Went for a massage at their spa and it was the best I have ever had. Completely transported. Nice to be able to use the steam room before the massage for an hour too. Full relaxation. Didn’t stay in the hotel but spa experience post volcano hike was very much worth it.

Everything you can imagine and then some. Relax, eat, drink and enjoy everything this place has to offer from their amazing restaurant, buffet, pool, spa, gym, gardens and authentic Guatemalan memorabilia.

Nice place, but a little pricey. It feels like an oasis in Antigua. The restaurant staff were not well trained. On the menu I most enjoyed the Guatemalan items, but at the same time, you'll likely find better food and service at the other restaurants within walking distance. The pool looks nice, but there were many children in it. We enjoyed the gym much and the "premium" room was very comfortable with a pleasing view and ambiance of the courtyard.

Luxury hotel in Antigua. Amazing food specially breakfast (you should pay for it separately). Full of authentic dishes and exotic fruit and juices! Corn bread with cheese was great. It has relatively a big pool in central part of the hotel which you should definitely try. Room service is not free so the numbers on the third parties websites are just for the room and basically everything else is an extra.

A beautiful hotel in a great location with amazing food! The outdoor courtyard that can be used for events has a view, over the wall, of old church ruins across the street. I attended an amazing wedding here and rented a four bedroom house around the corner owned by the hotel (with access to all hotel amenities).

Beautiful Hotel. Wonderful breakfast, make sure to add the breakfast option to your reservation. Great location. Easy walk to local attractions. Wear comfortable shoes. Anywhere you walk will be on cobblestone roads. Great hotel with everything you need. Very comfortable.

Clean. AC and safe in room. Accommodating staff. Rooms are a little old but that is to be expected.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful grounds, awesome breakfast, classy and clean rooms, and super helpful and attentive staff. The staff really went above and beyond to make my stay great and help me book a number of activities. This took my stay from a very good one to a great one. Highly recommend the Porta Hotel Antigua.

We stay at Sub hotel San Jorge ( as we have long stay(4 months) in 7 years ago.) and decided to have some beverages/ pastries in hotel La porta. The juice is good ( not so sweet as others in Antigua), pastries were with good taste too. However , when I almost finished it, I ate a small piece of paper from my cake. Wow….. which was really bad. The service is great, but the pastries chef need to pay more attention on food hygiene。When we paid, they didn’t charge me the problem cake, but it still didn’t make me happy.

One of the nicest Hotels in Antigua. Although we didn’t stay here, we went there for breakfast buffet. The buffet here is one of the most popular one in town and for Sunday brunch, the place is packed. You have to make reservation at least a day ahead. The selections of the buffet is extensive. Food are placed in two levels in the courtyard of the restaurant. The buffet is divided into several sections. There is a traditional Guatemala food section that included varieties of tamales made with different fillings and the omelets station, the traditional western food, and fruit stations as well as pastry station. I was only able to tried the omelet and fruit and some tamales, then I was full. But was able to enjoyed their tropical fruit juice. I was surprised to find some lychee and papaya here as well. The staff here are super nice. They try to accommodate all the requests of the guests and they run around to serve the s patrons as fast as they can. The price is also very reasonable. I didn’t know the exact amount and I believe is around $25 USD per person. The hotel itself is very nice too with a big swimming pool for guests to cool down. Will try this hotel next time.

Gorgeous. A lot of Guatemalan families use this hotel to bring their families up to Antigua, so it is ver children-friendly and at the same time has authentic food and a great location. I was happy with my stay there

It's nice but nothing special for the price. The room i had definitely didn't look like the pictures as it was really small. The staff are cold, not sure about the restaurant. But the rooms are clean and I'd give it a 4 or 5 star if they looked more like their pictures. Also. The photos make it look like the building with the wedding photos is accessible but it's only for weddings. I thought we'd be able to explore it. If you want s clean overpriced hotel this is good. But if you're on somewhat of a budget you could stay somewhere else and have just a nice experience.

This hotel is contracted to a system. They pay money and get 5 stars and good comments on Google. And the people, who manages the system doesnt pay money to the users, who gives those stars and comments. Because they ask the uaers to send money first then recieve more money then they sent. Short summery: none of the comments here are real. They are all fake grades and comments. Do not trust!

