First of all, visitors have to book the ticket one day in advance. If you are a foreigner, you must show your passport. For me,I did not book because I did not know the booking details, so the officer asked for my passport and the air ticket to prove that I was from other country to give me a favor for the visitting. Although many people lined up, it did not take a lot time until my turn. Although I visitted on the weekday, there were so many people because it was during the school break. Second, the office hour is between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. There are many exhibitions on many floors so it takes a lot of time to see all exhibitions. Pls make your plan. Third, the display explanation is also written in English so the foreigners would understand the stories along the exhibitions. Forth, the toilets are clean and they are enough for visitors. Fifth, I did not see any sign board for no photoes so I though visitors were allowed to take any photoes at any halls. Lastly, it depends on each tourist's interest. If you would like to know the history about Guangdong, it would be a good choice. PS. Guangdong Meseum is located near Guangzhou Library and Canton Tower so visitors can spend a long time in this area. It is nice both day time and night time.

Full of crowds even visited on a Tuesday. Very informative with chinese and English description. All are displays and no interactive in this museum. We are particularly interested in the overseas chinese division. Skipped herbs and gems division and went straight to the dinosaur display, first time to see and compare the size of the dinosaurs with human, impressive! Free entry but need to reserve online prior to visit and need to show id or passport to access.

The Guangdong Museum is a great place to visit if you are interested in learning about the history and culture of Guangdong Province, China. There are plenty of things to see, and the exhibits are well-organized and informative. Visitors from overseas do not need to make a reservation, simply show your passport at the ticketing counter and you can skip the queuing line. I spent about 3 hours exploring the museum, and I could have easily spent more time. The entry fee is free, except for the extra exhibition by "Victoria kingdom

(Translated by Google) The museum is full of modern mystery vocabulary. The fans symbolize no solution, ignorance, infinite meaning, and also convey the power of pursuit, pursuit, and dream pursuit! When the red unknown symbol emerges from the black abyss, does it convey? What is the symbol for completing the answer?? The contents of the tower reflect the culture and history of Guangzhou, and bring a sense of satisfaction to the visitors.... Try to understand the architect's concept conveyed by the exterior wall design of this case, which is consistent with or different from the essence of the building. It can stimulate creativity or deviate from feelings. When observing the case from outside the building, I feel that there is a deliberate reluctance to integrate with the surrounding environment, with some kind of independent taste as if the sculpture or building block is standing there, with self-transition temperament! When entering the room, it is immediately attracted by the big pick and the metal texture curtain. The deliberate design brings out the feeling of indifference to the masses! However, the nature of the building is indeed expected to interact and communicate with the masses. It should be that the design deliberately creates a sense of conflict!

We visited this place without making any advance booking. As a visitors holding foreign passport, just have to tell the staff at the entrance and proceed to the ticket office for registration will do. We enjoyed the coffee of the Yi Wai Cafe with nice outdoor ambiance.

There are several permanent exhibitions and a small number of special exhibitions all year round. There are both history and natural history exhibitions. Most of the exhibits have bilingual descriptions and there are some hands on interactive sections where they explain in more details how some of the technical details work. Free entry but ID required to get the free tickets at the entrance.

Not foreigner friendly. Showed up twice (once public holiday and once normal working day) and there were big queues, with no way of getting entry into museum without booking online. This is difficult if you dont know Chinese

There are many available exhibitions and rooms ranging from history, trade, animals, and even a special room when I was there featuring fans. Free admission for foreigners if you show an ID, there is possibility to leave bags in free lockers as well. I was hoping to maximize my morning there and so I purchased a 30rmb audio guide.. However, the flow within the history rooms especially were Not intuitive.. jumping from one century to another. The one narrating could not have been more bland and boring too, so I was feeling quite sleepy just a few minutes in! The other rooms like the one dedicated to fans was more interesting but was not covered by the audio guide. For kids, it will be most enjoyable to go to the animal history section with perhaps full size assembly of dino bone (replicas I suppose) and an assortment of other sea creatures too. Since tickets are free, it's a nice spot to visit but maybe pass on the audio guide.

(Translated by Google) A huge building, and the exposition is meager. Of 6 floors only for 3 properly speaking museum, the rest of the conference rooms, shops and so on. Is it possible to note the hall of woodcarving, exhibits which are really impressive. The plus is that this museum can be visited free of charge if you have a passport with you. On weekends it is better to walk from the very morning or not to walk at all because a lot of people (Original)

(Translated by Google) The Guangdong Provincial Museum is a good place for children to learn. Then you have a lot of different showrooms. Some are ceramic exhibition halls, some exhibition halls about minerals, and some exhibition halls about wood carvings. There is a library which can accommodate up to 70 people. When I went there were not many people, and the appearance was very scientific and technical. It was dark blue. When I went, the elevator on the fourth floor was going around in a repair. There are also some dinosaur pavilions that saw some fossils of dinosaurs. There are also some shops where you can buy some products, and some eat and drink, and a dinosaur ice cream is very delicious. As soon as you look at the door, you can see some shops selling souvenirs on the right. Where is it really memorable. There are many exhibition halls. Everyone is welcome to visit. By the way, you can educate the children around you. Let them learn something from this world to broaden their horizons. You can also visit with your family, friends, and classmates. Decent place to spend your day and enjoy the AC. Just like any other public space in China, it's well organized, clean and comfortable. However the collection is not comparable to other provincial museums. The building also seems like a maze.

I had a spare day in Guangzhou and was lucky enough to find this museum. Take your passport and they let tourists in for free. The building is enormous but the galleries are well laid out.

Opens at 9 am in the morning and closes at 5 pm in the evening. There are various things things to see like ancient pottery from Tang dynasty, their traditional clothes , ash trays , wall hangings , writings , calligraphy and what not. It is fully air-conditioned with many shops and vending machines inside . You can buy souvenirs in the shops inside the museum. Every floor has different things to see. The building looks spectacular but in grey colour like a piece of cube. Overall a good place to be. For foreigners , passports are necessary to get the ticket. Have a great time. Cheers
