One
of
the
attractions
of
Changdeokgung
Palace
is
its
Back
Garden
or
Secret
Garden,
which
occupies
60%
of
the
palace
grounds.
Many
visitors
come
to
the
palace
specifically
to
see
this
part
of
the
palace.
Unlike
the
visit
to
the
palace,
the
entrance
to
the
garden
is
always
in
a
group
and
with
a
guide
who
will
tell
the
whole
story
in
Korean,
Japanese,
Chinese
or
English.
A
circular
route
takes
visitors
through
the
forest
behind
the
palace
in
which
ponds,
pavilions
and
stone
bridges
have
been
integrated,
all
in
perfect
harmony
with
the
environment,
something
characteristic
of
Korean
landscaping.
It
is
a
quiet
place,
completely
away
from
the
noise
of
Seoul,
one
feels
transported
to
another
era
while
strolling
along
those
places
where
centuries
ago
and
walked
the
royalty
of
the
country.
One
of
the
most
beautiful
places
in
the
garden
and
perhaps
in
the
palace
is
the
Buyongi
pond
next
to
which
rises
a
small
pavilion
used
as
a
library.
