Museum of colonial art located in one of the oldest university buildings in all of the Americas. Mostly paintings and statues. The best part of the experience may be the building itself. Price of admission is 70 Q which is fairly steep.

Good spot to visit. Local guides will show you all of Guatemala's art. A lot of beautiful pictures. Only concern was about conservation. I felt that everything was a little bit old and even the guide was touching on everything. Despite that, the place is beautiful. Did you know this place appears on the Guatemela's 100 bill 😊

Was really looking forward to this museum . But having two different prices for foreigners and locals is something I don’t support. To me this is wrong Paying 5 times the amount pfff

Unless you are a die hard fan of colonial painting, it is really not worth the money and time. The lighting is very bad, some of the pieces you can hardly see. But there is one saving grace in the form of mural in one of the smaller rooms, it depicts the process of getting a doctoral degree during the pontifical college era.

(Translated by Google) I think he could be better taken care of, to be invested more to make it a museum, not just a shabby and abandoned building. They could promote more events, improve the rooms or simply with dust and keep the dummies they use to demonstrate how they were before classes at the University would be a good thing. I am disappointed to see something that could be great in such a bad state.

Great place if you're into learning how things were during USAC history and Catholic church. Has many paintings which I believe bare original. The only downside is that there's no one explaining what is going on in the picture or what was it.

As a visitor I am fairly happy to be charged a higher price than locals, however this place is simply not worth q50. Had I better.command of Spanish I would have asked for a refund.

As others have mentioned, it’s a pretty small museum and it’s true that much of the art isn’t well lit. However, the architecture itself is beautiful and I enjoyed taking a 20-30min stroll through the galleries. The 50q entrance fee was maybe a bit steep for what you got, but ultimately still not a bad price.

(Translated by Google) It is a very small museum and without much to show, the entrance is absurdly expensive for foreigners, and inside you see nothing that really justifies paying so much, the paintings are very neglected, it is seen that the museum does not care about the state of its works, which are outdoors, deteriorating due to humidity and the visit of people. Most of the paintings are very dark for years and it is not seen that they have tried to restore or protect them in any way, they have several closed rooms and in which there is something, it shows very little for the price it has, definitely not worth the sorrow (Original) Es un museo muy pequeño y sin mucho que mostrar, la entrada es absurdamente cara para los extranjeros, y adentro no ves nada que realmente justifique el pagar tanto, las pinturas están muy descuidadas, se ve que el museo no le importa el estado de sus obras, que están a aire libre, deteriorándose por la humedad y la visita de las personas. La mayoría de las pinturas están muy oscuras por los años y no se ve que se hayan intentado restaurar o protegerlas de algún modo, tienen varias salas cerradas y en las que hay algo, se muestra muy poco para el precio que tiene, definitivamente no vale la pena

(Translated by Google) A hidden gem in the tourist's eye. A complex that not only illustrates, but also transports visitors to colonial times. Very well preserved but with visible deterioration over time. It is a place that must be taken advantage of because in some places you can see that there are water leaks due to mold in the paint. This should be a must for the visitor of this city history.

Half the rooms were closed and those that were open were very badly lit with no explanation and not many labels. Save your money and see better preserved work by Cristobal de Villalpando & Tomas de Merlo for free in the art museum - unless you want to see the original fountain on the Qz100 note.
