Nice place to excercise, run, walk, best time to walk after 8pm when there's no traffic and beauty view of city lights

Nice little area with monument. Nothing special to see on our walk from hotel (20 minutes) but this was a great introduction to some of the historical parts.

Lovely little park surrounded by traffic. Great central feature, some nice places to sit and flowers of the season. Also spotted this drunk guy in a car who crashed and wouldn’t get out when the tow guys came. Classic Guatemala

This symbolises how the government were happy to attract foreign investment by wasting money on monuments to impress visitors. I'm a stupid foreigner but it's s nice square with a sinister underbelly if you're looking for it.

Beautiful plaza with gorgeous landscaping and exercise equipment. Too bad the fountain did have water.

Glorified traffic circle but the fountain and tiled benches (in Spanish style) gives it a gentil air. Also some basic exercise equipment for free exercise although not sure one wants to do it surrounded by roaring traffic and exhaust ...

Nice “park” with the monument and water feature. Some statues and plaques around, the plaza letters, and some ~gym equipment. Prettier in the evening with the lights, Christmas time they decorate with more lights.

People like to exercise and walk around the monument.

This is a nice area to go visit and view some of Guatemala City's monuments. The area is always clean, and always patrolled by local city police.

Gorgeous central square - perfect city escape

Beautiful park in the middle of a major circle/intersection. Took a while to walk from historical district but taking a metro bus back took 10 minutes and only cost 13 cents (USD)
