This was our first time dining here, and WOW! We were absolutely blown away. This is definitely a hidden gem in Spartanburg. We wanted to try both the pizza and a couple of the entrées. I am from New York, so I definitely hold anyone that models their pizza as "NY Style" it was ALMOST it, still good, but a tad more of a savory sauce blend with a cornmeal bottom would have won my heart. Believe it or not, a little cornmeal dusting on the pan before baking adds such a delicious flavor, I miss this. The dough was fantastic, thickness was great, the cheese and pepperoni was delicious, but I had to get closer to the crust before I hit sauce. The chicken piccata is probably the best I've ever had, the extra artichokes on the plate was delicious. It had a fabulous lemon butter sauce, tender chicken and a lovely flavor. My fiancée has the stuffed shells, he had no complaints. There was plenty of sauce, a generous amount of ricotta and the shells were tender. Definitely can't go wrong with the stuffed shells. Carlos was PHENOMENAL! He was attentive, kept our drinks full and was even sweet enough to bring a tray with one of each dessert for us to choose from at the end, I picked the oreo cheesecake and my fiancée got the caramel cheesecake to go. I wish the parking lot here was bigger, this place definitely deserves to stay busy. I definitely look forward to the next time.

Leaving this review in the same night of ordering take-out because: 1. The food was wonderful (and it has been for years), and 2. The service. My husband ordered a pie, I ordered the chicken piccata, and we enjoyed every single bite. While we waited to pick up our order, we noticed how calm and professional the hostess behind the bar was despite a ton of take-out’s, a packed restaurant, and consistent walk-ins. The manager was trying to get guests seated as quickly as possible while also making sure the servers and kitchen were running. As we patiently waited on our food we overheard a rude conversation between a customer and the manager, who was being polite and to the point. 6 out of 5 stars for Fratello’s fantastic food and service whilst being short-staffed. Be NICE to your servers and TIP them well!

Terrible experience. My wife and I are regular long-time customers of Fratello's. Except for the consistent slow kitchen, we generally enjoy both dining at the bar and ordering delivery. The experience tonight was terrible. These were the issues: 1. There were five bar stools with four occupied. I stood for thirty minutes. I later learned that two of the bar stools were occupied by the bartenders' roommate and her companion. They were not eating dinner. Instead, they had a laptop open playing Fantasy Football. One, there is room for more than five bar stools and second, why did the bartender allow a paying customer to stand for thirty minutes when she could have asked her roommate to move to a table? 2. We noticed the other two guests at the bar were drinking beer from Styrofoam cups. They told me the beer glasses were dirty, so the bartender served their beer in cups. 3. The television has been removed from behind the bar, so the entire bar area is dark. Really dark! 4. The bartender seemed a bit clueless and lacking the knowledge of basic customer service. At one point, she asked how we were doing and I responded, "Just OK." She did not inquire about why or how things could be improved. 5. The bartender seemed more interested in Fantasy Football than her customers. She consistently asked her roommate about Fantasy Football. 6. As usual, the kitchen was stupid slow. Not enough staff for the volume of orders. I blame the owner for these problems. The bartender seems to have been a poor hiring decision. Not having adequate bar stools is an easy fix. Additional kitchen staff is sorely needed. Most importantly, where was the owner tonight? No one seemed be managing the place. It was a laughable joke. Fratello's lost a great customer tonight.,

Very good Alfredo fettuccine and the garlic knots were very good but they were a little dense and there was a lot of cheese but overall very good

I love this place! The food is to die for, And they have a great selection of wine. You must order the chicken parm, veggie lasagna, and garlic Bread! The portions are huge and the staff is so nice. The only reason I’m not giving service a 5 is bc this is the second time I’ve gone back and they have been out of stuff. This time it was veggie lasagna and Peroni.

Came in on a Saturday night and was seated right away. Service was great. The atmosphere was nice. Food was excellent. The portion size is good too,we had to take leftover home.

We were a large party and was seated right away. We were attended well. At about the time we expected our entrees a kitchen Mgr came out and said they were out of the two gluten free dishes. This was one of the reasons we came here. Our waiter Bern learned of the problem then scurried off. About 5 minutes later he came back saying he found the gluten free pasta. He saved the day for two of our party. Over all the food was as authentic NY style as could be. More than I thought SC could offer. Foods great and service too. Recommend highly.

Excellent Italian cuisine. We got the lasagna and it was the best I have ever had. Great service from start to finish. We are from Ohio visiting relatives and will definitely eat here when we can come back.

Lovely people and even better food. The pizza is great freshly made dough everyday, I've seen them make it. Probably one of the best lasagnas you'll ever try. And the best meal in my opinion is the Seafood combo, it's like a succulent explosion of rich flavours. It comes with Shrimp, Muscles, and Calamari. The Oil is season well so the pasta and the seafood is able to absorb those flavours so you get a great taste with every bite. Also the Seafood Combo is about 20 dollars or so. But it's comes with so much food you can comfortable split it between two people, and you'll be full and satisfied.

