My favorite nature spot in Columbus! Really enjoy talking with the knowledgeable staff here and getting to pet the rat snake named Dale. Their butterfly tent is so cool. My kids love to come and observe the wild turkeys and deer from the windows inside with the binoculars.

Some frogs and snakes inside, and a few exhibits. I'm not sure how long it will be available but there's also a Monarch Butterfly tent outside which is very cool!

This nature center is awesome. I took my son there and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They have quite a bit on display from hands on stuff to actual snakes and frogs. They had a butterfly tent setup when we went and that was quite awesome to walk through. If you're ever close to Blendon Woods, make sure to stop by this nature center if you have children or if you're just interested in nature in general. Very cool place.

Cool place to checkout the critters, turtles, and butterflies. The staff conducts outdoor educational sessions for children. The staff is very engaging 😀

The Blendon Woods nature center is back open and staffed. There is restroom access, a bird watching lookout, assorted small creatures in habitats and touch-able manipulatives for children. There's a small game room with puzzles, oversized Jenga, a puppet area. Outside is a butterfly tent habitat you can walk inside and see several monarchs, and some turtle enclosures. Sometimes there's child-oriented programming. There's a little free library outside the center. It's definitely low tech and nothing too fancy, but it's a great break from the heat, indoor bathrooms, and some kid-friendly enrichment.

I went to Blendon Woods to do some Bird Watching and some Light Walking. I stopped in the Nature Center and enjoyed the many Wildlife Displays, good Bird Watching from windows, clean environment. Nice, friendly, informative staff, well kept trails and Park.

The butterfly exhibit was meh. Designed only for young elementary kiddos. My 7-16 yo grandkids were bored. Should have checked Franklin Conservatory to see if they had the same kind of exhibit, pricey, but such a wonderful learning experience.

We never get to discover this place as it is less than a half mile away and we have lived here for about two years. This is actually a day trip for our kiddos and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We hiked around trip to the observation center from the nature center which is about 45 minutes with a four and six year old kids. The nature center itself is full of fun. A lot of information and activities for the kids as well as adults. You can watch the turkeys dancing in the backyard of the center. The nature center staff were so friendly that they volunteered to show the things that are related to the Ohio wildlife. above all it is right next to the parking lot. The walking trail is asphalt paved so you could actually walk or have a wheelchair go around the whole path. We liked it and we enjoyed it and our kids had a blast. I highly recommend this and be prepare for at least two hours of this trip with your kids for yourself.
