I am giving this a 5 stars because the rooms are one of the best in the area. I have stayed at The Barcelo and Hilton Garden (the most fancy ones I have stayed in the city), but the Courtyard rooms and views are definitely still to beat. I stayed here as a complimentary upgrade since my reservation was at Radison hotel (accross the street) but the hotel had already been filled up, so I was moved to this one more fancy, and it definitely is. Definitely a fancy place. I would say I'd come here when I want to be have a fancy, pleasant, upgraded room experience.

This place is way too fancy to be a Courtyard… nice rooms, good showers, stable WiFi and secure underground parking. But the best part is the lobby. Real classy design and setup. Nice staff as well, but that seems to be standard in Guatemala.

Have stayed here each time I have visited Guatemala for work. Modern decor. Updated rooms. Great location for my needs. The rooms were cleaned daily and very well. All staff were friendly and attentive. The bar and restaurant on the lobby level always has good food and service for breakfast to open fairly late. Comfortable rooms to call home for a week.

You MUST try the hotel breakfast, rooms were nice and spacious. Balcony was big and staff were nice unfortunately it’s a hassle with Marriott to get my credit for this stay months ago and the invoice I got from them was in Spanish but it should be fixed soon. Otherwise no complaints!!

Be wary when you book airport shuttle with hotel. I specified pick-up at 5am, but they booked for 5pm. Then were very cavalier about the whole thing, putting it on me to find an Uber with 2 young children & luggage to the airport. Eventually they put us on a shuttle at 4:40am, but I did not appreciate the poor customer experience and unnecessary stress. Location is probably as good as it gets in Guatemala City but the party scene around the hotel is not family friendly especially during weekends.

Stayed for 1 night while waiting for flight out the next day. Bathroom is nice with large shower. Bed and couch really cozy. Feels safe and easily accessible.

Horrible customer service and a lot of hidden fees. The front desk tried to cheat us by charging more for laundry. They also did not provide my Marriott points for the 30 nights that I stayed and I had to go through many hoops and still don't have my points. Horrible horrible experience.

Walking distance to everything you'll need while un Guatemala City. About 20mins from the airport. Live music each night, safe, restaurant and room service on site. Would totally recommend đź‘Ś

I have to be fair to begin with the location is great but the idea of service is horrible here. There’s a contradiction when you speak to the staff always. I got 2 different prices for breakfast. $12 on the phone -$18 when I went down to eat. I called the reception to see if they have a weighing machine so I can weigh my bags. The receptionist said come down to the lobby we will show you. I went down to the lobby the next morning and the receptionist said there’s none. Heck they event told me a different price for extending my stay on the phone and a different price at the reception. The ac had issues we had to call for them to clean the filters and even after that it wouldn’t cool correctly. Comfy beds good bathrooms. But overall customer service is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend It.

Perfect location, rooms are big and comfortable, everything that you need, bed was amazingly comfy. And the guest service is awesome, everywhere you go and find an employee I have found a smile and a nice greeting from everyone, very surprising, very nice.

The hotel itself was well-maintained and pleasant, offering a clean and comfortable stay. However, I must highlight that the receptionists' service could use some improvement. During my stay, I experienced an issue with the car service they provide. The charges for these rides were exorbitantly high, nearly six times more expensive than what one would typically pay for a taxi or an Uber. Additionally, I found that the final charges exceeded the initially quoted prices, with the explanation given being fluctuations in currency rates. This left me dissatisfied and feeling like I had been taken advantage of. While the accommodation at the hotel was satisfactory, I strongly advise against using any of their car services due to the substantial overcharging. It felt like a blatant rip-off, and I would caution others to explore alternative transportation options to avoid unnecessary expenses.

The rooms are nice, there's no pool, so not a family friendly place.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff are respectful, helpful, and friendly. They are bilingual as well. The only down fall is it has no pool. You are close to shops and restaurants. It is a nice area. The bed and pillows were soft and comfy. I definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Located in the safest zone of Guatemala, near to dozens of great restaurants and places to go. Rooms are very comfortable and well organized and equipped, beds are really good, no weak mattress. Bathroom is so big, that practically you can add a bed in there (lol) and the attention from the staff is really good, no complains at all. I love staying at thos hotel. Highly recommended.

