My wife and I just finished 7 days (21 dives) with Team Haka and we cannot recommend this dive center highly enough. The entire team works together to provide a well orchestrated day of diving every day with outstanding customer service and big smiles all day every day. The local dive masters do comprehensive briefings for each dive to make sure everyone is comfortable and knows exactly what to expect from the dive. Equipment was all in extremely good condition and worked flawlessly for the entire week. The Haka crew was also extremely helpful outside of the boat making recommendations when asked for their favorite restaurants or who to book tours with. I cannot begin to describe how friendly the entire team is making you feel like family the second you step in the shop. Everyone on the boat knew our names when we walked on the first time and we all had a great time diving and some good laughs in transit and during surface intervals. The marine life was also incredible with a huge variety of hard and soft corals as well as hundreds of different tropical fish. Additionally, we saw lots of turtles, multiple octopus, schools of both jacks and barracuda, baby white tip reef sharks, and so so much more. The dive masters have great eyes for spotting marine life and do a great job making sure everyone in the group of 1-4 divers sees what they are pointing at. This has been the best dive center we've ever been to and are already planning our next dive trip to Panglao just so we can dive with them again. Go with Team Haka, it will be the best decision you make your entire vacation!

The best dive center that I have ever experienced! Everything is just perfect. The dives were great, the food is delicious on the boat trip, the service is incredible. The dive-masters are so friendly and help you with everything! Changing your equipment, taking your fins of in the water, put soap in your goggles. They will do everything to give you the best experience 💯👌

Best place to begin one’s diving journey! Everyone there is friendly and jovial. They made sure that you are very well taken care of and feeling safe and confident when diving with them. I had the pleasure of learning from Damien Berthaut who made the entire learning process fun and engaging, more than that, he was also very patient and understanding with my concerns and struggles which helped me feel safe and confident whenever we go for a dive. I did both my Open Water and my Advanced training with Haka and loved it. Pete was a wonderful instructor who took all my worries seriously and motivated me with his amazing energy. What an amazing experience. Have had six dives with these guys and the service was impeccable. Gear is all set up for you by the time you reach the boat and the crew are super helpful getting your gear on and off. Saw so many turtles as well done as barracuda, Jack fish, lionfish and so many more. Can't wait to come back and dive again.

Some highlights: Top quality well-maintained gear, amazing local fruit/snacks (Banana bread!!) and lunches on the boat, driver to pick you up and drop you off, and some of the best dive masters we've ever worked with. Not to mention, the reefs, aquatic life (Sea Turtles, Nudibranches, Mantis Shrimp, Eels, Frogfish, + many more!) and dive sites are some of the prettiest we have ever seen. Great experience diving with Haka. This is one of the few (maybe only) Filipino-owned dive shop in the area so please consider supporting them. 🙂 The crew especially was excellent. They helped us out so much with everything on the boat and were great to hangout with. The owner is super friendly and came with us one of the days. Diving Balicasag is probably the best diving I've done to date. The lunch was delicious and they provide fruit, banana bread, coffee, and iced tea along the way. I had an incredible experience at Haka! I did a DSD with instructor Nikki and it was absolutely a top-notch service. The instructors are highly skilled and knowledgeable, ensuring safety and a fantastic dive every time. The equipment is well-maintained, and the dive sites are simply breathtaking. In 9 dives, I saw 2 large octopus approx. 45 cm bodies not including the arms, sea snakes, numerous turtles (largest over 1.5m). The choral looked very healthy here compared to Cebu dive sites. The staff were enthusiastic and made this place feel like a 1st class holiday. Thank you Haka

I did my dive master training for 6 weeks with HAKA. What can I say except that it was an amazing experience. All the dives sites from Balicasag to Pamilacan are soooo good, one of my favourite places to dive so far. The team is amazing, super professional and I really felt like home for this past 6 weeks. Professional, friendly, generous service, and affordable rates. My friend and I hadn't dived in a while, and Haka Dive Center was more than well equipped at making us feel confident in the water again. Before and during the dive, they were generous with serving us fruit, tea and coffee. The dive guides were very friendly and had astute observation under water, managing to show us well-concealed and camouflaged creatures. Because the dive center is away from Alona Beach, the dive groups were small, and things proceeded at a leisurely, relaxed pace. Great center, would highly recommend!

10 stars. Super professional outfit. The best in Bohol. Owner Brylle and his wife run a fantastic organisation and their instructors are all amazing, really great guides in the water. Legit food and drinks provided the bbq on the boat with a cold beer was perfect wrap up to day diving.

I got my open water and advanced certification from Haka. I had never tried diving before, and now I’ll never be the same again. Thanks to the passion, expertise, and fun loving nature of everyone who works there I’m officially addicted to the underwater world. I look forward to diving with all these wonderful people in the future.

