Its a wonderful place with a great ambiance for camping, having fun with friends and family. Great memories can only be made here..... With its beautiful falls, the sound of the waters and the experience of crossing the waters makes the place interesting for those that love Trips.

From the sun-kissed rock formations to the frighteningly-soothing song of the cascading waterfalls (yes, they're infact two), Aaru (or is it Aruu) falls is the perfect place to contemplate the wonders of the Lord; His creativity on lavish display within the greens of the algae and the whites of the water, the silky smooth weathered rocks upstream and the textured laminate ones downstream, the boisterous roar of the plummeting water and the gentle chirps of the birds. Aaru (Aruu) falls is not merely to be seen, it is to be experienced. Beware, though: you might find yourself trying to capture its beauty through a lens and forget to experience it with your entire self.

Amazing waterfall which you’ve got to see!! It s located between kitgum and Gulu road. About ten minuets from the tarmac road ( narrow dirt road). You have two hotels which you can pay 20,000 ugx per person for non Ugandan and 10,000 ugx to guide you to the waterfall. Bit rocky downhills and slippery so good shoes are must. Alternatively bear foot! You will get wet so good to have shorts and t shirts to be ready! Good exercise by the way walking up the hills. There are accommodation with the possibility of staying your own tent too!

Uganda is truly a pearl. I thought when I saw Murchison falls I had seen it all but Aruu falls left me speechless. I will continually bless the Lord for such wonders. It stems from the mighty River Nile. This beauty(The Nile) never disappoints. From the Nile to River Aswa, then this magnificent fall. It's on a very high plateau. Much raised than Murchison. The roaring of the mighty waters are life.

One of the remaining places in Uganda where you can view water falls. You hike to a point called the Amin’s eye because he was the first Ugandan president to view the Aruu falls. Aruu is an Acholi word meaning sounds. The view at these falls is spectacular as we visited it recently with Maddie Travels & Logistics company a tour operator in Uganda.

Great place for a nice picture but I went in the dry season so their barely was a waterfall but because their wasn't any water dangerous we could take a swin in the water. The hike too the waterfall isn't long but if you visit in rain season you will maybe experience a bit difficult getting there.

The place was amazing, lots of falls with lots of water and revellers having fun. The strong currents resulting from the heavy rains this year made it impossible to tour all the falls but the first fall that we could see was still breathtaking.

Beautiful natural falls. Definitely worth the hike down from the campsite. Enjoy.

It was a beautiful waterfall. If you want to see the beauty of nature and feel music of the waterfall, visit during rainy season, you will enjoy it.

Amazing water fall. You absolutely have to get into the water to have the full experience! So bring your swimwear. The staff and people are welcoming and engaging. A very clean place. There are no plastics ( bottles or carrier bags) in the environment! There is some building at the campsite but significant. A fabulously wonderful experience! I will be coming back for more! It is a very fair price.

We had a 2km trek and great views at the bottom as well as the top of the water falls. Very amazing sound made by the rushing and falling waters.

It's a good accommodation close to the Aruu falls. Rooms are simple, but clean. Personnel is nice.
