National Patriotic Day'' on 23rd January on account of THE REVOLUTIONARY FREEDOM FIGHTER and THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA "NETAJI SUBHASCHANDRA BOSE JAYANTI" is being celebrated every year at Netaji Statue since past 27 years by Netaji Nagarika Samithi at Kalaburagi.Freedom fighters,Ex-Servicemen,Ex-Police Officers, N.C.C Cadets,Students and Citizens are attending the Function. On 18-09-1994 Captain Mrs.Lakshmi Sahegal,Commander Rani Jhansi Regiment of I.N.A visited Gulbarga,Garlanded to Netaji Statue and addressed public meeting at Netaji Chowk also visited old Netaji Vyayam Shala built by Freedom Fighters during Freedom Movement at Netaji Nagar. "AZAD HIND DIVAS "is being celebrated at Netaji Statue on 21st October the mark of giving justice to Netaji,Azad Hind Fauj(I.N.A)and to all dead heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle and honoured to the Freedom Fighters. On 23-01-2019 "Netaji Award" was given to Sri Bheemanna Khandre Sr.Freedom Fighter,Ex-Minister of Karnataka in view of Silver Jubliee of Netaji Statue at Kalaburgi. Lectures,Debates and essay Competition are being conducted among the Students of Colleges/High Schools and Prizes given to the participants. In Kalaburgi City Netaji Statue symbolizes Swadeshi Constitution of India and shaheedoka inspiration to younger generation.