I recently stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua, and I must say, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. This luxurious establishment has set a new standard in hospitality, and I cannot speak highly enough of the impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and attention to detail that made my stay truly unforgettable. What truly sets Porta Hotel apart, however, is the exceptional level of service provided by their attentive staff. Jhoni Pocon, an extremely knowledgeable Concierge at the place was truly amazing who went above and beyond to ensure my every need was met and my stay was flawless. In conclusion, my stay was nothing short of exceptional that surpassed all expectations. The service and hospitality at this place is simply unmatched.

This hotel is so fun and beautiful. The architecture is gorgeous and the way everything is laid out makes it easy for a family reunion. The bar is open pretty late and the food served is so delicious. The rooms themselves are also very comfortable and picturesque.

We had a work event here, and all of us stayed at the hotel. Great service. Staff at the events thought through the small details, were attentive and professional. Made the event run smoothly.

Exquisite!!!! It's a perfect location for a wedding. I absolutely loved it. I wanted to leave the States and truly feel away from the States, and this delivered.

Porta Antigua has been mixed bag. - rooms are clean. We would have preferred room with bigger beds but housekeeping has been excellent. It is nearly spotless! - breakfast was disappointing experience in service. The cooks at egg station never made eye contact and it took us nearly 30 minutes to get omelettes. Having said that, Dayana our server was very sweet and checked on us. We went out for breakfast after initial experience. - Spa was mixed bag. Wife hairdresser was excellent but my masseuse was terrible. Despite giving feedback, she continued her way. Not sure if she was inexperienced or has language barrier but it was not worth the cost. Very disappointing experience. - your concierge service is overpriced compared to competition. You should revisit your vendor for fair market pricing for customers. For what you charge compared to competition you need to be much better. This isn’t 4-star hotel by any stretch.

I recommend this as a hotel but not a place to have a big event. Our rehearsal dinner was great here (small event). However, our wedding event was a disaster. Our wedding coordinator (Ivon) was extremely helpful in the beginning but then it was really hard getting a hold of her. The taste test was amazing but food was horrible for the actual event. I had ordered 3 desserts and they only served 2. I had specifically asked for no sprinkles on one of the desserts but was disregarded on the actual day. I also wanted burgers to go at the end of the night and it was completely forgotten. And worst of all, they sent someone to charge me at the end of the party in front of my guests. Can’t complain about the servers, they did their best under the circumstances. Don’t recommend for a big event unless you have a wedding planner who will be on top of every detail.

I absolutely love, LOVE, this place. This is my second stay here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is great. The gardens and pool area is gorgeous! It is so peaceful to hear the birds sing while looking at the volcanoes that surround Antigua. You can even say high to the macaws. The place has old world charm with modern amenities. It is in walking distance to many attractions. So calm and relaxing.

Porta Hotel is fantastic. The service is unparalleled, the rooms are spacious and well-kept, the location is unbeatable! You might be tempted to stay at the other more well-known/famous hotels, but try this one. From the moment we arrived, the hotel was extremely accommodating with both our newborn and our dog. All the staff was willing to go above and beyond for our stay! 10/10 - will stay here again.

Staff was attentive, prompt, and welcoming. We had to park offsite but hotel shuttle was swift in picking us up and helping us with our luggage. Rooms were clean and cleanliness noticed throughout the hotel. Food was delicious. Highly recommend staying here, will definitely stay here again!

Excellent and friendly service. We stayed here with a medical brigade and loved the rooms and food. There was a sanitizing station at the entrance and a friendly doorman to greet us every day. Covid precautions were also excellent. A beautiful stay for a good price, I highly recommend.

We came to visit Porta Hotel Antigua for a Buffet Breakfast. We absolutely loved the service, the food was amazing. The variety of fruits, traditional Guatemalan dishes, juices, breads, variety of sauces to accompany your omelette, Pupusas 🫓, tamales, Chuchitos, pickled cabbage, hot sauces made with the spicy but tiny “chipilin”, plus the Ambiance, views, music and climate made our stay so unique and so pleasant. Helping us were Sofia Vasquez, who’s so helpful, caring, attentive and professional and Fulgencio Chova who’s very attentive and professional. I’d definitely recommend this place, as it compliments the Antigua Guatemala experience.

I stayed here for one night. I got to see two units before staying and one of the two units had two dead cockroaches in it. It made me a bit worried but I didn’t have any problems in the room I stayed in. The room was a bit dated but in fairly good shape.

The hotel was very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. OK sized room with very high ceiling. Bed and pillows were very nice. Good pressure in the shower and abundant hot water. About 4 blocks from the town square.

