What an amazingly preserved cathedral with four of Ruben's artwork. There are many other paintings by other artists which in the main depict biblical themes. Unfortunately for us the English tour was cancelled on the day we were there. There is a toilet here for paying customers. Wheelchair accessible. There is a crypt below the church that is very dank and badly ventilated. Spend just 1 or 2 minutes here. This is a truly grand cathedral. Worth a visit.

Beautiful Church. Entry is not free. Art historians can also see some fantastic paintings as well as the amazing architecture. There are also plenty of places to pray and worship for those who are religious. I'm always moved by the amazing creations in this world

Really cool cathedral in ancient city of Antwerp. It’s quite big and very beautiful. There was an entry fee when we went there which was a bit unusual specially if compared to other European cities, never the less take your time to explore this cathedral as it has many insides which can be easily missed.

Sort of expensive to get in but I thought it was worth it. The scale of the inside is very impressive, and the art on display is truly beautiful. There's plenty of explanations written in many languages too so it's very easy to learn about the art etc. I could have spent ages in there just soaking it in.

A truly beautiful cathedral that's well worth the €12 entry fee. The architecture is stunning and you could spend hours just taking in the art. There's also a crypt underneath which is super cool! Definitely one of the nicest cathedrals I've been to.

Beautiful and imposing Cathedral. From afar we see it zooming above the old city skyline. The facade is gorgeous and highly detailed architecture wise. The inside is peaceful and sober and features many paintings by Rubens. The stained glasses are marvellous. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Cathedrals were designer to make you feel small and insignificante yet fulfilled by the spiritual atmosphere and this one does just that. You will need at least 1 hour even for a quick visit but try the free guided tour.

Eine sehr schöne altertümliche Kathedrale. Schön restauriert. Alles gut in Schuss. Tolle Gemälde. Figuren. Bilder usw. 12 Euro pro Person bißchen happig. Aber es lohnt sich trotzdem. Empfehlenswert.

Antwerpen is a very very beautiful city, the cathedral is impressive and the main square is so cute and bright! We enjoyed waffles and walking around. Would love to go there again. Also the parking was very close to the center and it appeared to be free every Sunday.

(Translated by Google) If you are a Japanese living in the Showa era, you probably know this, but here is the church where the dog of Flanders was set! There are 3 pictures of Rubens with a scorched Nero! There is also a picture of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary that Nero wanted to see, and the last "Descent from the Cross" that Nero could see! That's what I saw in the anime! Before I visited here, I saw the final story of the dog of Flanders again, and by visiting this church, I was able to come to this church and see Rubens' paintings. You can feel the splendor even more! When we came here, the church was under restoration work and unfortunately we couldn't see the picture of "The Fall of Christ", and the tower, which is also the symbol of the church, is covered with sheets. I did. However, after the final episode of the dog of Flanders, the symbol of the church was projected on the ending song, and it's really here! I was impressed again. And at the end, I was impressed to see the picture of the ceiling in the scene where Nero and Patrasche were led to heaven by an angel, and I could actually see the real thing. I was really impressed by Rubens's paintings, but not only Rubens's paintings but also many other paintings and sculptures, this cathedral is very large, and the praying spaces in each place have a message. It was wonderful. There is also a Japanese pamphlet here, and if you enter this church, you should read the pamphlet first, and it describes how you feel about this church. If you look at it slowly while watching it, you will feel the goodness of this church again. There are many churches in Belgium, and I went to some of them, but this one was the biggest one and it was very impressive. Previously, I searched for a Flemish dog monument written in Japanese in the square in front of this church, but I could not find it, and it was removed several years ago according to later information. It seems. It seems that this story was not introduced in Belgium due to the sad ending, but it seems that it became famous because many Japanese visited here. If you're going to Antwerp, this is a must-see.

This is a really impressive cathedral. It's enormous and incredibly detailed. It takes about one hour to visit it and check all the amazing paintings and sculptures. You can also see paintings by the famous artist Peter Paul Rubens. The stained glass is also really beautiful. You can also find some famous famous graves or light a candle. The prince is 8 euros for adults and 6 euros for students. Even if you are not religious it is worth a visit for the incredible art.

Beautiful and huge church that you can recognize it from far. When I was there, it was under renovation (I think) so didn't have the best picture of it. It is not free to get in. It locates in a nice area where there are many shops/restaurants/nice building and statues of Nello and Patrache is in front of it.

The Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp is home to a remarkable collection of artworks by the famous Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens. Rubens was a renowned Flemish artist during the 17th century and is considered one of the greatest painters in Western art history. Inside the cathedral, visitors can find several of Rubens' masterpieces, including "The Descent from the Cross" and "The Elevation of the Cross." These monumental paintings are located in the chapel of the Holy Sacrament. The stunning altarpieces depict religious scenes with dynamic compositions, vibrant colors, and exquisite attention to detail, showcasing Rubens' exceptional artistic talent. In addition to Rubens' artworks, the Cathedral of Our Lady also houses other significant works of art, such as sculptures, stained glass windows, and intricate woodwork. The cathedral's interior is richly decorated and offers a glimpse into the artistic and cultural heritage of Antwerp. Visiting De Kathedraal provides an opportunity to appreciate the architectural beauty of the cathedral itself, as well as the impressive art collection within its walls, including the masterpieces by Peter Paul Rubens.

Very formidable building at the city center but sadly needs tickets for entering, and at weekends most of the time it's booked for private events such as weddings. Has an organ so I guess it's nice being inside while playing.

The Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp, also known as Antwerp Cathedral, is a breathtaking masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a cultural landmark in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium. Its towering presence and intricate details make it one of the most impressive cathedrals in Europe. The exterior of the cathedral is awe-inspiring, with its imposing spires reaching towards the sky. The intricate stone carvings and elaborate decorations on the facade showcase the craftsmanship and dedication of the artisans who built this architectural marvel. The sheer size and symmetry of the cathedral are awe-inspiring, leaving visitors in awe of its grandeur. Once inside, the interior of the Cathedral of Our Lady continues to impress. The soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate stained glass windows, and ornate altars create a sense of serenity and reverence. The light filtering through the stained glass creates a mesmerizing play of colors, adding to the spiritual and ethereal atmosphere within the cathedral. One of the highlights of the cathedral is its art collection, including masterpieces by renowned artists such as Peter Paul Rubens. The altarpieces, sculptures, and paintings housed within the cathedral provide a glimpse into the rich artistic heritage of Antwerp and its importance as a center of artistic excellence during the Renaissance. The Cathedral of Our Lady is not only a place of worship but also a cultural and historical treasure. Its construction started in the 14th century, and the cathedral has witnessed centuries of history, including religious and political upheavals. Despite being heavily damaged during various periods, the restoration efforts have preserved its beauty and significance for future generations to appreciate. Visiting the Cathedral of Our Lady is a profound and humbling experience. Whether you have a deep appreciation for religious architecture, art, or simply seek a moment of tranquility, this cathedral offers a spiritual sanctuary. Take your time to explore the nooks and crannies, marvel at the artistry, and absorb the history that envelops this magnificent symbol of Antwerp's cultural heritage.

Admission costs 6 euros for adults, but you can take pictures of the cathedral as you like. Excellent example to show the transition of northern European Catholic architecture from the Gothic toward the counter Reformation baroque. This cathedral is famous for its works by Peter Paul Rubens, but I also had the privilege to speak with Koen Theys about his new work Diasporalia, which is a profoundly moral comment about recent events, and well worth seeing if you get the chance.

The cathedral is amazing and the art that it contains is equally amazing. Definitely the place to go to to see Ruben’s masterpieces. It will cost a few euros to get in but it’s worth it. There is an added bonus -there is a café in the cathedral, where one can sit and ponder the art that you just saw while sucking down a beer.

As you’d expect from a very old cathedral, it was beautifully made with great details and a very compelling atmosphere. There was art / paintings hanging with explanations and the stained glasses are a true work of art. There’s a lot of space to go around as it’s quite big and you get a chance to see a lot of it. It also has spots designated only for praying so being respectful is a must. During our visit the organ started playing and the feeling can not be described. Little gift shop at the end which might not match the general mood but it’s expected since it’s treated as a museum - you pay a small fee to enter the church. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely spectacular! No visit to Antwerp would be complete without a visit to this cathedral, located in the heart of the old city. Regular, free tours by English and Flemish guides round out the experience. There is so much to see and appreciate. I had planned to spend an hour, and ended up spending 3 hours at this historical place. Lots of artworks to see, by the old masters. Wonderful!

