Great place to swim in the middle of Puerto de la Cruz. Some might say the water is too cold, I would say its beautifully refreshing on a hot day. Entrance is 5.50€ p/p. Umbrella, which you definitely want on a sunny day is 2.50€. Pay for it at the main entrance, you cannot do so in the lake area. The main pool is being completely emptied every 2-3 days and then refilled with fresh water from the Atlantic through the fountain in the middle of the pool - great gimmick, but also very cool to walk underneath and have the Atlantic "rain" on you. Definitely recommend.

Nice place with not heated water in the pool. Entrance Ticket price 5.50€ per person. In January empty, good relax for who’s not like many people :)

we did not use the pools because there is brutally cold water in them. It's a beautiful environment. Umbrella rental fee € 2.50. prices in restaurants and bars are very high! photos are from January 2022!!!

Lago Martíanez in Tenerife is a true gem that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its beauty and uniqueness. This stunning man-made lake complex offers a fantastic blend of natural elements and architectural brilliance. The first thing that struck me was the impressive design of the pools and the surrounding landscape. The intricate network of interconnected pools, surrounded by lush vegetation and volcanic rocks, creates a visually stunning and harmonious environment. It truly feels like a tropical paradise nestled in the heart of Tenerife. The pools themselves are a delight to swim in. The crystal-clear, saltwater pools provide a refreshing and invigorating experience, especially on a warm day.

Beautiful artifical lake, filled with sea water from the Atlantic. Fresh, some would say cold, swimming to be had here. No need to tip toe into the water, dive in and realise that it is sea water and your body will acclimatise very quickly. Perfect for a sunny day. Price admission is fare given you can stay there all day and find a bed to lie on no problem. Safe, secure and well worth a visit!

Beautiful complex of saltwater pools along the shore of Puerto de la Cruz. Swimming in the ocean is a little dangerous nearby so these pools are a good alternative. Entrance includes sunbeds but umbrellas are an extra charge. There is a small kids pool and several large adult pools of varying depths. The water is not heated so in February was quite refreshing! Snack bars serving sandwiches and drinks on site. Great place to watch massive waves come crashing in.

Great place, especially as the ocean can be a bit difficult to access some days due to the waves. This place gives you a similar experience but in a safe pool! The facilities are nice, there's beds (included in ticket but subject to availability) and umbrellas (extra €2.50) but there is also some natural shade. Restaurant has nice food too.

Really nice place to relax, enjoy the sun and pools with saltwater- ocean pools. Can be a bit crowded, but there are a lot of pools and sunbeds! It's 5,50 € for an adult to get in, and then it's just to choose a sunbed, an umbrella costs extra, but it might be worth it if you don't find a place in the shadow. There is a couple of restaurants and kiosks for small snacks and drinks. You're not supposed to bring your own food there. There is also toilets, free of charge. At the end of the day water might be finished and you can't flush or wash your hands. We went there for a few times and will probably come back!

You can find your own space in this enormous area of pools. Very neat and nicely planned. A ticket includes sunbed and umbrella and you can go out for lunch and return as long as you keep your receipt. There are some famous big sculptures in the area and you can eat and drink.

Absolutely fantastic place. The pool at our hotel is very poor and in constant shade. Here you have sunshine all day, there is plenty of room, plenty of sunbeds and the 4 pools, sea water are amazing! We've been even day since we got to Tenerife! There are 3 great food outlets on side that serve terrific food. We're coming back in April and will most definitely be coming back! 10/10

We came here today for our last day In Puerto and I have to say it was a great day. To start with the price of €5.50 per person including entry and a sunbed is very reasonable. The whole area is in good condition and clean including the toilets. The pools are filled with salt-water which is topped up in the morning with the large fountain in the top pool. The water in December is a bit chilly but not unbearable for a swim. One thing I'd like to also point out during this covid time, they clean the sunbeds after they are used and the whole area with cleanliness and distancing feels really quite safe. I am just a little disappointed that we didn't come before but we will definitely come back.

