HOTEL WITH A HOME ATMOSPHERE, really recommended for travelers who’s spent a night or two, affordable prices. Clean and excellent service

We stayed 11 days at a place a to stay and would definitely come here again. Raul and his family do everything they can so you have the best experience. With their cats and rabbit it sure feels as home. They can arrange all excursions for great prices and work only with people they know. It’s a short walk to the city centre. We felt spoiled by the owners 😉, it was perfect for us!

This is a gem in Antigua! I didn’t even stay here, but visited my friends who were. Raul (the owner) was so nice, he even allowed me to sign up for the Pacaya Volcano hike even though I wasn’t a guest :) Lots of kitties to make you feel at home, and so safe. This truly is a Place To Stay!

One of the best places I stayed with lovely and helpful owners. The place has a warm, welcomming atmosphere. The location is perfect, the daily breakfast is tasty and the beds are comfy. It's not a big hostel, therefore it's easy to get in touch with other travellers. But If you look for a party place you should look for a different place. The hostel offers activities and trips in the area for reasonable prices. The owners Raul and Kerry help you with every question you have. I highly recommend this hostel. It felt like home.

I loved my stay at 'A Place to Stay.' Because of its small size and laid-back atmosphere, this hostel felt more like a homestay than a hostel. Raul and Kerry are incredibly kind and have a lot of knowledge about Antigua. I stayed in the 3 bed dorm, which had lockers large enough to fit my large, 46L backpack. If you stay here make sure to try Kerry's homemade peanut butter!

Amazing hostel in Antigua. Kerry and Raul, the owners, are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and delicious! The hostel itself is very cosy and has a lovely communal area. Somewhere that you just want to keep adding one more day!!

This is even more than a place to stay. It's a true welcome home away from home. Raul and Kerry Cruz are the heart of this hostel and you feel it the moment you arrive. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Delicious breakfast. Use of a kitchen. Can't recommend A Place To Stay enough.

Raúl was an excellent host. He helped me out plan my short stay in Antigua with my girlfriend and he was understanding of everything that was needed. He offered assistance anytime there was an issue. He’s super friendly along with his brother too. I hope to see them again sometime during my next visit to Guatemala. A perfect place to chill before or after conquering the nearby volcanoes. Raul also has great stories to share. A great person to have a conversation with. A genuine person. Hasta la próxima compadre 🤙🏼.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in out in central America. The owners are friendly and treat you like family, offering great suggestions and advice. I highly recommend visiting Antigua and staying here, which makes this beautiful city even better.

😠 Many problems with integrity and honesty— we constantly felt like they were trying to sneak a cheap dollar. The location itself is without a doubt beautiful, the rooms themselves were average.
