So rude. When we said the room wasn't for our liking (small room, no window, bathroom curtain smling, warm in the toilet, and saying different amount of money to pay before we came and after we drop our luggage) they treated us like trash. No matter why a customer decide to leave, this is no way to treat another human being. Disgusting.

Like a prison. Weird man on reception at night watches you on the excessive CCTV. He comes to confront you from downstairs. Soleless place. The rooms stink of a seriously strong cleaning product so you feel like you're sleeping in the toilet. Kitchen is not well equipped. Pans are old a dirty. You cannot smoke ANYWHERE on site. I was sent to the street at 11pm. There are signs everywhere for things you cannot do. Staff growling at you. They must have had some really bad guests because this dude is rude.

I turned up exhausted and without any reservations in town, so I took a room. Maybe I was unlucky, but I got a pokey room in a corridor next to the office, something like a cell with minimal privacy. The place is clean and the staff were helpful. Their little dogs are lovely and a nice feature. I'd give it a higher rating, but believe the place is overpriced in comparison to what you can get elsewhere nearby. I moved out the next night and stayed elsewhere for a week.

Rooms are nice an clean. But it is strictly forbidden to smoke on any terras so you have to sit on the street! So if you are a smoker dont go!!! at 9pm all the outdoor areas are closed, so no social life in this hostel! I know its not a party hostel but having a chat with others would have been nice. and there are way to many cameras on the property! The Guy in the Reception has a livestream and sees everything witch makes you very uncomfortable sitting in the common areas. !!Would have give 4stars bec. its still a nice room but not after this answer from the staff!!!

BEWARE! This establishment will rob you! They charge you for FALSE DAMAGES to their property at Tripple the Amount! They charged me $35 American dollars for FAKE damage to their towel and when I asked for proof they couldn’t verify it. They wouldn’t give me the managers info Very disappointed in their dishonesty. Please beware.

The place is clean and quiet. Maybe too quiet. One of the workers gets inside the dorm room and turns off the light at like 10pm even if you are the only one there. The shared kitchen has hours and is in the second floor , the stairs are almost impossible to climb.

Cancellation policy is a literal scam. Stay far away. Lots of other options in Antigua.

Hot and uncomfortable, requested an additional fan, however, I was told one could not be provided. Private room is extremely small & undesirable. The man at reception accepted my cash payment of 300 quetzel, then canceled my reservation after I voiced my concerns, without my permission or knowledge. That is unscrupulous and unacceptable behavior. Be weary of this establishment.

Much better places available in Antigua for the same price. Would honestly not waste my money again in this dump. My first night in the dorm my bed literally fell apart, waking up all the guests. Four planks fell off during the night and I had to exit my bed or I would just fall to the ground. The lack of bathroom is very inconvenient. The locks to lockers are annoyingly difficult to open. The second night I wanted to get some water but the water in the dispensers was very dirty. I pointed this out to the guy at reception but apparently dirty water is normal. The only way I would get clean water was to wait until morning or buy a bottle from the hostel. My advice if you do stay here: open the water dispenser before you drink from it. Or better yet get your water from outside this hostel.

We were very well taken care of here! They offer private rooms with full bathroom attached. Very cute inside, open air hallway, fresh towels provided daily, complimentary daily cleaning, premises was kept spotless. Cute outdoor upstairs (spiral staircase) with view of the volcano! They had two well behaved small dogs which was amazing to have around as a dog lover (they don't come in the rooms) The rooms are cooled with fans and open windows. The fan broke at one point and the helpful front desk personnel was able to fix it immediately! Felt very safe and secure, front gate with front desk personnel at desk at all times, who were all terrific 👍

Decent enough rooms. Don't use their towels, if it has any dirt from the floor in it upon checking out you'll need to pay 125q. There's better places to stay that allow you to use towels

Private rooms are extremely small, hot, and uncomfortable. Additional fan requested and denied. Request for room change was also denied with a smile. Poor hospitality service and high cost for habitation that is greatly lacking in numerous ways. I would advise others to book elsewhere. Loved having this hotel as my base in antigua... stayed a few times while traveling around. I will be back.

This is a great spot. Clean, quiet and central to everything in the city. It’s excellent value for what you pay and my girlfriend and I booked here a second time after our Acatenago hike. Highly recommended

The owner are staff are cheerful and helpful in every way. It was my first day in Guatemala and they helped my find everything I needed, arranged shuttles from airport and to Lake Atitlan where I have stayed intermittently. They have kept prompt correspondence by email in arranging for my stay there and corresponding shuttles 4 times in the last 4 months. Don't miss the lovely upstairs patio!

24h check-in. Friendly helpful stuff. Dorm has 12 comfy beds with privacy sheets. Towels, linen and blanket are provided. Terrace is beautiful with a well equipped kitchen. Everything is clean. 2 sweet playful dogs. Very good price/value in my opinion

This is a great location even tho it's not a party hostel so close to Tropicana where you can go and get drinks and party but still enjoy a good night sleep. Also most of the clubs and bars are just on this street.

You cant smoke you need to get outside the hostal but you have a good privacy in the dorms room

Room and bathroom are clean and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the whole common area including kitchen and place to stay closes at 9 pm and there is no possibility to hang out except from your room.

We really enjoyed our stay here. In fact we stayed here two separate times during our trip. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and work so hard. The terrace up top is a beautiful place to hang out during the day. We liked that this was a quiet hostel so if you’re looking for a party place this is not it.

I have been staying at this hostel for several years. The location is incredible for the value only 5 min walk to the central square and lots of restaurants. Jessica at the front desk is very friendly and very helpful. It has a great roof deck with views of the mountains and place to prepare your own food and includes a fidge. Book it. .