When there is a lot of people there can be a sort of a problem with a place and umbrellas. Still, very nice place with a lot of swimming pools and interesting architecture. For only 5,5€ is all you can expect from a such a place.

Very nice place. There is a lot of space, very nice big pool. Water is quite cold, but you can used to that. Definately take the umbrella, because there are almost no places to hide from the sun. There is also a place for young children.

Salt water Lido pool. Great day out when the weather is nice. Water is cold but you get used to it and welcome when it's very hot and sunny. Cocktail 🍹 are nice, cost €19 for 3. Pizzas are nice and I enjoyed a glass of sangria. We also took a picnic two of the days. Once you are in the Lido, you can't pop in and out, so take what you need. Sun parasols are €2 approx.

Lovely spot, plenty of sunbeds. Although thought it was a bit mean charging extra if you want an umbrella. Water a bit mucky.

Just love it here. The place is spotlessly clean. Plenty of sunbeds as well. Might need to queue to get in especially in August. The water in the pools is salt water and, in my opinion really cold! Great views as well towards Teide and overlooking the sea. Great place to watch the waves crashing in. Plenty of bars and restaurants and all reasonably priced too. Great day out.

This is really the "must see" of Puerto de la Cruz, an outstanding pool for both relaxing and swimming. It might be a little bit expensive for some tastes, but I'd say it's one of those places -and experiences- one really have to enjoy whilst visiting the north of the island.

Perfect place to sunbath, swim and relax. It was really busy but we still found a lovely spot to rest and got help from the staff to find a sunshade.

A lot of pools with a bar. Basic cost is 5.50€ included the sun loungers. Be prepared for the cold water in the pools. All water is salt, from the ocean.

Such good value for money. So many sunbeds and gorgeous pools right by the sea. Food was really good too and good value for money. Only downside was several kiosks were closed. But would definately go there again

  • 4/5 Patrick S. 8 months ago on Google
The entry fee is very reasonable. The pool is nice, but only half the park was open while I was there. If you want a sun bed in any type of decent spot get there early. There is a bathroom and a snack bar in the park and prices were comparable to a cafe outside. It's also nice because Puerto de la Cruz has only limited beaches due to the rocky coastline. It's a good place to spend a day just chilling and enjoying the sun

  • 5/5 Anton P. 2 years ago on Google
Unexpectedly great place to get some tan and spend an afternoon. Does not look like much from outside, but a very competent, large complex with multiple pools and bars on the inside.

  • 5/5 Matthew H. 2 years ago on Google
Stunning Lago designed by Canarian architect César Manrique. Beautiful variety of pools, bars and Cafés in a super location. Entry is €5.50 (Nov 2021) but well worth it!

Water might be colder than in the ocean but other than that it's a great spot

  • 4/5 Ross S. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent sea water swimming pool and facilities for all the family. The staff could clean the sun beds more often especially with COVID .

  • 3/5 Dai E. 2 years ago on Google
Overrated. Salt water, freezing cold, lines to kiosk are hell, finding a decent bed is impossible, finding a good spot to watch your stuff is also nearly impossible, cannot put music, floating stuff or have fun like in a pool.

  • 5/5 Tomasz C. 2 years ago on Google
This place is a must in Tenerife! Enormous pools and lovely shaped terrain (César Manrique's work) with restaurant and bars can accommodate lots of people without any problem, with no feeling of overcrowding. Worth spending the whole day there. I am sure I will come back!

  • 5/5 Constancia M. 6 months ago on Google
Fantastic 😊 place to come with family, friends or alone. Value for money... Plenty of different pools to choose from. It's a great way if you don't like the sea, to cool down. When we went it was 37 degrees. Highly recommended to take a trip 🙂 you won't be disappointed.

