Practical business hotel well located next to Reforma Avenue, with a choice of restaurants and malls nearby. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. They have all amenities including coffee facilities and wifi. There is a bar with happy hour, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The gym is ridiculously small and useless, no treadmill.

Based in my first few hour impressions, it's an okay hotel, surrounded by much better ones (the location is very nice). The staff are very friendly. My room is spacious and bright, yet dated (maybe 90's). Love the wall art/posters. The internet is very slow almost disfunctiinal: They claim 20 kb/s up and down, but it is much lower than that...

Pay attention to the girls at the reception if they tell you that your booking has not been payed by your company. They will ask you to pay for your bedroom and they will give you a dataphone that is not the oficial one from the hotel. The girl will steal yout money. Nothing against the hotel but they should fire these girls.

No smoke Hotel, which is very good for me. Restaurant is OK, compared to what you have outside just a few meters away from the hotel. Clean Room, could use a little more electrical plugins or facilities to recharge your devices... Kind but some how distant workers. Internet was not so good. Very nice location though...

Well located in the zona hotelera in proximity to lots of restaurants. Huge suites at affordable prices, though partly worn and rather old-fashioned. Comfortable beds. Competent staff.

The hotel was very clean, and staff was extremely pleasant. I only stayed one night but was impressed. The resteraunt served great meals and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again.

This place was awesome and quite a surprise for my last minute trip to GC. Really good value...awesome room with full kitchen, balcony, LR with sofa bed and 2 double beds in separate bedroom with door. I was solo so it was fine. The only caveat is that the bathroom is past the bedroom. So if you lock the bedroom door for some alone time, the folks staying in the living room will come a knockin' when its time to tinkle. But that is not to detract away from how great the hotel is. The buffet was also fine. I was able to walk to the zoo from this hotel although the traffic had me second guessing that decision. But all was well. I took a 8 dollar uber back.

Offers a tranquil and memorable experience in Guatemala City. Attentive staff and elegant accommodations. The one site restaurant offered a diverse menu of delicious dishes.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Casa Veranda in Guatemala City recently this past weekend, and I can't recommend a hotel in Guatemala City more. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel staff, they were the most helpful. Anything I needed, whether it was a taxi, converting US Dollars to Quetzales, bottles of water, or recommendations for places to eat, the hotel staff was exemplary. The hotel manager, Yajaira, was the best. She really went above and beyond to help me and make sure I enjoyed my stay in Guatemala City. She was able to assist me with all my problems and requests immediately, efficiently, and with the best customer service. I would definitely recommend anyone staying in Guatemala City stay at Hotel Casa Veranda.

Nice 3 star hotel, great rooms, good food and excellent location! The check-in personal could be better and less uncomfortable, other than that it was a super stay!!

My family had a very delightful experience while staying in Casa Veranda. We were looking for a nice place to rest during days after a surgery, the staff was very friendly and the beds were very comfy. We will return in the future for sure.

Paid for two rooms 904 and 905. 905 was dirty so they moved us to 906. 904 the bathroom toilet didn’t work.. Pablo wasn’t helpful and they would not answer any calls all night. Place is a sick joke….

What a luxurious and beautiful hotel! We used to stay at the Barcelo but on this trip I wanted more room for the three of us prior to our departure. I called and received the most amazing customer service from Amanda at the front desk. And then Amanda went out of her way to make our check in and special requests go smoothly and quickly. The lobby has a comfortable 1st class vibe and the breakfast is a beautiful buffet with many hot and cold dishes plus fruit and amazing juices and made to order eggs and omelets! The servers kept the coffee flowing tableside. But the real kicker is the incredible huge 2 room suite with 2 queen beds and amazing hot water in the shower plus a whole additional massive room with a couch/bed, love seat, kitchen, bar and TV plus a very big classy coffee table. After our weeks volunteer trip in Guatemala we feel like royalty. It started with a phone conversation with Amanda. Now this is going to be our new go to hotel in Guatemala city. Sorry Barcelo.

More like a apartment than hotel. I stayed at Hotel Veranda for only one night so that I would be close to the airport. The hotel would also be perfect for extended stays for either work or personal travel. Wi-Fi was decent. There was also a desk for working, and lots of kitchen counter space. There are several restaurants within walking distance. A had a few errands I needed to address before departing and the front desk staff went out of the way to make some phone calls for me. The breakfast was great. It is a hybrid of buffet with full-service. There is the option to enjoy breakfast inside or on the small covered "balcony" area. I would stay here again :)

Great hotel. Clean modern hotel. The area is safe and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants. They do charge $10 per person for a ride to the airport but Uber was $4 for both of us. Uber is definitely the best way to get around Guatemala city.

We just needed one night after a late airline arrival. Underground parking was included on the property. The suite was clean, clean, and clean. Furnishings were classic and well suited for the unit. Included breakfast buffet was more than adequate for both of us, vegano and omnivore.

I do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. I stayed on jan 2 with my family , there was no hot water and i had to move to the Radisson hotel, they charged us one night and i was supposed to get the 4 nights that i didn't stay refunded, until today June 2nd half year later i am still waiting for my refund, they keep telling me is an "international transaction " and that is why its taking time , every time i spoke with 'Edgar Toledo' the credit dept keeps telling me it will take 24 hrs to show on my acct and its been 6 months and i still not received the credit. Bad customer service. The rooms were nice but not that clean. They should've let us know there was no hot water when we called to confirm our room the same day. Or at least offered a discount., obviously noone there knows how to do business. WILL NOT RECOMMEND SPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE TO CREDIT YOUR ACCT.

The suites are spacious and pleasant, it's nice to have large balconies too. My suite contained a good kitchen with a counter bar. Pans for cooking were included but strangely no cutlery or crockery. If it were not for the truly incompetent staff I would give 4 stars overall. Unfortunately most of them don't know how to use the credit card machine. On the first day they tried 5 times to charge my card and failed forcing me to use another, the next day when I decided to extend a night I was able to use the original card because the person at the counter understood how to use the machine, the following day extending again unfortunately it was a different person at the counter and so payment failed and I was forced to use cash. I left cash at the desk and waited until the following morning so I could use my card with the more skilled person and receive a refund of cash. Also separately from the above the ATM machine at the front charged me but did not contain cash, emptying my account and giving me nothing in return. The amount will be refunded with my insurance but as it takes a week this is still annoying. This level of service is really not acceptable. To the manager: Please teach all your staff how to accept card payments so the customer has the same experience every time and is not dependent on whoever is at the front desk.

Chose this place for a two week stay and I had a pleasant one. The key to the room is a card that also provides access to the lifts. The rooms are cozy. The one I stayed had two TVs. A big one in bed room and a medium sized in the living. Kitchenette is part of the living room. It has a four burner hob, a small sink, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, some vessels, coffee machine, toaster and a knife. I had to ask for the plates and cutlery. Only thing missing was a cutting pad which they don't have. The staff in the dining area are very friendly and courteous. They took very good care of us. They knew what we want and would make it available just as we take the table. Given a chance to revisit Guatemala, I would definitely choose this place again. Thanks to whole Hotel staff for making our stay pleasant.
