A beautiful gem hidden in plain view amongst the bustling Gautemala City's Avenida Reforma. I parked in front of the university and then walked to the entrance. Includes access to the natural history museum and the garden (the main attraction, entrance to the left) Trees, Plants, Flowers, butterflies, birds, a few squirrels, and a cactai garden. It is one of tranquil places in Guatemala City! A must see!

It would be a great and beautiful place if it was taken better care of.

A spot in the city that holds a great variaty of plants, trees, flowers and a serpentarium with different species which can be found in the Guatemalan territory.

Sadly it's closed for the rest of December. The hours listed here on Google don't reflect that.

Beautiful quiet hidden gem in Guatemala. Escape the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. Only Q10 to enter. Entrance is on 32 Calle via the Museum. Buzz the bell or wave to the security guard.

Probably the saddest rendition of a botanic garden I have seen. Especially in Guatemala, where the gorgeous botany is plentiful. The plants weren't even well cared for and there was no attempt at aesthetic placement. C'mon, Guatemala, I know you can do wayyyy better.

The exhibitions are an embarrassment for the most part, what makes the place worth it is the garden. There are a few interesting fossils, the diagram of Earth's timeline is fun to watch. There are a few taxidermied animals but most are sadly old and barely holding together. The garden is nice and peaceful, you will see a lot of trails and birds. The entrance is on the Mariscal Cruz road with limited parking. You just need to get your car close to the metal gate and a guard will open it. There is also parking near the roundabout, on the street, take it at your own risk.

Everyone with a heartbeat should go here. I probably spent at least an hour in the garden. It’s by far the best botanical garden I’ve ever been in and is VERY well taken care of. I recommend going and finding a bench to sit on, you’ll see birds of all sorts of shapes and colors. I even saw a well-mannered possum wander down a nearby path. They have a local pollinator hive on the grounds and a cute little museum as well. 10 GTQ to enter and well worth it.