Fratello’s is an exceptional place to eat. And so much more. The staff is engaging and kind. The food is excellent and the prices are super reasonable. The portions rock! You have to come see them!

Casual Italian. Food was very good but if your server is named Monet RUN!

Took my wife on her birthday. It was perfect. The place was cute and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and the taste was true Italian. Love this place. We will be coming back and would highly recommend.

Amber Leigh was our waitress (I believe was her name) she was great. Very accommodating. Calamari was awesome, probably best I’ve had in a while. As well as the garlic bread was awesome. And the Chicken Parm was the highlight. So great. Blessings to this restaurant and staff!!!

The only complaint that I have is that it’s not closer to me! We ordered the garlic knots with cheese for the appetizer, for my entree I ordered the chicken parm with penne & vodka sauce, and for dessert I had a turtle cheesecake. From start to finish I enjoyed every single bite of food. I still think about it often haha! If you are looking for fresh Italian food I HIGHLY recommend Fratello’s

Great place for Italian! Really enjoyed the eggplant parmesan. Pasta is fresh and the sauce is delicious. The pizza was fantastic as well. Highly recommend if your in the mood for Italian. Service was awesome!!

Went today with my Mom & 2 aunts for a lunch date. It was a lovely location and a very prestigious dining room for the area. We all had salads & their bread they deliver to the table was delicious. I ordered the Mozarella sticks as my meal. They ordered a pizza to split ( sorry, no pictures of it 😅 ) We didn't really have to wait long. However, they weren't busy so I'm not sure how the wait is when it's hopping! I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Kids menu was avails upon request as well. It was a very nice lunch. This was my first experience & I'm hooked. I will be returning in the near future to try more. 🥗🍕🍗🥖🧈🤤😍🥰🙌👏🫶

Such a hidden gem. This restaurant offers an intimate, yet casual, setting perfect for a quick workday lunch or a weekend date night. I most recently ordered the Burrata salad with Chicken and it was fantastic! Definitely a must if you are on the Eastside!

Awesome experience. First time here. Decided to go for two personal 10 inch pizza .I got the white pie and omg so simple but so delicious.will be back to dine in as the staff inside were all friendly .thank you for making me a happy man today haha .

Came back here a few times now parking is in the rear of the building very smaller quaint Italian restaurant my only complaint here is when you order a Italian dinner either you have to pick some pasta or salad which is confusing to me because you would think the pasta would automatically come with your entree. But other than that very good fast friendly service complimentary bread is yummy and everything we have ordered here has been very delicious highly recommend the cheesy garlic knots overall recommend this restaurant establishment.

Absolutely stellar service. Owner sat us, continuously check on us throughout the meal, and even gave me a birthday balloon. He was very personable and the food was amazing. Fettuccine was very creamy, garlic bread was amazing, and the free chocolate cake was the best part. Definitely coming back soon.

It's always a shame when a customer feels the need to be super negative and rude for no reason. The bartender was amazing, the food consistently delicious and in huge portions. Great job on the new renovations, keep it up and don't let a sour man (LG) bring you guys down. Losing a customer like that is a bullet dodged.

The food at this place is simply divine! We come here at least three times a month, and it just keeps getting better! For the most amazing service on the planet, be sure to ask for Carlos! He's the best there is!

We dined here for a late birthday celebration for me our waiter Francis was new but he was very personable and you could tell he was doing his best to make our dining experience great. The food was outstanding as it has been the other 2 times we've dined here. All 5 of our meals came out together and we're piping out. The bread is addictive you serve. Also Michael got our dirty dishes off the table he was very nice as well. I recommend you guys anything someone mentions Italian in Spartanburg

Placed an order and was told it would be an hour, no problem! Got there and didn't have order ready due to a printer problem. They gave me my food for free, and it was excellent! Will definitely try them again!

Good pizza, very poor service. No one greeted me when I came in for 5 minutes until I had to go find someone to help me. It took over an hour to get my phoned in order after I had arrived to pick it up. total time 1 hour and 25 minutes. There was no, we are sorry for the slow service.

Love it. Delicious 😋 Italian. Family restaurant. Perfect for a long date night. Meatballs, veil, pizza, wine, and small selection of spirits and a short bar for the solo foodie. Great waiting staff. We order out from here once a month minimum. Don't forget to tip your baggers ;)

Found thus place just driving around to see what's in the area. The food was awesome! Spoke with the manager, Larry. He attempted to engage all the customers and was a pleasant person to speak with. If your in the Converse area, stop by for a meal. The service was great, our waiter was extremely nice and was very familiar with the menu. You will not go wrong eating here. Also, Wednesday is discount house wine night. 🍷
