Once you get to the falls, there is a lagoon you can put your feet in. Bring a lunch and eat it on a rock below the falls. Will not disappoint!

Slightly arduous hike to beautiful falls. Trailhead is outside of Jones Gap Park. Had to cross one creek, and with help of stick, managed not to fall in. Had the place to ourselves on a weekday, but saw a family group with dog off leash on way out. Asked them to put on leash as we had seen wild turkeys. Only takes about an hour to get to the falls. It's out and back, not a loop. Well-marked with purple paint. Took one wrong turn, but trail petered out, and we were able to go back and find right path. It's quite steep in places and I got a full body workout, as I needed to use my arms to pull myself up at times. I am 61 and overweight, but managed. Well worth it for the peace and beauty of the falls.

This is a great waterfall to visit. The parking is very limited, so get there early, or wait. The trail is challenging due to a steep grade and roots. It doesn't have the modern trail cutting techniques in place. So, you have to work for it, but it is worth it

Amazing hike off the beaten path. I'm not an infrequent hiker and would definitely call this a strenuous hike, if short in distance. It's a little more than a mile, but you are truly climbing the mountain at many points- the ascent is very obvious. Jones Gap/Mountain Bridge SP is about to take control of this area, and I'm sure the trail will benefit as there were some fallen trees and the like that could have used attending. Overall, amazing trail- very clean because of presumably low traffic, since this trailhead is seperate from the park and a very long hike out from Hospital Rock. Note that there are only about 3 parking spaces at the trailhead, which is about two miles back some residential roads, past the palmetto bible camp. This is honestly for the best, as it keeps visitor numbers low, which you will appreciate when you get to the falls and have plenty of time to yourself to enjoy the beauty of the towering double cascade coming down the mountain. TLDR: one of the best waterfalls I've seen in the state, and definitely worth the short hike if you are ready for an intense scramble.

It was a moderately difficult home with a huge payoff at the end. The waterfall is stunning. You can climb up to an upper pool or down to a lower pool.
