very interesting and mysterious place. The area known as Garajonay was declared a national park in 1981, and then in 1986 was officially granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status. The name of the park comes from the large rock formation of Garajonay, which is situated within the park. This rock serves as the highest point on the island, with an elevation of 1,487 meters. Seventy percent of the park is covered in laurel forests. The park is a rich, lush land full of vegetation and life. i recommend. Waterproof jacket and shoes .

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Fresh air, very green and in between the clouds. I would bring some warm clothes because you're going at 3000 m above sea level and the temperatures drop compared to other cities. And if I go back, I would take half to full day to enjoy this amazing place.

Great walk up to the top (alto). 2 paths: paved and consistent, or dirt with undulations. Limited shade at the top, best bring provisions and aim for cool of the day

Magical forest. Parked the car at Reventón Oscuro and walked down the unpaved road followed by half of the loop which took roughly 2.5 hours to complete.

(Translated by Google) This beautiful paradise, which covers more than 10% of the island of La Gomera, is beautifully decorated by the monteverde that covers more than 85% of the Park, which is formed, for the most part, by fayal-heath trees of almost 20 meters high. All of them wisely mixed with the laurel forest, with evergreen plants such as laurels and hollyhocks, which grow lined with mosses and lichens caused by the constant humidity of the horizontal rain. There is also a great variety of endemic floral plants in the Park itself, and a very varied fauna made up, almost entirely, of endemic birds that exceed 150 specimens. The ravines of El Cedro, Benchijigua, Las Lajas, Agulo, Hermigua and Vallehermoso, give the Park a unique charm, where beautiful Roques have formed, such as Agando. As well as distinguished peaks such as Alto de Garajonay, and beautiful streams that meander through the numerous trail routes, making this gigantic natural reserve that, in fact, has become the 4th most visited National Park in Spain even more magical.

Fantastic nature. The mist creates a mystic vibe, just walking here becomes like a fairytale. It is usually a bit colder than the lower parts of the island. Take a hoodie, some snacks and water and hike here. The viewpoints are worth stopping by and the nature is amazing. I recommend going up to Alto de Garajonay at night. It is pretty nice for stargazing, celestial photography, or just to be in a nice, isolated, quiet place. Just grab your camera and tripod, or your favorite human, or both. You must have a flashlight, the road is paved and super easy to climb, but it is completely dark. I climbed to the top in about 20 minutes. And when you are at the top of the mountain you will have great view of Teide and one of the clearest skies on earth.

(Translated by Google) Spectacular trails for all levels of difficulty. Beautiful landscapes to disconnect and enjoy nature. All accesses are perfectly signposted and enabled for walking and some specifically for bicycles. Everything clean and well cared for. Please, if you visit, do not leave your trail, pick up your garbage, go only through the designated areas, do not break or paint the trees. Enjoy and let the rest of us do it too. There are bins at all the beginnings and ends of the trails to even recycle. Thank you! (Original) Senderos espectaculares para todos los niveles de dificultad. Beautiful park but often in the clouds. We enjoyed our trek along GR 131 but for the most part we couldn't see anything because of the fog. I'm sure the views are spectacular but try to time your visit with good weather if possible. Hiking trails are great and clearly marked! Even in the clouds we had an amazing time. Large parts of the park are accessible by car and short hikes.

Extremely good impressions when on foggy day. Free of charge all walking trails. Have in mind that many trails go through a burnt segment of a forest, which is not so impressive; rout 6 for sure is not worth the walk. Look for segments which didnt suffer in the recent fire.

(Translated by Google) Bus. Serpentines. It's getting colder. The guide says something about tree species, but this is for the botanists. The height is about one and a half kilometers. We stop, unload ... Half-hour guided walk along a pair of forest paths. Further - yourself. But time is given for everything about half an hour: well, what can you do during this time? (((Of course, it's better to get here on your own and hang out here for the whole day. Some kind of mysticism is present in this forest. Но времени дано на всё около получаса: ну что можно успеть за это время?((( Конечно, лучше добраться сюда самостоятельно и зависнуть здесь на весь день. Какая-то мистика присутствует в этом лесу. Wild nature, incredible views and a lot of wood paths for a nice walk or a jog. Take into consideration that most of the days of the year the highest part of the park is covered in fog (due to the NE trade winds). Be very cautious with any kind of fire there because in 2012 there was huge fire made by tourists. The name comes for Romeo-Juliette like story about a girl named Gara and a boy, called Jonay, who escaped to La Gomera from their families and eventually they killed themselves in the island, letting their love to the eternity.

Walked the Olija track. Starting in La Laja, climbing up a steep Rocky path, walk through the laurel wood to surround Los Roques and dive back through light pine woods to La Laja. I think is the most beautiful track I walked here on the Canaries.

You have to prepare your route before, you can find out on the Internet in blogs of other colleagues or in the information center of the same park.