Cannot recommend Haka Dive Center enough! We spent 3 days with them and enjoyed all of them to the fullest! My boyfriend has done his OWD Course and I was able to accompany him for all the four dives in the ocean which was a nice experience & the reefs we dove at (around Panglao) were very nice! Damien was our instructor/Divemaster for these dives and we highly recommend him. Very patient, but also passionated about his job and able to spot so many things underwater (even the smallesr Nudi Branches) - really enjoyed diving with him. We were also able to do one of the dives at the Coral Nursery which was amazing to see & I loved to see that Haka cares about their 'homeground' in regrowing corals. We then decided to book three additional dives with Haka at Balicasag Island & were blown away by the wildlife there! The reefs are beautiful & we were able to see so much marine wildlife incl. a swarm of Barracudas & Turtles. We were only 3 guests on board and Haka still brought 2 divemasters - one was with me & with my boyfriend & one was with the other guest - which I was impressed about especially for the price we paid incl. Lunch & Snacks on board. Marti was our divemaster who was great as well & we enjoyed diving with him. Lastly also everyone else at Haka is super kind - also the guys & girls working on the boat & in the dive shop making everything very smooth as possible! There is a good spirit in the team & everyone has a smile on their face 😊. Additionally, it is also worth mentioning that the equipment is very well looked after & still very new. We would come back if we could & also recommend them for any type of diving - a course or fun diving 😊

Wonderful experience and smooth process with Haka Dive from pre-booking chats until the goodbyes. I took the Open Water Diver course with a friend and our instructor Peter (a passionate Kiwi) was very nice and professional in his teachings. The food on the boat is great especially the banana cake.

We stayed in Panglao for several days and while there we wanted to go diving. We did some google maps search already back home and made reservations over email with Haka. They were very responsive over email and also provided us with all info needed. The experience with them was great! The team is very friendly, everything is well organized and runs smoothly. Since we stayed close to Alona beach they also organized us a transfer every morning from our accommodation to their dive shop. We liked it very much that there were a maximum of 4 people per dive master. In our case we were always only 3. The boat is large and comfy, there is always enough fruit, water, coffee and tea available as well as lunch after the second dive. Since we dived with them 3 days they also tried to always go to a place we haven't been as long as the weather and visibility conditions allow it. The dive masters also made sure we saw lots of interesting stuff underwater. They made us fell like a part of their team and we had an amazing time and would go back anytime.

There is a reason this dive centre has a five star review rating. Haka dive centre is probably the best and safest dive centre in Bohol. I have dove with many dive centres throughout the world and this is definitely one of the best run centres. Diver safety is at the core of the experience, but the experience is also fun. They are reasonably priced and offer a professional, person centred dive experience. The dive sites they take you to are amazing. Expect to see a variety of marine life and stunning corals. This dive centre is real value for money and highly recommended. I will definitely dive with them again..

Best dive shop I've experienced so far. From Romy answering all the questions we had before booking, to the high quality of the equipment and instructors/guides, lovely and energetic crew as well as spacious boats (and the snacks/lunch are delicious!!). All safety guidelines are followed, and yet, it feels just like diving with your best friends. Would definitely recommend! Keep up with the great work 💪

I had a great time getting my open water and advanced open water licenses. The everyone at Haka, especially the instructors, are both friendly and knowledgeable. It was really cool to see so many people from different parts of the world working together and having fun, doing something that they all love. I feel very luck to have gotten this experience in a place I felt really comfortable as well as extremely safe when diving.

Amazing dive center with great guides and staff. We did the Balicasag dive trip which you have to reserve ahead of time. Everything was taken care of and the communication process was a breeze. Highly recommended.

Hands down the BEST dive shop we’ve had the pleasure of diving with. The dive team is super knowledgeable and professional, but they aren’t afraid to crack jokes with you and keep things light in the down time. I can’t say enough positive things about my experiences here; having lived in the Philippines for 3 years, THIS is the place I recommend to any divers visiting SE Asia. Initially planned on only doing my open water course but enjoyed it so much that I ended up starting the advanced course immediately after. My instructor Pete was great and all the staff in general are very friendly and kind, there is a great atmosphere both in the shop and on the dives. The dives were so much fun, I felt completely comfortable the entire time. Honestly one of the best experiences of my entire life and I would recommend haka dive centre to everyone especially those looking to begin their open water course. 10/10 I really hope I can come back again 😁😁😁😁

Awesome dives with the Haka Dive center! It's better as not overcrowded compared to other diving clubs on Alona beach. We saw a lot of stuff e.g. many turtles, sea snake, ghost pipefish (!), frog fish, nudibranches, school of jack fish, etc. Everyone is really nice there, the diving gear is good too so don't overthink and go diving with them :-).

Amazing dive center! I spontaneously decided to make my Padi open water in the Philippines and I'm glad to have it done with Haka. I felt so confident during the whole course and we only have been two students with one instructor. They really took care about us and the equipment is totally new. Went for 2 dives with Haka at Doljo Point with my group of 20 friends. Brylle and his team provided AMAZING service - from arranging our large group to taking care of us on board and pointing out many of the interesting marine life underwater! Perhaps my favourite thing about this place is Brylle’s environmental consciousness - encouraging divers to not use sunscreen as it harms corals. Would recommend 10/10

100% Dive with Haka!!! A dive center in Bohol with the best vibes and character located outside the busy touristy area. Friendly and very professional. I also learned about the coral restoration that they are doing and went to join them to participate and contribute. For my advanced open water we did an awesome night dive and a deep dive at the reef wall in Napaling point. They threw in a couple extra fun dives and worked on the coral nursery, super cool!

