Worst OB/GYN office I have ever stepped foot in. You feel unwelcome by the front desk from the second you walk in when you are missing paperwork and incorrectly fill it out. During a catastrophic first appointment, Dr. Kothari, with a very cold demeanor, immediately wanted to do a pap smear because she is “quick”. When I declined because I was not due for one, nor do I have any diagnosed conditions, she ordered immediate blood work in the in-house lab while I was fasting and hungover! Clearly she did not feel the obligation to build rapport with me and schedule future visits. Needless to say I nearly fainted in the lab, and for no reason as the labs were not urgent. The customary time frame for observing a patient is 20 minutes and the phlebotomist was in and out, she was frustrated that I was lightheaded, as if I had any control over that? The front desk cancelled my second appointment via voicemail due to “being out of network” —- did they not verify insurance prior to the appointment date ???? I had to have my insurance company do a three way call in order to confirm that all the providers of this practice are in network, and to request the results of the labwork, after my calling in over the span of three months did not birth. Incompetent front desk. Incompetent phlebotomists. Needless to say, the taste is so sour in my mouth that I no longer care about the insurance coverage, I will not be returning.

Dr. Kothari is probably the rudest doctor I’ve ever had. I went in with questions about PCOS and about alternate forms of birth control because I didn’t want to be on the pill anymore. She told me the reason I wasn’t having a period is because I needed to lose weight and exercise more. I weight 125lbs and weightlift every day. She didn’t listen to any of my concerns and just tried to push an IUD on me. Worse gynecologist experience ever.

I went in needing an implant replacement for birth control, the office made it seem like it would be an easy process. They took a $50 deductible from me to sign a paper and order the device which I thought was odd but didn’t complain because I just assumed it was typical practice. The doctor spoke to me at most maybe a few minutes but I made sure to tell her what date the implant expired which was within the next 2 weeks. She said no problem. The doctor then proceeded to right down the incorrect date for the expiration and never had her staff call and tell me that they were out of network for the replacement. When I followed up with them asking if the device had arrived they told me I needed to buy the nexplananon myself but couldn’t tell me how or where to buy it and then told me I need to bring the device myself and pay for insertion as well and this is 2 weeks later AFTER the expiration date that I communicated with them. Completely irresponsible doctor and staff now I am stressed trying to find an appointment ASAP due to their lack of communication. They took my copay somehow on my first appointment where ALL of my insurance information was provided but failed to check if I was even in network before taking my money? The lack of empathy for patients is ridiculous go somewhere that actually cares about you and not your money

I tried to use this office as my primary ob office because it closer to me then the Gilbert office but I ended up having to use the Gilbert office. I went in for my first time appointment to see Kramer I believe. The front desk lady (older lady) was extremely rude to me to the point she embarrassed me in front off a bunch of women in the waiting room and I had to run out of the office cause I ended up having a huge panic attack and was crying uncontrollably. I couldn’t believe how she treated me. It was traumatizing for me. I would give this office a negative 5 stars but I can’t. It’s not worth the embarrassment and unprofessional employees that work there.

I’ve never felt worse. After saying I have a condition I asked what I should do and the doctor K. said, I don’t know maybe come back and test in 3 months ?? The biopsy was brutal, 2 students in the room and no numbing cream. During the procedure of jabbing me in my uterus said, “didn’t you take ibuprofen ?” Uh you never told me anything… Wow. They gouge you in pricing and the front office staff is very unprofessional and untrained. Please do not go here!

Dr. Kothari is the worst gynecologist ever I went to a year ago complaining to her about the pain in my abdomen that was the worst pain ever in my life and how it was unbearable and had been going on for a year. I also told her I was having irregular periods and that this was not normal for me she didn't seem to care either. She lacked bad side manner and every regular compassion that an actual human naturally has the rudest coldest doctor ever. I don't recommend Kothari to anyone I've witnessed her being rude to other people as well. Why spend all that time in school just to not love your job and help patients? If I would recommend anyone here it would only be Dr. Shabana she does her job and I recently started seeing her this year she took the time to listen to me and diagnose me with my health 2 conditions the the other rude doctor refused to look into. 😑

    1. They told me the payment would be $180. They said this over the phone and in person. One week later there was a surprise bill of $11.76. A full month later another bill arrived for $163. Three payments!!!! For one visit!!!! 2. They forced me to have tests I didn't want or need in order to obtain a prescription I have been taking for 2 years prior to my move to Arizona. I have never had those tests before. 3. The tests hurt. A lot. I was crying afterward. I actually feel violated. 4. It took nineteen days to receive the results of one of the forced tests. The others are still up in the air. On top that, I selected (on a form) for them to leave detailed information over the phone, but they refused and requested I come in for another expensive visit. I think not. 5. I told them I had a miscarriage in November (3X) and they completely ignored me. Not even an emotional reaction. 6. I told them I am 5'9" and they wrote down 5'7". They also said I am 160 pounds when I am actually 145 pounds. Then they told me to go on a diet. I am already so skinny I fit perfectly into my size 4 prom dress from sixteen years ago. They are crazy!

Avoid at all costs, it's been a hassle getting them to submit a claim to my insurance. My insurance has not received the claim and this place keeps telling me they did and refuse to resubmit or work with my insurance. Very unprofessional service, I keep getting bills in my mailbox that remain unpaid. This could easily be solved if they did their job correctly. I'm not breaking my head anymore trying to do their work.

I have had nothing but a great experience with Dr. Shabana she has been amazing and very thorough. I came to her 32 weeks into my pregnancy and couldn’t be more happy that I switched. Every time I have had an appointment I never wait long and they always make sure to answer any questions i never feel any disregard over concerns if anything I am the dismissive one. Would definitely recommend Dr.Shabana ☺️

My Primary Physician (Dr Usma Ahmad) moved to this office and I of course followed because I love her dearly. Well during one of our appointments I had spoken with her about my distaste for a recent experience at another office with an OB. She, being the utter saint she is, was like "Why not come here" to which I explained what I was looking for and why it was important. Well she recommended Dr Shabana, and let me tell you, that recommendation was the best thing I've listened to in a while. Dr Shabana really makes me feel like she cares and listens to what I have to say and only having seen her a few times she earns my trust more and more and I am ecstatic. So thank you to this office for bringing such professionalism paired with undeniable personability that makes me feel safe and cared for in this crazy world.

Please avoid this place at all costs. I had an ultrasound a Month ago and still haven't heard back for results. When you call, they never have anyone available in office to go over the results. My 1st appointment was a pap, and had 2 interns shadowing the physician, showing up abruptly. Overall, unprofessional physicians and front desk. I recently moved to Tempe so I didn't know better.

The doctor cared about my needs and explained thoroughly the different services they offered and what I needed at that time.
