clean location, nice staff and doctors and not a long wait time beyond appointment time, however, the price is unreasonably high and in contrast to their claim of transparency, there is no transparency when it comes to charges. For a regular pediatrician visit they billed insurance about $800 and $400 of it is our responsibility!!! they didn't tell us in advance about the scale of the charge and even when I called the billing department to see whether future regular well visits will be about this same amount they said they don't know! long story short, not worth it and I am going to transfer to another pediatric clinic

Terrible call wait times. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to get through and the call back times are never what is mentioned on the phone. I was on the phone for HOURS and no answer. I tried 3 days to get an appointment. Also if you are looking for a new doctor... don’t choose doctor Stankovich. She has no bedside manner. I told her I had been trying to get pregnant for over 2 1/2 years and she didn’t even bother to look at me or even pretend to care. She just continued to type away and asked what else I was there for. When I messaged for a simple refill on a medication(non narcotic), I simply received an automated message stating to schedule an appointment to “go over it”. This is a simple cold sore medication that should be refilled without issue. I shouldn’t have to wait for hours on the phone to try to even make an appointment to only have that appointment be a month out when the medication is needed now. Isn’t this what we have the messaging feature available for? Dr. Stankovich has never responded to my messages. I’ve only had her nurse respond with “come in so we can see you”.... which is an impossible task in itself. Shame UCLA. This is NOT CICARE.

A factory instead of truly a service. Hold time on the phone is endless. I was on hold today 3 times for at least 30 minutes. Appointments are scheduled for months in advance since they don’t add doctors to the facility and in general a substantial percentage of people that work there are if not rude, complete lack of customer service. I received a call from Anne saying they are working on improving but honestly it is worse. The general call center is horrible. My only star if because of my doctor.

My review is about an individual doctor: Dr. Anna Skay. I waited 3 months to see her. I got a call morning of my appt saying she won't be in office & need to reschedule. They put me at the end of the line so I had to wait 2 more months! I finally get in & she will only let me talk about 1 issue. I have an extraordinary GI history, including Whipple surgery, several bouts of pancreatitis, SIBO, severe GERD, & life-long IBS. (All she should know from MyChart.) I had to wait so long to see her, many things are acting up. So I didn't get what I needed out of the appointment. And aren't need patient appointments supposed to be longer? I was told that was why I had to wait so long. I had SIBO again so that was my "1 thing" I talked about. She did talk about some other meds & prescribed some enzymes. She promised samples of the SIBO antibiotic for me. I heard nothing for a week, so I sent a message. Silence for another week. Sent an urgent message. Staff wrote the next day 'med is waiting.' Two extra weeks of pain & extreme diarrhea & she never said a word. I made follow up at the end of that appointment 3 months ago for the day before Thanksgiving (2 days from now). Staff called to say she won't be in the office. Hmm, I wonder why? Next available appt--Jan. I'm changing providers & got an appointment sooner with her!

I was told the cost of custom orthotics (since not covered by Medicare) would be ‘around’ $500. They also said it would take a few weeks to get them made. First, they just charged me the $500 up front, never confirming the price and said if I casted for them on my first visit it would be less turnaround time to get them made and available for pickup. So 3 weeks went by. I called them and was told that they weren’t even sent out for another 8 days from the time I was casted. Their extremely poor excuse was that their office was closed the next day, and that the ‘courier’ to pick up the casts only comes once a week, 8 days after my casting. It is going on over a month now and still no orthotics. I am recovering from back surgery and have to do ‘extra’ walking so this added wait time causes me more discomfort and pain. I requested some ‘goodwill’ to reimburse me a lousy $100 since I am on a tight retirement budget and for their poor level of service to show some empathy. Nope, sorry sir, the price is already reduced. I wouldn’t recommend this department at UCLA Health since they could care less about their patients. I received a call back from the business and they just made matters worse by offering a refund for the custom orthotics with the process likely being too far along. So they will take a loss by throwing out the orthotics rather than applying a little discount. If I took the refund, I would have to start out all over again with a new doctor and likely have that not be covered by Medicare and causing an even further delay on my treatment and recovery. This is a ridiculous way to approach a poor service issue that could have had a very simple resolution.

The communication from provider to patient is ineffective. Cancelled my appointment after waiting 4 months (August 2023) and didn't communicate effectively. Then they just told me when I got there that the appointment was cancelled. The next available appointment the provider has is April 2024? Why do I have to go back to the line just because the provider is not available today? And when you cancel appointments, please call or text so we can acknowledge that the appointment was cancelled. I'm really disappointed with UCLA. Especially the staff at this location.

This review is only pertaining to pediatrics way of handling their response to patients messages regarding patients concerns and request to change appointments, not bedside manners or Dr care. Honestly thinking of switching pediatrician Dr and group, very upset at their lack of patient follow up, how is it possible that I can not get at least a call back to my rescheduling request? 2 days and nothing not even a “hi we can’t accommodate you?”. I have a newborn child and I’m very upset that for the amount of money UCLA charges my insurance every visit (some visits $700 for a 10 min Dr check up!) I can’t get a call back! and this is not the first time, I have to be insisting to get a hold of any nurse if I need to speak to someone at the office because they have a ridiculous call center which responds to all calls and will only send messages to Dr and hope Dr or staff will respond. UCLA pediatrics at Porter Ranch you’re letting my child and I down with your carelessness.

