I
visited
Chimelong
Safari
Park
while
visiting
my
girlfriend's
family,
and
took
my
little
cousin.
Over
all
it
was
a
great
day.
If
a
zoo
and
a
theme
park
had
a
love
child
this
would
be
it.
There
are
two
parts
to
the
park
the
Safari
(aka
Safari
on
wheels)
and
the
exhibits
(aka
Safari
on
foot).
The
Safari
is
a
drive
through
attraction
where
you
can
drive
though
using
your
own
car
or
catch
one
of
the
tour
trains.
While
using
your
own
car
cost
an
additional
admission
if
you
can
this
is
the
better
option
as
you
can
take
your
time
and
stop
and
look
at
the
animals
you
like.
This
is
what
we
ended
up
doing.
The
trains
just
drive
past
and
don't
give
you
much
opportunity
to
watch
the
animals.
The
tame
animal
deer,
peacocks,
giraffe
etc
all
roam
free
as
you
drive
through.
The
others
like
bears,
lions,
tigers,
hippos
etc
are
in
open
enclosure
which
are
very
close.
Over
all
the
Safari
on
wheels
was
a
great
experience
all
of
the
photos
below
were
taken
as
I
was
driving.
The
only
criticism
is
that
there
were
too
many
cars
going
though
the
Safari
and
there
could
be
traffic
at
spots.
Also
be
sure
to
go
to
the
bathroom
before
you
start
the
drive
through
as
there
is
nowhere
to
stop.
The
Safari
on
foot
was
also
a
good
experience
there
is
a
wide
variety
of
animal
exhibits
and
some
good
shows
to
watch.
The
shows
are
more
showie
than
you
would
expect
from
a
western
zoo
but
are
still
good.
Food
options
are
a
typical
Chinese
theme
park
affair
and
nothing
to
write
home
about.
Over
all
it
was
a
great
full
day
experience.
Combine
with
Chimelong
Paradise
(them
park
proper
with
rollercoasters
and
the
likes)
next
door
you
could
easily
spend
two
days
on
property.
