    The views of Verona from this site earn the 5 stars. However the location itself is a peaceful, tranquil, calm historic site just outside the main city. Well worth the short journey out of the city centre when in Verona, even if only to sit and quietly take in the view.

    Fantastic end of a building that used to be a fortress, prison, fascist camp... It was turned into a church with artistic solutions for the altar, stained glass windows... Worth a look. Recommendation: come from the city center by walking...

    Stunning views worth the walk... It's a long cobbled path up, but it's lovely at the top. Didn't go in the church, no need. Just remember to not wear shorts/sun dress because Jesus doesn't like that.

    This hilltop Sanctuary dedicated to the “Madonna of Lourdes” is actually a 1909 conversion of the 1838 fortress designed by Franz Von Scholl by will of Joseph Radetzky, general field marshal of the Austrian Empire; originally 6 cannons and +150 soldiers were serving here on the “Torricelle” hills overlooking Verona historical city center; Breathtaking sunset panorama available from the huge terrace; It is a religious place therefore quiet and respect towards the pilgrims are needed; parking is available but allowed only for the time needed for attending religious celebrations or taking some photos;

    This has the most spectacular view of Verona I have seen. A real gem. While there, I took the time to worship and remember that today is Good Friday in the church. It looks somewhat more modern than most.The walk up is a little arduous, but certainly doable. I saw both young and old making the trek. There are washrooms near the gate as you enter for a .50 € donation.

    This place is unique and beautiful. Good for those, who are in search of a silent place to pray. who are devotees of Our Lady of Lourdes who like high altitude place. who wants to see Verona city from a high place, just like the aerial view. And not for those who wants to do lot of shopping. who likes crowded and noisy places.

    Didn't go in the building because I drove up for the view, which is quote expansive. You can see l of Verona. Better than the castle view, but you are higher up so can't see everything close up.

    Great place to see Verona from up top. Very few people come here, compared to the Castel San Pietro. It's a quiet nice area, but you need a car to reach it.

    Beautiful construction, a peaceful place apart from the crowd of Verona. From the hill, the old city in the peninsula formed by the river curve can be seen with a privileged view. We were astonished.

    Another excellent viewpoint where you can see the whole of the old city wrapped by the Adige on either side. Silence is the rule here though, so unless you're particularly religious you might find it a bit oppressive.

    My husband and 3 year old daughter walked from our Agriturismo to see the view. A lady came out and yelled at them to leave because a car was parked inside and she thought it was his. It was not. The woman proceeded to start shoving my husband out while he was holding my daughter. Lucky for her I was not there. Enough said.

    This church is worth the walk. We didn’t get a chance to attend a service but I know it would have been beautiful in this round church. The views were spectacular and the peace and quiet space was lovely.

    This was the end point for my first day's adventure in Verona. It is a great vantage point to see the whole city. Its quiet cool solitude is a magnificent place to take a moment and reflect. The church is modern and in the round. Worth the walk.

    Walked up for a pilgramage, with my wife and baby. My wife needed to breastfeed and it was 19:00 when they lock the gates, the "security" guard insisted we had to leave. So much for baby Jesus reminding people not to turn people away, and he had some other program to do. The priest should talk to him. Apart from him, the view and chuch are lovely.
