Despite of some comments and the web information, the Tower is closed. It's a shame because the surroundings are beautiful and the view is breathtaking. Recommend to go to see the view.

The Castle of Guarda is an historical place and the highest point in the city with a 360 degree view of Guarda and the surrounding. Below the castle is a small museum with archaeological finds from different periods of the castle. Close-by is the Sé of Guarda - The Cathedral of Guarda. Worthwhile to visit! The most convenient way to visit is by car or taxi. Can be very windy and with low clouds you will have zero visibility.

The tower is permanent closed. The views of the highest point in the city are lovely.

View is great from the tower. Climb and access is not safe, missing guardrails in some areas and of difficult access to children.

It's a nice walk to get get your heart pumping, however a little lackluster upon arrival, and unfortunately the door was closed when i arrived.

Great view from the top of your legs can take the climb. Nearby is the se da Guarda which is also worth a visit. There is an elevator on the side but it was not open on the day I was there.
