This
park
offers
great
views
on
canyons
and
sandstone
or
limestone
cliffs.
It
is
however
quite
large
and
not
so
easy,
as
it
seems
to
get
around:
good
roads
that
are
navigable
by
normal
cars
are
scarce
and
distances
between
for
instance
several
miradors
are
simply
to
large
to
do
it
by
walking.
Furthermore:
there
seems
to
be
no
accurate
hiking
maps
available
(which
is
common
in
Spain)
and
paths
are
marked/signposted
in
a
confusing,
ambiguous
or
otherwise
unclear
way.
We
encountered
a
"red"
path
from
which
2
other
"red"
paths
branched
off,
each
with
it's
own
code
-
but
that
is
meaningless
when
a
map
with
all
the
codes
and
trajectories
is
not
available.
In
some
other
places,
marking
was
very
poor
and
sketchy
-
more
for
insiders
then
for
tourists
that
are
not
familiar
with
the
park.
Again,
this
is
common
practice
in
Spain.
They
seem
to
have
big
difficulties
with
creating
or
issuing
appropriate
hiking
maps,
which
you
would
need
to
get
around
in
such
an
extensive
area
independently
by
foot.
The
information
point
in
Zaorejas
was
very
helpful
with
English-speaking
staff,
and
pointed
out
some
directions
that
really
helped
in
getting
our
way
in
the
park.
But:
again
no
good
hiking
map,
the
only
map
available
was
small
and
ambiguous
without
colours
or
code
and
too
large
a
scale.
No
better
hiking
maps,
and
also
poor
marking
of
trails.
We
didn't
understand
it:
creating
a
lot
of
very
well
equipped
information
centers,
a
proper
website
and
creating
publicity
but
more
or
less
ignoring
the
core
business:
how
to
get
around?
Where
to
hike?
And
providing
good
maps.
We
have
hiked
in
Italy,
Austria,
Chech
Republic,
Poland,
Slovakia,
Slovenia,
Croatia,
Montenegro,
Rumania,
Bulgaria
and
even
the
Ukrain
and
everywhere
they
understand
the
importance
of
an
accurate,
small
scale
hiking
map
and
proper
marking/signposting
of
trails.
Except
Spain.
It
is
the
core
business
of
parks
that
aim
on
outdoor
experience
and
hiking.
That
is
much
more
important
then
3D
video
experiences
of
the
regional
vulture
population
in
the
information
center.
We
therefore
wonder
whether
this
and
other
nature
parks
in
Spain
operate
on
the
right
priorities.
I
want
to
conclude
with
a
positive
note:
it
IS
a
beautiful
nature
parc,
with
spectacular
views
and
miradors.