Really stunning hotel. All the staff were super helpful and there was clean water fountains to fill up bottles from. Didn’t try any food so can’t comment on that but the ambience looked amazing. Used the gym and it’s pretty old but has everything you need.

I recently stayed at the Porta Hotel Antigua and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that immediately put me at ease. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and a peaceful courtyard that made for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. My room was spacious and comfortable, with luxurious bedding and all the amenities I could ask for. But the real star of the show here is the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. From the friendly front desk staff to the helpful housekeeping team, everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. The hotel also has a fantastic restaurant, where I enjoyed some of the best food I had during my stay in Antigua. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Overall, I highly recommend the Porta Hotel Antigua. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful and luxurious getaway, with fantastic service and beautiful surroundings.

This is a great place to stay in Antique. Everything was absolutely great. It couldn't have been any better. The restaurant was great and ALL of the service was great. You'd have to see it to believe it.

The rooms were acceptable but the service was disappointing. We attempted to check in about 15 minutes early and they told us to wait and wouldn't check us in until the exact time of check-in. After a long day of traveling, this was very disappointing. They also made us pay extra for a 3rd person in the room yet did not provide any accommodations for that 3rd person. We only had towels for 2, bathrobes for 2, glasses for 2, etc. We pushed back on paying for the 3rd person and they brought a few extra towels but that's it. The bathrobe would have been particularly nice considering we were across the street from the pool. I would recommend not bothering to mention if you have more than 2 people staying in a room with 2 double beds. 4 people should be very reasonable. They were also weird about booking the shuttle to the airport and advised we leave well before we needed to. Luckily we left in 2 groups on 2 different days and the first group gave us the information that leaving at 4 AM for a 10 AM flight out of Guatemala City was not necessary. Aeromexico's counter didn't even open until 7:30 AM.

Stayed here recently during my trip to Antigua. Hotel is conveniently located near to restaurants and an easy walk to Santa Catalina Arch. Grounds are well kept and tropical flowers abound. We tried the restaurant for breakfast (room service) and although tasty, do note that it will be pricey. Staff friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel located in the heart of Antigua. Our garden room was luxurious with a fireplace and rain shower. Jhoni provided us with excellent service. We also ate breakfast in the hotel, and it was delicious with a variety of foods to choose from. We only stayed 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer!

Rooms are a little expensive, but very nice. Our bag was delayed and we checked with front desk 4 times to see if it was in. Had to go down a 5th time even though they said they would deliver it...

We recently hosted our wedding at Porta and also stayed there for 2 nights. The entire wedding planning process was excellent. Ivonne, who we worked with was fantastic. David, our day of planner, was also so good at his job. The food at our wedding was fantastic and the event space was beautiful. We stayed in the suite, which was so gorgeous and I would 100% stay in there again. The space was just so gorgeous, with a living room area that's separate from the bedroom. It also had a jacuzzi-style tub, which was fantastic after the wedding. The suite was in the side building, which was the perfect place for us to take our wedding photos. It's private, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. Everyone we encountered at Porta was helpful and so nice. Friends and family had deluxe garden rooms and they were very nice. I think a few rooms had turn-down service, which was a nice touch. I cannot recommend Porta as a hotel enough.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, like a little botanical garden. We would wake up and watch different birds on the trees outside our balcony. You also get a clear view of Feugo volcano, which we saw erupt with ash twice (from Porta!). The rooms are good sized, the bathroom is large with all the amenities. We had breakfast at the hotel, and while it came highly recommended it was only ok. The service can be spotty, our towels were not replaced a couple days and the bed was not made well. But, forgivable as all other things are so great.

I stayed there for 4 days and the service was more than excellent! The best hospitality and extremely clean. Everyone was on top of everything and really helpful. In walking distance of the markets, restaurants and activities. At the front desk you can book activities to do while you stay. The spa was A+++ and the atmosphere was peaceful/ Serene. 10 out 10 I definitely recommend

👍👍 A must-see and do in Guatemala. This is not only a restaurant but also a museum and garden. The food is phenomenal. The views from all angles of this large location are amazing. If there is a long wait to eat, don't worry. It takes about an hour to walk the property and enjoy what it has to offer.

👍👍 We love Luna de Miel and have come here three times on three separate visits to Antigua- we live in the capital. My husband has ordered the Chipotle twice, and the Tejana.
