Our group had a delightful stay with so much delicious food. This is a true family run eco farm with many of the ingredients from the farm used in meals. Elisabeth makes wonderful gluten free bread and other delights. The location is quiet and beautiful with lovely rooms and a new swimming pool. I can't recommend enough.

Exceptional place to stay at an excuisite calm location surrounded by natural beauty. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and decorated with good taste. Really pleasent place to spend time in. Also, the doors outside are full glass so you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views also from inside your room. The noise-proofing is spectacular so the room is very quiet. Also the curtains keep the light out at night well. The needed amenities, like table, chairs, electric kettle, cups, glasses, closet etc. Many electric sockets. Effective a/c. The toilet / bathroom was also very spacious and beautiful. Great shower, many towel options. You can enjoy the outdoors at the patio or swim at the beautiful outside pool. We cannot applaud enough the wonderful service and hospitality by the hosts Elisabeth and her husband. They gave us wonderful advice on nearby activities, hikes etc. They went above and beyond to give us the best stay. The breakfast was delicious, high-quality and fresh with a lot of healthy options. Elisabeth is a talented chef, who makes her own yoghurt fresh every morning. You can also enjoy her talented cooking by joining the family for dinner - she cooks her specialities taking all dietary and other requests in order. The place is just beautiful. A traditional, beautifully renovated farm surrounded by mountains. The nearby small ancient villages (such as Ponte da Barca) are worth visiting. There are good supermarkets close to the accommodation as well as beautiful vineries. The accommodation is close to Peneda-Gerês National Park with wonderful hikes and nature beauty. Elisabeth and her husband are kind, welcoming and warm people. This is also a place for animal lovers - their dog is a rescued one, now with the best home. The kindest, most loving dog you will see. Many thanks for a wonderful stay! Muito obrigada!

This lovely and authentic guest house was such a big wonderful surprise on our first journey in Portugal . Located in a picturesque rural and natural area where they grow many organic agricultural products . Suitable for people who enjoys nature, outdoor activities and tradition , and ofcourse likes to try local traditional cuisine. The rooms were so new and beautifully designed, clean and all equipped with everything you need . I had my best sleep in their bed 😂. This little guest house is run by the most friendly and hospitable family and we had the honor to meet almost all . In the dinner time i was very surprised of the whole concept . Our main chef Elisabeth has prepared for us a whole course meal of organic and homemade food and we all sit in her kitchen which for me was like i am having a dinner with my own family. When in Portugal is a MUST TRY EXPERIENCE Many thanks to Elisabeth and her family.

A wonderful eco farm in a fantastic location neighbouring the Peneda Geres National Park. Elisabete and Pedro are excellent, knowledgeable and welcoming hosts who made our stay truly memorable. Comfortable and quiet rooms, great food (do make sure to have dinner with Elisabete) and a perfect base for exploring the area. Highly recommended. We will return.

Had the most amazing experience. I was traveling solo and was welcomed with open arms, treated like family. The property is as beautiful as the park. This farm is really special, highly recommend staying!

Could not recommend this place enough! Truly loved every minute of my time at Peneda Ecofarm. From the beautiful property and gardens, to the meticulous eco-friendly engineering of the main house and guest houses designed by hosts Elizabete and Pedro, to the delicious homemade food, it’s difficult to choose my single favorite part of my weeklong stay. If I had to though, I’d probably say the hospitality of Elizabete and Pedro, as well as their kids and neighbor Paul who helped build the property. They taught me so much about the region and indigenous animals, plants, fruits and vegetables, daily life, suggesting beautiful scenic hiking or e-biking trails in Peneda Geres National Park that only locals know, and generally making me feel like part of their family. If you’re looking to get an authentic local experience of the area, or curious about how to live off the land, this is the way to do it. Five stars do not feel like enough. Can’t wait to come again!

We visited Peneda eco-farm for a cooking class in the creation of an organic meal. The meal started with apple and farinheira puffs, chourico sausage, alheira sausage (made with chicken), assorted cow and goat milk cheeses and cured olives. We participated in making a corn bread migas with black-eyed peas and Portuguese cabbage. Elisabete explained to us the history of sausage in Portugal and the evolution of eco-farming. This was followed by a vegetable Sopa do Dia, and a marvelous Arroz de Cabidela (chicken rice) and we ended with Leite Creme Queimado, a Portuguese egg custard. It was a fantastic meal with a running description and education in sustainable farming. The Peneda farm is being developed into a sustainable permaculture by Elisabete and Pedro, our hosts and the owners and creators of this fantastic environment. They were excellent hosts, very knowledgeable and passionate about advancing a permaculture lifestyle. We greatly enjoyed spending the afternoon at the farm and I would recommend the experience to anyone!

Everything is fresh and new, all super clean, bedroom is extremely spacious and the whole room has a nice cozy vibe to it! The territory itself is very nice, good sized pool and orher surroundings are very pretty 🥰 The host is the most amazing human being, that was so kind with helping us to explore the nature near us, made an amazing breakfast and just in general was a great person! All in all great experience, definitely coming back since everything was perfect 🤩

We loved our weeklong stay at Peneda Ecofarm! Our room was spacious and clean, and the outdoor sitting area was peaceful with a view of the surrounding countryside. Our favorite part, though, was the hosts. They are so warm and engaging that it felt like being invited into our friends’ home - delicious food prepared with our dietary restrictions in mind, lively conversation, and great hiking trail tips. We were sad to leave!

It was nice cosy north portugal experience. Owner prepared good dinner (extra payment with reasonable price, alot of amount and authentic taste) and recommended us good routes for touring around Peneda park. We had very authentic and well treated and worry-less stay there
