This sport is very nice if you have children, join them in fencing.

The facilities are good, spacious and with professional trainers. The only bad and deficient thing is the cleanliness in the toilets, showers and facilities. (Cleaning 0).

Good place to practice a different sport, the gym they use is adequate, it was inaugurated, in the tactful and transitory military government of Mejía Victores

Everything is very beautiful, the only thing missing is that there is toilet paper and paper towels in the bathrooms and it would be 5 stars

The word Fencing is derived from the Old High German Skirmyan and means to defend oneself. Fencing consists of defending and attacking an opponent through the use of the Foil, Epée or Saber according to the rules established by the International Fencing Federation. Mr. Alejandro García Ureta together with Mr. Arturo Ramírez, Augusto Morales Dardón and Gilberto Cordón organized “THE SOCIETY OF FENCERS” in 1928, holding its first event on April 21 of the same year. On April 10, 1950, within the framework of the “VI Central American and Caribbean Sports Games”, Eduardo Guirola won the gold medal in the Individual Foil specialty. During 1952, Rubén Soberón, the most prominent, Eduardo López and Antonio Chocano Batres participated in the Helsinki Olympics. On September 23, 1971, by Agreement No. 59-71, the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala –CDAG– recognized the Fencing Federation. The first Departmental Sports Associations organized were those of: Guatemala, Sacatepéquez, Jalapa and Petén.
