Taste chicken gangjeong and fried shrimp here. And buy coffee bean shape bread.

Hard to find parking around the area, parts of the market sells fresh vegetables, dried fish and side dishes. Part of it sells street food and snacks with super long queue. Many fried food- fried chicken, tempura style fried prawns and squid, paejeon, croquette, etc. Had the ox head soup with rice, clear taste soup with little meat. Good for experience if u have not tasted ox head before haha.

Cool traditional styled Korean market you can visit if you are around the area. Lot of different food and eatery, although they are mostly traditional.

Great. Typical traditional market. A bit smaller than some, but still lots of local food, fruit, fish, and veg. Also close to more modern shopping areas with top brands

Through the vibrant streets of Gangneung's Jungang Market, I was instantly immersed in a world of sights, sounds, and flavors that awakened my senses. This bustling market, located in the heart of the city, offered a captivating glimpse into the local culture and culinary delights of the region. One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to sample a wide variety of delectable treats. From savory hotteok (sweet pancakes) filled with gooey cheese or red bean paste to crispy fried squid and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), my taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavors. The market's diverse food offerings catered to all palates, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The lively atmosphere and authentic charm of Jungang Market were further enhanced by the warm hospitality of the locals. Shop owners and vendors were eager to share stories, recommend their favorite dishes, and provide insights into the cultural significance of the market.

It's a huge local market. Has almost everything. However It may take time to know where is where cause it's too big. Good to have a food tour, there're several high cost value food in this area. Lots of people around mostly tourists.

a combo of wet market, food/product shops and restos! some small table stands for you to enjoy the food right away. tonnes of choices, the upstairs are quieter but still got some restos. you can explore every alley!

A clean, spacious market with plenty of stalls with good food, drinks, fresh produce, and clothes. It may be due to size of the building, but I wish there was more seating or areas for eating. Overall, friendly staff around the market making for a good time.

See quite a big crowd in this market because there are some popular snacks and have managed to eat one of them...

Best place to get affordable snacks and sashimi. No haggling skills required since their prices are set up front. Parking is hell but the parking assistant/attendants does a great job to keep it flowing.

It seems like any other traditional market place. Half-Dried squid was really good.

I visited around 7PM on a Sunday, and it was just adequately crowded. But some stores closed early and dining options were a bit limited due to that, consider when visiting.

Traditional Korean market. Lots of things to see and taste. This area is east coast so try seafood like cuttlefish whether it is rolled like sausage or fresh steamed. Takes about 1~2 hours to enjoy. Of course, price is cheap and affordable.

Few fried chicken and seafood stores. Market is not very big, and the food stores are repetitive. It’s situated a bit far if you staying at the sun cruise hotel. Parking is a problem with one small parking lot next to the market. There is a craft beer and makgoli store, price is expensive and taste the same as the normal makgoli. So no point in trying it out

It's so good place. You can eat many Korean traditional snack and others tasty. But somethings could be bad tasty.... I think it depends on luck... And at the moon street, you can meet good singer song. It's romantic.