(Translated by Google) I experienced miracles in this Cathedral of Our Lady! ! This is a trip not planned, the story is a bit long One day in April 2019 Peppa Pig: I'm going to Amsterdam for a business trip. I can stay for a few more days. Are you coming to see me? I said without thinking: OK... (check the ticket right away) Netherlands and Belgium have not been on my travel list Quite strange, and there is no place to go After Google checked the travel and accommodation arrangements of netizens I arranged a schedule with the theme "Dangling Leisurely" I go to Belgium by myself when Peppa Pig is in a meeting 6/22 Taipei->Amsterdam 6/23 Amsterdam (One day with the Pink Pig) 6/24 Amsterdam->Ghent 6/25 Bruges 6/26 Brussel 6/27 Ghent -> Amsterdam (Gather with Peppa Pig) 6/28 Giethoorn 6/29 volendam 6/30 Van Gogh Museum 7/1 Early morning flight home Every time I fly, I just pinch my nose to ventilate as long as my ears are plugged. Somehow, the left ear is very plugged this time Peppa Pig arrived in Amsterdam early the next morning I'm piercing my ears all the way this day It's super abnormal and uncomfortable after two days We said goodbye after dinner and then tragedy happened After taking a shower, I feel water comes out from my left ear is blood! ! The left ear is still plugged I was shocked and quickly put on my clothes Confirm that you have brought your passport/money/credit card/mobile phone/room card After sending a message to Peppa Pig, rushed to the counter for help I came to the emergency department at the hospital after 8pm The doctor said: My ears are bleeding now and I can’t see the eardrum. If the eardrum is broken, it will slowly recover automatically Now I can’t apply medicine, I can’t clean up, I can’t do anything Waiting for the doctor to clean up the blood clot after returning to Taiwan You may not be uncomfortable in the short term But it's okay don't worry I heard the doctor say "Even if the eardrum is broken, it will get better" I feel relieved, deafness is only temporary This night, I ended the day after I posted an emergency letter on FB Early train on the third day Amsterdam to Ghent, transfer at Antwerp in 6 minutes A lot of messages along the way care about my ears Familiar/unfamiliar/ex-customers, all Besides actively providing me with my local contacts Someone helped me to consult doctor friends in Taiwan Someone helped me make the altar for the angels to accompany Suddenly, I was full of emotions. It turns out that selflessly helping others can give them the warmth so powerful A few days in Belgium Except that the left ear can't hear the external sound at all, everything else is fine It is also fun to watch the scenery and listen to the sound of breathing/chewing/swallowing in your body On the sixth day I will return to Amsterdam, this is a day to experience miracles Originally it was only 6 minutes to transfer in Antwerp Change the ticket casually, it takes 2 hours to go out and stroll around Open Google map and select a world heritage Antwerp Cathedral of Our Lady, completed in 1521 It is also the largest Gothic church in Belgium This is the only church that requires tickets for this trip Not long after I entered the Muggle, I started to "feel" There is a wonderful feeling of energy being poured into the ears This situation has never happened in the past when traveling to churches Muttering in my heart: Are you helping me treat my ears? Just sit down in the chair area in front of the cross Feel the energy of your ears and appreciate beautiful paintings Wait until the feeling is gone before continuing to visit the church Look at the time it's almost time to go back to the station for a ride The church is a 20-minute walk from the station There seems to be something weird walking It's the ears! ! ! ! I heard it! ! ! I admired the miracle while walking and decided to post an FB at the station When I sit down and open the FB, the automatic door closes right and left in front of me There was a sudden "boom" with the force of the door swing I really hear the sound, and my eardrums shake like a door swing My left ear is closed and it is plugged again and can’t hear Muggle, I can’t help crying out: The time limit for this miracle is too short~~ Sharing with ordinary people at this time must be regarded as neurotic Silently close FB, then open Line to find a psychic friend After a brief explanation, the psychic friend said: "The body also needs time to recover Church energy is relatively high and clean Different from the outdoor environment The ear itself is a sensitive organ, and it controls the balance of the body Your ears are injured, so you will be more sensitive to high energy Suddenly entered the church and opened up the second channel of the governor and governor, and my ears became comfortable After leaving, the high energy is gone and the ears are plugged again But since the church has feelings, it’s okay for the church to walk around and stay longer As a concept of hyperbaric oxygen therapy Should help the recovery of the ear. All in all, the ears are not good Still have to take care of it, don’t play too tired” Then I returned to Amsterdam with my deaf left ear Play with Peppa Pig Time to go to the eighth night I'm looking forward to seeing Van Gogh the next morning The concept of deafness in the left ear and the first meeting without the left ear At this moment, my friend sent a photo Said it was the altar that the angel wanted him to give me I didn't think too much, I fell asleep after saving the photos Woke up the next day, not good I yelled in panic: Peppa Pig, I bleed again, give me toilet paper! This time it was a dark viscous liquid After wiping, my ears passed! ! ! Since then, it's really all through! ! ! There was no discomfort or blockage on the return flight I can only say that this is really a journey to experience miracles! ! Muggle I still feel incredible Looking back on this journey, I have four enlightenments: 1. Selfless help others can give each other warmth & moving super powerful I also want to be the one who can provide warmth and help others 2. There is a miracle in the church! ! ! ! The 6-euro church ticket beats the 150-euro hospital emergency 3. When you start to consciously observe every opportunity and event in your life, life will become a little different 4. Adversity is a gift The most pleasant surprise not in the plan Learn to surrender to the present powerlessness And believe this is the best arrangement: When I accept the inaudible facts Accept that you can't do anything at present And believe that this is only temporary and will be fine So I continued traveling with peace of mind No fear of worrying about ruining the trip If you are in adversity now Accept this discomfort and experience this process well Sometimes it’s through accidents What can we experience and feel Everything is the best arrangement, trust him #见习生1号 #Muggle after awakening or melon (Original) 我在這個聖母主教座堂裡體驗了神蹟!!