The doctor was nice enough took time with me but maybe a little too much time. Not going to mention his name but he had a student with him that was doing is residency which I think is a little Annoying and kind of unprofessional when you might have cancer and you're stressed out and you have someone that's not even a real doctor taking up your time when the doctor leaves and goes to other patients then comes back and does the same thing the student did . There goes 2hrs of my life . Then they make me take off my mask twice which I feel I am high risk for the virus and I know there was a bunch of people in there that they made take off their masks to the check their temperature. I think this is very unprofessional during a pandemic I guess they don't care since they've already been vaccinated. Why don't you buy a forehead thermometer to check temperature ?. I was actually at this place waiting for 2 hours on and off they actually forgot about me so I was about to leave I was waiting for blood work to be done. They insisted that they would take my blood before I left and then they went right through the vein and messed up my arm pretty bad. Then they call me a week later and won't give me my blood results to me they sent it to my primary doctor which I think is kind of weird and it's hard enough to get ahold of my primary doctor so I guess I will never get these results now. Horrible service it's funny how all these doctor offices are buying the UCLA name. UCLA used to be on top of research and medicine and good doctors but now they're selling out beware of this place.

They really need to remind front desk people that they are in the service industry. They are rude abrasive and act like they are entitled to be rude because it was a health care setting. But lets remind them, they are not the drs or nurses. They have a rudimentary medical knowledge and they dont know who they are talking to, they talk to me like i am stupid all the time so they can try and get away with mistakes. I have 20 yrs as a BSN. They should stay in their lane and remember ‘service industry’ they arent run down public servants, they are in the private service industry. Watch your manners.

It’s taken four years for UCLA to go from top of the country to the top imitator of K.P. Incompetent administration. Lackluster doctors. UCLA cares more about checking the right political ‘boxes’ rather than providing top-notch patient care. They are designed to maximize profits and bilk your insurance. Notice all the poor reviews. They have resources to pay someone to check and respond to reviews, but try to get a doctors appointment in under four months. Support staff has been decimated by UCLA’s over acceptance of new patients and certain mandated medical policies that need not be mentioned here. Doctors have little to no interest in their patients, they just need numbers to quiet administrators hounding them to see more patients. Run. Run far. And run fast. You don’t want this place.

Very poor specialty care and seriously bad management of user health results/appointments/communication in a convoluted and faulty system. Went for a sleep study, which took months of waiting just to get a referral and then see the specialist. Then got misinformed that a test kit will be sent to my home, was corrected by the lab and had to schedule to personally pick it up myself and drop it off. Then been trying to get a follow up on the results, which they simply won't let me know, and then when the original specialist wasn't available they scheduled me with another. BUT 10 minutes before seeing them, after waiting for 2 weeks after the fact, they cancelled and informed me only the ORIGINAL doctor can share their results with me. I then try to schedule time again, got cancelled AGAIN the day before, then they nearly did the same thing and tried to schedule me with a different doctor! Which means this would have happened AGAIN! I have now been fighting for my results for over a month and they have no idea when the original doctor will be back and refuse to let any other give me what I need because of a convoluted and quite nasty "agreement" that only THAT ONE SPECIALIST can sign off on. They estimate it may be nearly 2 more months before I can see this specific doctor again, but goodness knows if they will bother to let me know or just cancel at the last minute again. Nearly 4 months waiting and hundreds spent for a single test with visits and now they hold my results hostage over one specialist who may cancel all over again for who knows how long. This is misery and I want to warn anyone else who is considering coming here for special cases like my own. Edit: Reducing down to a 1 star because a bot just directed me to a "feedback form" to waste my time despite the description of "we are escalating and want to reach out to you". Do not come here, your health and time will only be exploited. I am looking elsewhere for my own sake.

Dr. Guimera has been an absolute blessing for our family. Her exceptional care and compassion have made each visit a positive experience. From day one, her patience and attentiveness helped our twins feel comfortable and at ease. Her expertise is evident in her thorough explanations. She goes beyond addressing symptoms, focusing on the root causes to ensure effective recovery. The clinic's welcoming environment and the supportive staff further enhance the experience. Even during uncertain times, Dr. Guimera kept us informed and reassured. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication to our twin's well-being and couldn't ask for a better pediatrician. Dr. Guimera has our highest recommendation for anyone seeking exceptional pediatric care.

Super terrible service with super high charges! I checked my bill from UCLA health for my first visit on MyChart app yesterday. However, I am so confused about the incredible high cost of my first office visit in UCLA health clinic (Location: UCLA health Porter Ranch) The bill showed me that my office visiting fee cost $1360 (my insurance paid more than $500, and I should pay more than $800). I think it's a unreasonable fee for a patient, so I need an reasonable explanation about this cost. Then, I called UCLA health billing department for a reason, but no one can explain it for me, and they also made excuses to stop me to contact with their supervisor( they said their supervises are on vacation during “pandemic”). Later, I called the UCLA health for my doctor visit records for re-checking what kind of service did i enjoyed except a office visiting which lasted for less than 30 minutes. However, their staffs just promised me but it’s just a promise. By the way, i have to say that I didn't request and agree any other special medical service and exam during my first doctor visit. In addition, no one had told me anything about this unusually high cost in advance before I went to visit. If I had known the “truth” about UCLA health, I would not choose them, because of their terrible service and ridiculous high office visit fee. Thus, everyone, you should be careful their eager for money.

I like the Dr. But the billing practices are outrageous, and predatory. They charged me $838.00 for a less than 10 minute telehealth call to ask for antibiotics for a sinus infection. Insurance covered approx. $400, but I’m on the hook for the rest of it. For less than a 10 minute video call. I called to contest it, and ask for an itemized bill. No response, despite four attempts to get a supervisor. I guess next stop is the CA insurance commission to file a formal complaint. Honestly, what reasonable person thinks this is fair?! Beware of this location.