I’ve been thinking about becoming a certified diver for quite some time but the opportunity never really came up until I visited Panglao. Many people recommended Haka due to their professionalism, friendly staff, fair prices and of course expert training. My friend and I decided to check it out, and they were so easy going with our last minute decision to sign up and assured us that we would be safe. They even gave us a private class with just me, my friend and our instrsuctor, Cuco. Over the course of the 3 day training, we were able to learn so much and because it was such a one on one experience I felt safe and learnt so much and felt very comfortable with the idea of diving in the ocean for my first time. Overall, everything we heard they lived up to those expectations and even exceeded them! I had an amazing experience with Haka, awesome staff, and wouldn’t have it any other way. After we completed our course they even invited and set us up on a whole day trip with 3 dives and lunch included at a few different spots around the island. Thank you so much to all the staff, 100% recommend!

I have been diving for 40 years, but never had such a great experience, right from the time when we stepped into the dive shop until they dropped us at the the hotel after the last dive. Very professional and always with a great smile and an extreme level of service. The best dive school! The equipment is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. Had a bad experience before with another dive school. Our instructor from Haka was very experienced and patient and helped us feel confident under water. After we passed our PADI open water certificate we decided to book another trip with Haka since we had such a great time. They also know the best dive spots like Balicasag. Would definitely recommend going to Haka no matter if you’re experienced or not. We’ll definitely come back one day.

There are many dive shops in Panglao but I’m glad I found Haka Dive Center! Their team is so warm, welcoming and fun to be with. Brylle and Romy took the time to explain to us what we can expect and happily answered all our questions. Their boat is pretty new and spacious! Our package came with lunch and it was awesome. Highly recommend!

The staff is super kind and arranging in Haka Dive Centre. Unfortunately, we didn’t had the chance to dive with them as our flights were cancelled because of the typhon Paeng - but the communication was smooth and easy, and our deposit was kindly returned.

My boyfriend (experienced diver) and I (got my Open water with this center) went to Haka dive center in September 2022 and we had the best experience of our trip. Very professional, environmentally responsible, careful about safety, the Haka team is also so friendly, chill and full of good tips. They have a very special coral nursery program. The diving instructors and guides were really knowledgeable, they know their spots and surroundings and will show you as much as they can. It is worth every single pesos. They are helpful and really want you to enjoy, give you plenty of time and are not trying to rush in anyways. I had the best training I could ever dream of with Manny who was patient and encouraging. The fun dives were just stunning. You can trust the team with everything, from their diving advice to their lunch recommendations. With this center they built up a family; they truly made our stay in panglao/bohol and we’ll never forget it. Thank you again guys, you are awesome! Wish you all the best and see you when we’ll be back!

With Jerome as our divemaster my boyfriend and I had a wonderful day. Balicasag was as beautiful as we had heard and we saw several sea turtles. The crew was friendly and helpful! Really recommend Haka Dive Center if you want some awesome diving around Panglao.

My husband and I just finished a week of diving with Haka and cannot recommend them enough. After diving with Haka on our trip to the Philippines last year we knew we would soon fly half way across the world to spend more time with this wonderful group of people. It was awesome to see how much this little shop is growing yet they manage to keep the friendliness, kindness and charm that made us want to come back. Everyone on the Haka team learns your name and is extremely professional while also being genuine and easy to talk to and have a good laugh with. The owners, Brylle and Romy, show this level of care as well making sure everything goes smoothly and you have everything you need, even if that's a recommendation on where to eat dinner after a long day of diving. This high standard is also kept when it comes to equipment which was all very new and in great condition with no issues throughout our 18 dives. We kept commenting on how the team is such a well oiled machine handling everything all day with such ease and no unnecessary waiting. Diving with this shop is not the only reason we came back though. The local dives and Pamilican and Balicasag Island have some amazing dives. From schools of jacks and barracuda to endless coral reefs the amount of life underwater here is amazing. Not to mention if you're a turtle fan you're bound to get your fair share of viewings. We cannot recommend Haka enough if you want to make your next dive day as smooth and enjoyable as possible!

Just took my Advance open water certification in HAKA. Overall, it was a great and enjoyable experience. Making reservation was easy and the management was very accommodating. I was given then online training materials immediately. So, I had time to properly review prior to the dives. Their equipments are well maintained and feel’s very comfortable to use, especially the BCD, wetsuit and regulator. The divemaster was clear with the instructions and briefing. The boat crew was helpful in getting into and out of the boat and gears. The dives themselves were fun! I learned a lot from the training dives and was able to take unique photos during the exploration! Will definitely comeback when i get the time!
