(Translated by Google) The Temple of the 6 Banyan trees (literal translation of its Chinese name: 六 蓉 寺) was named for the 6 Banyan trees that were there and that the poet Su Dongpo visited in the year 1100. Since then, this temple has been called so, although these trees over the centuries have ceased to exist. The temple was built in 537, but it burned down in the 10th century and was rebuilt between the years 989 and 990, receiving its current appearance. Today it is an active Buddhist temple, home to the Guangzhou Buddhist Association and famous for its spectacular florida pagoda. A peaceful and tranquil place where the locals come. Did Did not see any tourists on a Saturday. Paid 5 yuan for the entrance fee. Only 3 banyan trees are left. A lot of locals come here to do participate in the weekend chanting session. Can stay here a long time sitting under the banyan tree. Cooling and at peace.

(Translated by Google) A height that is unthinkable in Japan with earthquakes. Unfortunately, you can't get inside, but it's a worthwhile place to visit in Guangzhou, where there aren't many tourist resources compared to other cities. There is an information center, but you can speak English. When I knew it was Japanese, it was an English version, but he asked me to bring a thick book. The neighborhood is downtown style and it is good.

Quite nice to visit in the middle of the city. Small and quiet splace, not too exciting though. Only viewing of temples and greeting buddha's. The large tower is spectacular though. Worth passing by. For more amazing temple experiences I recommend going to Baiyun Mountain, full experience of natural old temples where they worship and sing and dong the drum.

It is not a very big temple complex so there is not much to see, you cannot climb up the pagoda. There is admission charges but it is a good place to see people doing their worshipping. If you are so inclined, you may try to meditate under the banyan tree.

Nice little temple near the hotel I was staying at. I was expecting to see Banyan Trees only to learn it’s the name of the temple. But worth dropping by to see a very old pagoda. There was an entry fee if I recall correctly 5RMB.

How you make it better? In case you reach here during lunch time. This has a pure vegetarian Buffett. Probably the only one in guangzhou. But amazing infrastructure of the temple. Very traditional chinese.

A beautiful and tranquil space that is worth a visit. Six banyan is "liurong" in Mandarin and this is the temple's name and the name of the street where you'll find it. Entrance was free but it should be 5 RMB. There were few tourists on a rainy Tuesday in October and a monk serving tea. Banyan are figs with the amazing exposed roots. The trees and the temples complement each other wonderfully.

It is one of famous Buddhist temple in Guangzhou with a history of about 1400 years. The place is very peaceful and beautiful. You can burn joss stick as an offering to the god and for getting blessing. Though it is a temple, there is an entrance fee and in my experience to different cities of China, it is same all over China. But looking at the maintenance, I think it is worth it.

Pretty much is not to be missed. This temple is well preserved and maintained. One of the old temple which you can still visit these days. There are six banyan trees in the temple, that is where the name came from.