This is the place to go with children young and old. You can take a picnic in with you . Ther is a bar and a cafe. All a fabulous day out . 5.50 euros adults half price kids . Sun lounges are all over the place it is huge. You pay 2.50 euros for a sun brolly. 🌞

Beautiful place with several pools, restaurant and a bar. The pools are not heated, and the water was very cold in January.

  • 5/5 Duncan C. 2 years ago on Google
Huge space with lots of places to sit, the sun loungers are free unless you want a parasol. Showers in the changing rooms were closed, but there's plenty outdoors if you need. Pools aren't heated, but I found not too cold. The largest one is salt water (maybe some others too), and it's pretty shallow all the way round, so you shouldn't get out of your depth.

  • 5/5 Angela O. 10 months ago on Google
Visited yesterday (20-07-2023). Entrance is reasonably priced. Food is also well priced, and the pools were clean and well looked after. Good place to chill by the pool a bit !

  • 5/5 Tobias F. 1 year ago on Google
€5.50 per adult for an entire day in the sun next to salt water pools by the Atlantic ocean. Several bars and a couple of restaurants to buy drinks and food. Definitely a must see sunbathing spot in Puerto de la Cruz.

  • 5/5 Markéta . 1 year ago on Google
Great pool with water from the ocean which is pretty cold but refreshing. The main pool is large, there are also some pools for little children. The area looks great with the volcanic rock stones all around.

  • 4/5 Allie P. 1 year ago on Google
Great value for money. €13.50 for 2 adults with a parasol. We took fruit, water and snacks in with us. Good clean facilities. We went at the end of the busy season and there were loads of spaces to enjoy. The smaller pools have fewer kids splashing around and much quieter. Nice fresh swim in salt water pools.

  • 4/5 Nuno M. 1 year ago on Google
Great spot to chill, if you don't hate on crowdy places, and play on massive multiple salted water pools. Pools themselves aren't natural but there is a big effort to make it look as natural as possible. Could use more staff members to help clients inside, but mostly a great experience. Great spots to take instagramable photos!

The only cocktails we've had this week that weren't watered down. Great bar, great pool with that holiday atmosphere. Lots of period having fun with a lovely pool and friendly staff. The place is lovely and clean with lifeguards all over the place. Couldn't recommend enough, brilliant.

  • 5/5 Spencer H. 1 year ago on Google
I’m rating this because no matter how many times I dismiss this place google keeps chucking it up at me. We never visited this location, only walked past on a daily basis, but from what we can tell and what we were told while there it’s a lovely public swimming pool, with beautiful clean water. People often enter very early to get the place they want, if you are staying and don’t have access to a hotel pool, this would be the place to go.

Disappointment. Staff speaks no English. At all. Lady selling tickets doesn't know what swimming pool is. And she doesn't know if it's open. Like really? Lifeguards shouting at you something in Spanish. Asking for English they will shout "Disabled, disabled...". Ahhh, you have put your clothes on place for disabled people that is not marked (because of old sticker on the chair, I guess it was the sign you should know). Not mentioning that park at that time was full at 10% capacity at most. But whatever. Confusing markings for entry and corona navigation. Partially dirty or old. Water cold and a few pools and whirlpool not working. But you still pay full price. No parking near. The best is to park in nearby shopping centre.

(Translated by Google) A large selection of pools with blue salt water, around which you can sunbathe. People make sure you don't anticipate the wave coming over the edge. The view is of course fantastic, with windy weather hitting the wave several meters up. As the beach is rare here, Lago Martianez is a truly wonderful replacement! Great big swimming pool with a few smaller ones nearby. Only €5 entry and free beds. Water of the big pool is salty, we have not tried the other ones. Clean facilities (changing rooms, toilets) and lots of places to get some food or drinks. Not expensive at all, what we expected because it’s a tourist attraction, so really worth a visit.

Amazing place for all with a very cheap entrance fee. We came during Christmas period and covid so was very quiet and we felt we had the place to ourselves. I bet it has a great atmosphere during normal circumstances. We found the beautiful blue/red crabs around the edge entertaining and they must be used to tourists as they shot off.