(Translated by Google) Our Lady Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the heart of Antwerp (Belgium). Construction began in 1352, and although the first phase of construction was completed in 1521, it was not finalized. at first the plan was for the building to have two towers, but the south tower could not be completed ... Built in the Gothic style, the cathedral has had many architects over time. Such as: Jan and Pieter Appelmans. The interior decorations, frescoes, were made by renowned artists who inscribed themselves with their works in the ledger of art history. for example: we can see many significant works by the baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, as well as paintings by artists such as Otto van Veen, Jacob de Backerés and Marten de Vos. Between 1965 and 1993, a complete restoration took place. Some important information about its dimensions: length 120 m width 75 m the width of the ship is 53.5 m the height of the tower is 123 m, which is the tallest church tower in the Benelux states. The largest bell in the tower requires 16 bells. The west portal features sculptures containing the missionary Saint Willibrord. It is believed that in the 7th century he spent a longer period here in Antwerp. Méreteiről pár fontos adat: hossza 120 m szélessége 75 m a hajó szélessége 53,5 m a torony magassága 123 m, ami a Benelux államok legmagasabb templomtornya. A torony legnagyobb harangjához 16 harangozó szükséges.

Antwerp Cathedral of Our Lady is one of the top 3 places to see in Antwerp. Construction was completed in 1521, it's capacity is 25,000 visitors. If the cathedral looks imposing, it's interior looks magnetic, with paintings by Rubens, and very impressive wood ornaments. There are also two big organs. Entrance is charged but is worth every penny.

The Cathedral of Our Lady (Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal) is the principal Roman Catholic church in the diocese of Antwerp. Started in the middle of the 14th century, it was never officially completed. The imposing structure has the tallest belfry in the Benelux countries, attaining 123 meters in height. Its twin tower was never built. There are many paintings of importance inside the building, the main attractions being the works of Peter Paul Rubens. The church's stained-glass windows are colorful and intricately detailed. If you're visiting on your own, be prepared to pay a steep entrance fee (15 Euros in 2023, 85 Euros more if you want to use the services of a guide for a tour lasting 90 minutes).

Not free entry, but really big and spectacular. Make sure to check their closure time. Once in they let you wonder 30mins after closing time.

Beautiful on the inside and lovely view of the city from the top (277 stair steps later). Got to experience a lovely choir singing in here. And yeah of course nice to visit to see Rubens’ art in here

Such a beautiful cathedral very close to the grote markt of antwerp near the scheldt river ! Entrance is free for minors and 12 euros for adults. This is logic if you keep in mind that this cathedral contains some masterpieces and artwork made by sir Peter Paul Rubens, the famous flemish baroque artist. It is the highest structure in the area so it’s kind of impossible to miss. I recommend you get a close look at the small statuettes all over the building.

Amazing church. It was a first time when I saw it after restoration. Huge main tower you can see almost from each point of the city center.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough information to complete your request. There are many Cathedrals of Our Lady around the world. Could you please specify which one you'd like me to write a review about? Knowing the city or country would be helpful!
