A wonderful experience for our whole family, adults too. The chef was so great, taught us some cool science, and was really great at explaining things as we went. All our tastes were really wild and tasty! You must go! It’s so very fun and delicious!!

We had a great time attending the sugar science workshop the weekend before Halloween. It's a very festive place, and the demonstrations are very interesting. We got to try lots of little tasty treats ( pumpkin spice candy corn was my favorite, and I detest packaged candy corn - this stuff was amazing), spent some time in a black light room with edible bioluminescent powdered sugar that we painted our faces with, and ended with delicious sundaes. Get the alien sundae. Whatever the slime is made of is so great. Our 7 and 3 year old children had a great time - they are great at catering to children. Highly recommend!

Fun experience. I feel like they focus more on bringing people in, going through the motions cycling through groups all day. Our host was very friendly, very knowledgeable and fun but clearly a little tired and not too invested in the demonstration as we were his 7th group of the day and he still had another after us. It also felt a little like a sales pitch to have the company cater future events. Overall, fun experience. I’m glad it did it and I would suggest other people to do it yet I have no desire to do it again.

Holiday themed sweets made right in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen? Say no more. This was such a fun, interactive food & science experience. We got to try egg nog dippin dots, Cheetos, cherries and chocolate flavored cotton candy. The chef was so engaging and knowledgeable! We definitely will be back.

This place offers to give you a free bag of candy if you leave a five star review before you leave. I never want to do that because I want to give a genuine review. And this place honestly doesn’t even need that sign! This place is amazing! We did the private session with Chef Nicole. There was 15 of us adults and children. The show was amazing, the treats were amazing and the information provided was super cool. We got to try six different treats and even buy some when we were done. It was definitely friendly for all ages. We will be coming back! Make sure to purchase tickets because this is not just an open location. The only downside is the parking. If you are going to use the parking garage, you have to head west on 29th Ave and at the end of the building it looks like someone’s private entrance. You would need to drive down into the garage. But it is free and safe. Just take the stairs up and he will be in the lobby for the building. When you exit you’ll turn left in there will be the inventing room. The rest of our party parked on the street and had no issues. It is an up-and-coming neighborhood, so there is a lot of traffic.

Great atmosphere, fun little spot. The girl went very quickly, the children can't really see what's happening, for that matter the adults either. Seemed a bit scripted and rushed. We had fun though. The glow in the dark room was probably our favorite part.

Amazing experience! Our homeschool group just finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So this was a perfect field trip! We had so much fun as a group and the science education was stellar too. We had cotton candy, ice cream, popcorn balls, marshmallows and more - all freeze dried! ** do NOT enter the shop before your assigned time, not even the waiting area! They are very firm on this rule.

What a truly unique experience.. Chef Matt was incredibly entertaining while teaching us so much about science and food. Had no idea what we were in for but it was so much fun and delicious. They also offer private 4 course dinner parties where you pick a theme and it's unique every time. Gotta go!!

This was so fun! I’ve been trying to get reservations for a while and finally made it in! Nicole was an awesome host, super informative and all around fun experience - and the funky candy was all really tasty too! Highly recommend for people to check out if you’re looking for a unique activity.

We had so much fun at the Inventing Room yesterday! I have had it on my list to visit for awhile now and we managed to snag tickets for their extended Halloween demonstration. It did not disappoint! The demo was so fun and interesting and all of the candy was of course amazing. Can’t wait to come back and bring more friends!

I happened to get these tickets from my neighbor who came down with Covid and couldn’t go. I took my 5 year old daughter and sister. This place is such a fun experience for the entire family. I love the combination of science and food. I will definitely have to make this place a date night. I am definitely going to tell people about this place.

An amazing experience! It is such a cool mix of science and delicious treats. Everything tasted so much better when frozen. Our presentation was fun and felt like going to a show. My favorite was the frozen cheese doodle- yum!

