Most amenities are at the level you should expect from a Hyatt except that this location closes the pool at 4pm. I wished I had known this when booking. The process to check in is slow even if you have already checked in using the Hyatt app and male employees at the front desk are rude. My friend said that’s because of their male dominated culture. It let a bitter taste on my overall experience. Another weird thing was that even though you pay in US dollars they do not provide a receipt in dollars and you are unable to retrieve your hotel bill using the Hyatt app…

Loved the rooftop pool and views of the city. Food and drinks were okay but not the best. Staff was pretty friendly and attentive with us during our stay. The buffet for breakfast was incredibly with many delicious options although you need to make reservations before hand. Pool closes around 4-6PM and is only guests . Prices for a night is around $120 for two with breakfast and parking space includes up to 2 cars.

The awesome staff from Rudy to the front desk to the wait staff and room staff they all gave us a great experience. We also had special guests joining us during this stay who had nothing but awesome things to say about their time here.

I don’t recommend staying here !!!!! I had an absolutely horrific experience. I stayed here the night before a flight and they lost my sweatshirt and my vest and they were not helpful and I had to go to the airport freezing cold.

Most definitely in the my top 3 for best service ever received in a hotel (even in some hotels that have cost 5x +) The staff is so eager to ensure you have everything you need to make the most of your stay. Rooms were also impeccable. Location is perfect. Really zero complaints.

Room are always on point! Would recommend staying here. Breakfast buffet sixteen dollars and recommended. Many restaurants around vicinity like PF Chang's, TGIF, Carl's Jr, Dunkin donuts and more.. Seems safe to walk around.

I had such an amazing experience at this hotel. The service at this hotel is the best I’ve received. Thank you to William, Rudy & Francesco for their attentiveness, kindness and overall outstanding service.

We found the restaurant staff, under the keen and experienced eye of Mr. Roceolo to be professional, kind, and well-trained. They anticipated our needs after our first day, and it was clear there was a manager on the floor. The food quality was above average, especially the cheese and yogurt selection and the fruit. Food was fresh and healthy with a good variety and selection. Excellent service was provided by Matalie, Jose, Edgar and Luis. All of them made our family very comfortable and were beyond professional. The front desk was helpful and professional and we were assisted by Alison before we arrived by email. It would be good for the hotel to add their email to their website as is standard for other Hyatt hotels. As Globalists, we did not receive an upgrade because the hotel was at 100% for 2 of our 3 nights, which is understandable. The pool was a great place for an afternoon swim. We loved the local art and touches all around the hotel. A good place to stay.

Nice, clean, comfortable, quiet. Great gym. Nice rooftop. Newer than the others. There are several hotels very close to each other. This is likely the most recently built/remodeled. 2017 - with no use for a few years of pandemic. From the rooftop, bar and pool, the other hotels I could see did not have a rooftop. Gym was well equipped, great art, natural light and music. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Good dryer and hairdryer. Good coffee machine and free bottled water provided. No views from the rooms, but I think that’s the same for all major hotels nearby. Connected to a premium mall with good coffee shops and food options. Safe area. Everyone was very nice. No complaints, would be happy to return. On a quick business trip, I had great meals at lovely restaurants. Note there is traffic so plan for travel times.

The iron had a residue which ruined my shirt. The hotel did not take responsibility and lied about. The hotel also messed up the reservation and booked me for the wrong category of room.

Was impressed with the tech and art in the rooms. The gym was small but very clean and had the necessities. I was most impressed by the welcome and service from Pablo, who checked me in. Other staff members were also great - management does a great job of selecting and managing team members.

Hard to say a single bad thing about this hotel! I’m a Marriott loyalist, but couldn’t pass up the amazing pool, modern look, and location of this Hyatt! A couple days before arriving, the hotel reached out to me directly to offer a hotel pickup at a very reasonable rate, which was on-time and courteous. Upon arrival, Rudy greeted us with the perfect amount of help and grace without being overbearing. The housekeeping was always on-point and timely, and the drinks at Zielo were delicious! What a wonderful property. Marriott better step up their game, because Hyatt has the ticket in Guate!

This newer hotel did not disappoint. Great location. Friendly staff. Rudy at the door was amazing. He made our trip very memorable. Hyatt Centric is lucky to have him working for them. Rodrigo at the front desk was very accommodating as well. Room service was a little disappointing but it is not easy to tend to so many guests. If your looking for a well decorated, modern and a rooftop pool Hyatt Centric is the way to go. 😊

Highly recommend!! 1) great location - walkable shopping center and they have many restaurants & cafe down stairs. Super safe area 2) room- modern design, great shower booth and super clean. I stayed in other hotels in Guatemala city, but Hyatt was the best one. (Recommended atrium view) 3) service — everyone at the front desk speaks good English and super nice. Mario was super helpful & friendly. He also checked me in even though we were little early without any cost. They do not have complimentary breakfast, however they offer lots of different menu and break buffet and it is great quality food. Only downside was that they have a small swimming pool at the top compare to other hotels that I stayed but overall I had great experience.

The manager, Carlos here at the Hyatt made my experience wonderful. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with a bill, and he took care of it within seconds, very grateful for his presence. Here at the Hyatt, please give carlos a raise.

Amazing hotel - only thing that needs an upgrade is the shower’s poor water pressure

What a pleasant memory. I would stay here again when I am in the city. There are other options like Intercontinental and Westin, but I would stay here for better rooms and services.