Low water pressure, coffee machine didn’t work and beds were stiff. Nice hotel by appearance but wasn’t up to standards

I have stayed at this location many times as I travel to Guatemala often for charity work. I had a last minute trip and I arranged the hotel shuttle to pick me up at the airport at 9:00 pm. I arrived with 9 bags of donated medical supplies and guess what NO SHUTTLE. I looked for about 30 minutes then found someone to call the Courtyard. They said they would send the shuttle right away. Well almost 2 hours later somebody arrived in a car to pick me and 9 bags. I was furious. I crammed all bags into the car and had 1 in my lap. When I finally got to the hotel the response from the front desk was sorry. that's it. No explanation of what happened or anything. I asked to speak with the manager and he said he would look into it and let me know. 2 days later still nothing. I messaged the hotel to get follow up. reply was someone from the hotel would contact me. well 2 days later nothing. I just want to warn travellers DO NOT BOOK the hotel shuttle. You may get stuck for hours. I don't like posting negative reviews because things happen. My main issues is the total lack of reply or feedback. I stayed at this hotel personally 15+ nights last year and always bring a group of 3 or more. Guess what? We will be staying at the Camino Real from now on.

In the heart of downtown Guatemala City. Brand spanking new accommodations and amenities. Friendly and bilingual staff, they have some splendid views and they're just about a 15 minute uber ride from the airport! Great launching pad of you're spending extended time in the city & the rates are so reasonable. Highly recommend

I quite don't understand how this is a 3 star hotel, it should be 4!!!! Good location, great rooms always. Fabulous staff. Excellent restaurant. Clean. Nice gym. Decor is very fresh. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel has great food and the restaurant/bar staff are very accommodating. The staff at the front desk are not as welcoming. Asked for support for possible spas available and was given a print out of a place an hour away that wasn’t legible. This is after we booked the hotel on Marriott App that stated it had and would coordinate spa services. We had to call and confirm. Asked for a shuttle to the airport and was told that prices are different than stated on the app. Saddened that service was so lack luster compared to other Marriott properties we have stayed at.

This is the nicest Courtyard I have stayed at in the world - and I am 12 years top tier elite with Marriott so that says something. Nice decor, spacious and clean with great staff. A great breakfast as well. I look forward to returning

The kind staff was incredibly accommodating to our requests. Comfortable, quiet, and beautiful. This is a high-end luxury hotel masquerading as a Courtyard!

Overcharged me by nearly $100 USD. Tried several times to contact the property but they continued to ignore my messages. I’m still waiting on the refund. Usually I love Marriott properties (I’m a titanium member) but this has been a horrible experience

I stayed at this Hotel for an extended period of time an absolutely loved my stay here! The hotel is in a great location, close to the airport, in a nice zone, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are all top of the line with smart TVs and comfy beds. The wifi is great and never dropped during my stay. The staff is awesome (Shout out to Javier at the front) across the board and can help you with anything you need during your stay. The breakfast is very good and offers many different options for you to choose from. The gym has multiple cardio machines, dumbbells, and a cable machine. If you are looking for a place to stay in Guatemala City, look no further than here!

I was looking for a place to relax and find some self care after visiting family and making my return to the states. The area where the hotel is at is extremely safe. You can walk outside to the nearby restaurants and malls. I walked to Fontabella for a meal at El Griego, which was delicious. The views from my 7th room floor were beautiful. I was surprised that the room had a small balcony to walk out to. The room was thoroughly cleaned. It was a quiet stay. My room had a fridge and some snacks that you could purchase. The amenities that the hotel offers were great. The gym seemed great. I did not use it, but saw it every time I took the elevator. In the lobby, there was plenty of work space. Their breakfast was not like your U.S. continental breakfast, which was a huge plus. I had a omelette prepared by staff with whatever ingredients I wanted, they had freshly squeezed orange juice (by an awesome machine!), fríjoles (beans), scrambled eggs, plátanos fritos (fried plantains), pan dulce, green juices, a parfait bar, and just such a huge variety! Overall, I'd give them a 10/10. The airport is about a 10 minute drive, without traffic and about 25-30 with traffic, which isn't bad for Guatemala! I will definitely stay here again! The staff was extremely accommodating and polite. The one thing about Guatemala is that EVERYONE who works as a front line staff, gives THE best costumer service, unlike any other country I've ever experienced.

No room service. But the balcony and room were great and spacious! Room was loud (you could hear traffic and planes all night).

Nice rooms, it's a pity they don't give you the Loyalty points when booking through expedia