We were lucky to score a reservation for their Halloween treats event with the kids to end their fall break. It was such an exciting & fun experience being able to learn how to make & enjoy a bunch of delicious treats. Their favorite was the glow in the dark cotton candy & their nitrogen ice cream sundaes. Definitely recommend bringing the whole family. Can't wait to come back for one of their monthly gobblefunk dinners.

We LOVED our experience at the Inventing Room! Be prepared for some crazy creative treats - my favorite was definitely the ice cream sundae at the end. It’s a show + a tasty experience!! Great spot for a date night, my fiancé and I are already planning our next visit. Shoutout to Chef Matthew for putting on a great show 👏

My husband and I have been twice now in the last yr. The sundae choice and all the samples/treats were different our 2nd time there, except for the staple glow in the dark cotton candy. It is a fun and unique hour long experience and inexpensive!! We will definitely recommend the Inventing Room to others. I love supporting small, local family owned businesses!!

We went to a sugar science show and loved it! I love that it was not only a fun experience with the chef, but we also got to experience things we couldn't anywhere else. It's not like I can make liquid nitrogen marshmallows at home! My favorite was the caramel, but the honey comb was a close second. It ended with an "instant" ice cream sundae - I went with the cookies and cream, which involved rolling the liquid nitrogen frozen ice cream in crumbled Oreos, toasting a marshmallow, and liquid nitrogen frozen whipped cream that literally melts in your mouth. They also used to have a pop up donut shop before COVID. It's been 2.5 years since I had their donuts now, and I still dream about them - best donuts in the world (and Denver, of course). I'm hoping they'll bring the donuts back one day! I'm including pictures of the sundae and some of those donuts.

We had a lot of fun. I brought my daughter and niece. It’s a sugar experience, but it isn’t over the top, which I think parents would appreciate. We were able to taste several tiny treats that were prepared in front of us. Then we were shown and told about 3 different nitro ice cream desserts and get to pick our favorite. This experience was in October so there was a Halloween theme. The shop is cute and it’s very fun. It’s goes by quickly, which is fine. Just enough time to see/experience everything while snacking, eat, then buy something to go. Their packaged treats are very well priced. We bought a honeycomb, a lollipop and a s’more marshmallow. The marshmallow was so soft! The ONLY thing I’d change is that it’s hard for kids in the middle group to see what’s happening. I saw old pics and it appears they had to change things for the pandemic which I really appreciate. I wonder if moving the jars of candy would help. Then everyone could see. I know they are decorative, but it could also be temporary. It didn’t ruin the experience, though! And on the drive home we talked about their inspiration from Willy Wonka and how they worked to turn it into something real. I think that’s a great lesson for anyone. ✨

This was one of the BEST experiences in Denver! So fun, tasty and delicious! Matt does an awesome job and really shows you the science and the whole experience! I will be coming back with friends to taste and buy treats! The Sugar Science is $15 but honestly would happy pay more for this experience!

This was one of the most enjoyable experiences we had in Denver. It was a really unique and fascinating journey through the different temperatures for sugar products - with lots of fun demonstrations and samples! My favorite was the liquid nitrogen frozen whipped cream! Come prepared to eat lots of sugary confections and enjoy a great time! Each person for their choice of a Sunday at the end - both of them that our group had were very tasty!

Chef Ian was incredibly funny and kind. He allowed my father to buy a ticket to attend with me, he made the topic of molecular gastronomy ( a topic I love) even more interesting. It was absolutely incredible and zany and cool. I loved it so so much!! I’m already planning my next trip back!! Just went back a couple days ago and added a few new pictures. I went with a couple more people and we had an absolute blast. The new pine and strawberry space foam was my favorite, and popular even with youngsters at the shop.

This was such a fantastic experience! We all loved learning food facts about some of our favorite candies and how liquid nitrogen works. Our favorite was the skittles pop rocks and the bloody sundaes. Definitely coming back for the Christmas show!

Chef Nicole was an absolute delight. The demonstration was informative and fun. The sweets are some of the best we have ever had. We chose to eat our dessert before dinner for our daughter’s birthday and it was so worth it. We can’t wait to be able to come again!
