This is an amazing property with excellent staff and service. They need to figure out how to hire back more people though. Every single person who works there that we interacted with was wonderful! The level of amenities has gone down though. I had to wait quite a while for the gentleman to come help me with my luggage. He was working very hard but was the only person available. 24/7 room service is no longer available- I think it is only supposed to be for evening hours now. Neither of these are all that important in the big picture and I was not terribly inconvenienced; I'm a fairly patient person anyway. It bothered me to see such limited staff when the hotel is getting so much busier again. Granted, I don't own the business, but it didn't seem fair to the employees or guests. Maybe it just takes time for these things to balance out? 🤔

I stayed in 1501- good sized room with 1/2 bath 1 full bath and king sized bed. Great views of the volcano. Area was safe Alejandro (front desk) was very helpful at arranging transportation and recommending restaurants. His English was great and took great care of us. 24 hr gym is perfect. Breakfast buffet at the market downstairs was great.

Breakfast is delicious, in the restaurant are very kind. In the lobby they are not so kind but all good. Transport planned with the hotel is nice. Very good located, fontabella is near and there are a lot of things to eat. Gym is nice but missing space to do cross training. Beds are not so good they are very floffly

Location of the hotel is excellent as usual with Intercontinental, however service was horrible. Starting from the checkin time, I was repeatedly asked for passport and cards, and the room has no slipper in there, I had to ask for one, and got a tiny pair probably for girls. Last and worst, I surprisely found out that I was charged almost $500 after I checked out. I now have to waste many minutes maybe hours on the phone to dispute this somehow.

As an IHG Platinum member, I spend a lot of time in IHG, and in particular Intercontinental properties all over. The room I was in, 1006, was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed on. It’s by far the dirtiest Intercontinental room I’ve ever been in. It smells of old socks as soon as you walk in. I then had the misfortune of walking around the room barefoot. After just 10 minutes the bottom of my feet were black, gross! The tub floor had several dark scuff marks as well. One of the elevators to the parking garage would jerk up and down as it arrived to a floor. It felt almost unsafe to use. With all that said, the location is perfect and very convenient. The hotel staff were also friendly & inviting. I hope this hotel is going to be renovated soon- it needs it.

The lobby is enormous. We stayed on the 16th floor, and the views were good. The room was big, the bed was great(king size), there were plenty of pillows, and so were the linens. The bathroom was more than the standard size. It was instead large. My only complaint was the water pressure; it was relatively weak, and I was expecting to be blasted by large amounts of water force with that nice bathroom. We checked in at 11 p.m. on a Wednesday, and we had two persons in front of us, only one attending the front desk. So we waited about 15-18 minutes to check in; our room was prepaid. Room service closes at midnight, and at 11:15 p.m., there are very few things to pick out from the menu because it is late. We had the “Chapin churrasco,” which was refried beans, sweet plantains, and two large pieces of excellent thick steak medium 👍. I think it would be beneficial if they had a kiosk for prepaid guests to avoid waiting in line, especially that late at night. Parking and breakfast were included; we left at 9 a.m. the following day and were in a rush, so we did not taste the complimentary breakfast, which I imagine would have been excellent. Getting out of the parking lot is a tight squeeze with a pickup truck or SUV; traffic in the area was light, but it was probably due to all the recent protests. Would I stay again? Absolutely!! It’s literally under 9 minutes from La Aurora airport at most.

I booked two rooms in this hotel for my family and I. But when we check in and tried to get to our rooms, the elevator was not working we had to wait approximately 20min. Then the fire alarm when off in my room at 3am in the morning. I then asked to speak to the General Manager and the front desk informed me that he was not available, this was the same case for 3 consecutive days. I requested a refund and I still haven’t heard back from the hotel management team. Worse hotel ever. Don’t Stay!!

At the hotel now and the WiFi is very slow and inconsistent! This hotel needs to step up and invest in this basic necessity. Rooms are clean, amenities are basic. So if Wifi is important, stay at a different hotel!

I have traveled for business and vacations to several places and stayed in many Hotels, but this hotel was an excellent stay. The Staffs were very helpful and pleasant, we were so impressed with their services, especially those at the Market buffet, Jessica, Bartolomé and all of them. I apologize for forgetting theirs names, but it’s impossible to remember all of them as they were several people helping us at the breakfast place every day. The restaurants offered a delicious variety of food , the location was great, the airport was so close about 15 minutes. Several restaurants shopping around the area everything with the walking distance. The chefs was so kind to send some delicious treats to our room before we left the hotel. We are so grateful for your service!

Nice hotel! Like any other Intercontinental around the world, beautiful views, great gym and good food. Rooms are spacious and clean, great location close to shops and restaurants.

Excellent stay. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The restaurants offered a nice variety and the food was so good! Great location. About 20 min Uber ride from the airport. Walking distance to food & shopping. Spacious room. FYI- loved the thick, large bath towels. Really nice pool, gym. Will return again!

Rooms were dirty, carpet smelled horrible, at the gym- some of the equipment was turned off or dirty, towels smelled as well, rooms smelled funky, rooms closer to the elevators were extremely loud. Staff was not helpful and when asked to speak to the GM, staff said no, it was confidential! Very unprofessional staff.

What happened to the great company Intercontinental? I had sent 2 emails and they do not even bother to answer, even if I had been customer not just once? I also contacted them via their facebook site - no reaction. Do these people know how long it took to create such a high class reputation? I'm very, very much disappointed

LOVE this hotel! Service as amazing, definitely recommend getting the breakfast buffet. Everything was tasty and a pretty decent selection of food options. As far as room, it was clean, beds were super comfortable, pillows were not too hard or soft. Water pressure is amazing! And close to a lot of restaurants. Regarding going out. Definitely suggest not going out alone and let the hotel know where your going as a back up. Otherwise, definitely coming back!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Latin America. The staff was super friendly. The room including bed and pillows were very comfortable. The gym is open 24 hours and has a nice selection. There is also a great pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. There’s no AC in the gym and the jacuzzi doesn’t get super hot but these are minor things. This hotel is stellar! Highly recommend
