After my partner proposed to me, I had to learn about engagement rings. I did my research and decided on the cut, color and clarity of the diamond I wanted. I also researched jewelry stores I wanted to check out. The first store (a well-known chain) gave me a standoffish feel. The woman helping us, ordered diamonds for us to look at and told us to come back in a few days. When we left the store, I was not excited about going back. We went to the next store, the one I really wanted to go to – Drue Sanders. Drue Sanders on Western Ave, has been in business a long time. As soon as we walked in, Jada greeted us and directed us to the engagement rings. She was patient and polite, which put me at ease (I was flustered after leaving the last store). Drue (and her dog Shiner 😍) came out to greet us as well. I told her the diamond I wanted, but I wasn’t sure about the carat. She ordered a few diamonds for us to look at. She explained the value of each of the carat diamonds we were presented with and I appreciate her honesty. I am so happy we went to Drue’s. I couldn’t be more delighted with my beautiful ring – I never want to take it off! I’m looking forward to going back for our wedding bands. I will tell everyone in need of a jeweler - go to Drue! Going to Drue for an engagement ring was truly a wonderful experience. I had never done anything like that before and she helped walk me through all the steps. I told her what I liked and what I thought my (now) wife would like, and she helped me to create a one of a kind ring that we still can't stop looking at. If you're thinking any old custom jeweler can do that, you might be right; however, Drue went about and beyond what customer service should be to help us out. I was a day late to pick up my ring, and she cut her Lake George biking trip short to finish the ring, and the next day, July 4th, she met me in her shop so I could "pull the question" later that evening. After the first experience it was a no-brainer on who to go to for wedding bands. I love mine, but that doesn't begin to describe how my new wife feels and looks at hers, it really is perfect. Drue was wonderful to work with! She turned an old engagement ring/band into a fantastic necklace/earring set for me and had great ideas on how to re work the piece. No complaints here about the availability of quality jewelry stores in this region, but Drue Sanders is a step above, as she and her staff are CUSTOM jewelers. While you can purchase name-brand items just like traditional jewelers, Drue provides the insight of a jewelry designer based upon her extensive abilities and experience. My wife and I stopped by to have a couple of her rings with sentimental value resized and repaired. While talking through the needed repairs with Drue, we made an offhand comment that combining the two rings would be ideal, and she advised she could do that. Once we started reviewing options it became obvious that her eye for detail was invaluable, and before long we had a single ring design that included all the sentimental stones in a tasteful (and much more secure!) manner. The cost was very reasonable given Drue's personal design and execution, and the result was LITERALLY a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry art. Priceless.

Drue is a master of her craft and really gave us the personal experience that we were looking for! She helped us every step of the way from the design process to the pickup of the final piece and everything was seamless.
