The straight and elongated shape of the valley and reservoir represents a north-south running fault. River develops along this fault to form river valley, which was dammed to form this reservoir. The same story applies to Hung Shui Hang Reservoir nearby.

Quite a beautiful reservoir. It's only a 15-20 minute walk from the Fu Tai Estate. Tho if you enjoy hiking, you can follow the hiking tracks from there and enjoy a beautiful scenery at the top, probably another 30-45minutes to reach the top.