Met my expectations, great to organize weddings, food I would say average, rather to go to restaurants near by to enjoy the real Guatemalan food.

We stayed here for our one night City Center trip to Guatemala. The location is close to the airport, shopping and multiple restaurant options. There is a small grocery store to the left of lobby for the mixed use residential building. It was convenient for bottled water, beer etc. The Centric staff was helpful and responsive. I did have to press for a Globalist upgrade. After being told none were available, I showed them I could use the Hyatt app to book 2 standard suites/upgraded room for my night. I wish the hotels wouldn't put me in the position of challenging them. Had to call in the evening asking when Globalist room amenity would be delivered as promised at check in. It was a nice mix of fresh berries, some nuts and Evian water. Breakfast was good. The buffet layout could have been better to improve flow. People waiting on toaster block entry/exit from hot food section. There was some street noise in the room. Rain head and handheld in the shower. No extra towels in room. One of each per person. A/C worked well. Tea making and limited (one) coffee pod were provided with bottled water. Bring instant coffee if you want to have more. We would stay here again if we visit Guatemala. Free hotel-airpprt transfer for Globalist members. Value is minimal as Uber is about $4. But it was a nice bonus. A good choice. A large medical group there our night. They come for two weeks at a time and do surgeries at a nearby clinic. Made for Breakfast rush. It cleared out by 7am.

Incredible hotel! Stayed here last night before a flight out of Guatemala City airport. As a globalist I was upgraded to a suite with a tub and living room. The hotel provides globalist with courtesy private car transportation from and to the airport. The room was beautiful and modern and the breakfast spread was incredible! The rooftop pool and views are top notch and would recommend this hotel to anyone in this area, especially if you have Hyatt status.

Really great hotel - just beautiful- and what a value when I stayed which was about $110USD. And of course it comes with the wonderful hospitality of the nicest people on earth - Guatemalans. Luxury hotel. Room was very very comfortable and spotless. It’s a quick trip to the airport, so yes, you can stay here and get to the airport in about ten minutes (depending on the traffic) Hyatt has an arrangement with a car service (shuttle) at around Q120 and they’ll line that up for when checking in — and ring your room when they have arrived, and will be waiting for you in the front. I’m a more enthusiastic Hyatt fan recently and really like their point system, largely because my stay experiences have been very good and I find the value of Hyatt to be more competitive these days (I book on the App and the pricing is seemingly better). Enjoy Guatemala while here. You’ll love it and you’ll be off to a good start at this nicely priced and appointed hotel.

Great place, nice rooms. Some things to note. You will not get your room before about 15:00 check in announced ( or early check-in charge offered) Pool zone is amazing with good view, ... but they use it for events, so till 16:00 PM officially its open for hotel guests. Thats not nice off course, if for example in my case: - I had 1 night and had to leave 6 am next morning. So, you check in at 15... Good side, if there's no an event, no problem to use pool till 17:00. Anyway its weird, as a hotel guest you almost have no access to hotels facility.

This hotel was very nice. The front desk personnel were bilingual which was a great help. They guided us to the correct people and assisted with exchanging USD to GTQ. Rudy was always at the entrance with a welcoming smile. He told us about the Guatemalan history instilled in the decor of the whole building. Vanessa and Martin were very friendly and patient in assisted us in locating local attractions and restaurants. The complimentary breakfasts have a lot of delicious food and drinks to try. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The hotel is located near a few malls, little stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel. Everyone was very kind, patient with our language barrier and welcoming.

Wow! From the lobby to the room, everything is five stars. The rooms are very large, modern and very well appointed. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at recently.

Rude and unprofessional front desk staff. The customer service at the check in desk is not up to par with international Hyatt standards. Staff a the the front desk is not customer oriented at all, and management looks the other way. Save yourself a headache, stay a the Marriot instead.

Hotel is very clean and the workers are friendly. We stayed there for almost a week and had 2 rooms, 1 king bed and 2 queen beds and the bathroom situation is a bit uncomfortable. When booking the king size bed room keep in mind you will not a get a door to close of the bathroom, however the toilet does have its own little room. Also there are no hooks to hang your towels after showering or your wet bathing suits after the pool, this applies to the 2 types of rooms. The rooms do not have a dresser and for a week long stay you do need it especially since there really isn’t enough space to get your from your suitcases. The closet had 2 small drawers but it definitely wasn’t enough. The food selection within the hotel is very limited but there are many restaurants nearby. We decided to have McDonald’s one day late at night and ate it out in the lobby since no one was around and the restaurants in the hotel were already closed but once they noticed they told us we couldn’t eat outside food there in order to protect their image. Overall the hotel is fine for a 1-2 night stay but an entire week is uncomfortable.

Just stayed at this hotel for two weeks while on business and family trip. Have to go back to Guatemala in December and you bet we’re staying at the Hyatt again. I absolutely adored this hotel and the staff, especially Katherine and Carlos. Will be spending a few times a year here and can’t wait to be back for our morning coffee and buffet!

As a Globalist, one of the best Hyatt hotels I've stayed at. The service is top notch and the included breakfast buffet has a great variety. Rooms are new, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. You are about 15 mins away from the airport and with status they provide you with a complimentary private car to the terminal.

Loved our stay here at the Hyatt. Top notch hotel. Room are beautiful, very spaces and clean. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home. From the doorman to the front desk. The location is great, lots of shopping malls, restaurants, and bakeries. One of the best hotels in Guatemala City.
