The temple is situated on the very top of the mountain! No private vehicles are allowed. You need to travel by government bus to and fro which is charged rs. 60 ( to and fro) the timings of the visit is between 8.30 am to 4.30pm. You can enjoy the beautiful view being the very dense forest. We have a good parking space to park private vehicles at the starting point which is charged based on the vehicle parked. There are small canteens where you can get decent food at reasonable price. No plastics are allowed inside temple. The officials check the bag at the time of boarding the bus.

A beautiful place situated on top of a mountain. We can reach here by government buses which start from the base of the mountain. The charge is ₹60 to and fro. Private vehicles and plastic items are not allowed on top. There is good parking space near the base. There are also small vendors that sell food items at the starting point. The weather on top of the mountain is amazing. It can get very cold, windy and foggy. Wild animals, especially elephants often visit here in the evenings. The temple and surroundings are well maintained and the route is also very good. A very good place to visit to enjoy nature.

Visiting Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple was an awe-inspiring experience! Perched atop a hill, the temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The serene ambiance and spiritual vibes make the journey worthwhile. The KSRCT bus service to the hilltop adds convenience and adventure to the trip. The temple's architecture and peaceful surroundings make it a must-visit for both spiritual seekers and nature enthusiasts. Don't miss the chance to soak in the beauty and tranquility this place has to offer.

A beautiful temple located on top of the hill. Private vehicles are not allowed on top. There are plenty of government buses at the base and they charge 60 per head. The entire route is very scenic and also the view from top of the hill is very good. It’s better to visit early as there will be lot of crowd. A very good place to visit to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I had the privilege of visiting the Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple recently, and it was a truly awe-inspiring experience. The temple is perched atop a hill, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The weather, with its cool mist and fog, adds a magical touch to the whole experience. One thing to note is that private vehicles are not allowed to the top of the hill, but the government-provided bus ride is a part of the adventure. It ensures the safety and preservation of the natural beauty of the area. However, I would strongly recommend planning your visit on a weekday if possible. The weekends tend to get crowded, leading to long waiting queues and a less serene atmosphere. The tranquility of the place can be somewhat overshadowed by the rush of visitors. In summary, the Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple offers a spectacular view, especially during the misty weather. To fully enjoy the tranquility and avoid crowds, a weekday visit is highly advisable, making it a truly memorable experience.

Must visit place. Very calm, neat and pleasant. Just because they don’t allow private vehicles to the temple. You have to park your vehicle and take bus from checkpoint till the temple. Waiting time for bus would be 1-2 hours depends on how much early you reach. Bus timings starts from 9:30 Am to 5:30 Pm

Beautiful temple of Lord Krishna One can reach the foot hills by either their own vehicle or the government buses. But to reach the temple, one can only travel by the bus. This is because it's a tiger reserve forest. The to and fro tickets will cost 60 per person. Free entry for women (kannadigas) by showing address proof. We spotted a bunch of deer nearby. It was cool, breezy, peaceful area even in the summer. Definitely worth the visit.

One of the most beautiful places. Route in which the bus travels and the location of the temple, everything is superb 👌. Loved the location and the place. Very peaceful, high wind and superb scenery around. We were to wait for bandipur safari and in that time we thought of just seeing this place. Glad that we didn't miss this.

A beautiful temple located in a scenic location on top of the hill. The only way to reach the temple is by government buses (Pvt vehicles are not allowed) which start from the base of the mountain. You have to take a 2 way ticket worth ₹60 for up and down. Peace and happiness are the two words I would use for describing the experience of visiting the temple. Right time to visit is morning or evening to enjoy the weather. The buses from base start from 7:30 AM. The temple and surroundings are well maintained and the route is also very good.

Nice place. It's good to feel cool serene breeze on top of the hill in hot summer, eating the temple food provided by the organizing people there. The bus service was not a good system, as there would be a lot of time wasted waiting for it.

It was such an unforgettable experience. When we visited, we were welcomed with cool wind breeze and light rains as soon as we got off the bus on the hills. The weather was foggy and it felt like we were above the clouds. On the way, you'll also find beautiful farms with sunflowers.

Place is good. Lord Krishna also looking amazing. Elephant had appeared next to temple. I visited in the month of October. The climate was changing for every half an hour like it sunny, rainy and clear. When we go up. Its too good environment and temple is also mesmerizing. Take jackets and head cover, caps because it's like you are in the freezer. Looks like Himalayas. Worth visiting. Better to visit on normal days to avoid heavy queques.

The road to the hills is really scenic. There's this straight stretch where one can click pictures with their vehicle with the hills in the background. One cannot ride their vehicles to the top and will have to take the government buses from the parking lot. There's no entry fees. The bus fare is 60₹ per person for a 2 way journey and will have to be bought at the starting check post.

The ultimate hill temple i have visited till date. Most of the times foggy(even mid day) and scenic forest range. You can see deers roaming near by. They have water dispenser on top of the hill inside temple campus. Down side now is, is very restricted on top of the hill and you cannot roam around except visiting temple. 10 years back, own vehicles were allowed and we could walk in and around temple in the forest trials to enjoy the nature. Now, private vehicles are not allowed. But there govt bus service is not managed properly. Not so convenient. Worst management, we need to wait in queue in hot sun. When the bus(2 buses coming down from top) reaches the entrance below, we have to rush and the tribe is wasted a lot. The driver cum conductor will issue ticket manually, even worse, only one side. Same procedure while returning down the hill.

Best to visit during weekday.. When there's less crowd. Beautiful place, visit in the afternoon and stay till the evening.. You have to stand in line to buy a bus ticket and then a line to board the bus. Trip to the top is 20-30 mins..

Himavad Gopal Swami temple is located at the summit a well maintained temple with a great view on all the direction. That strong cold wind the you experience at the summit is a beautiful experience. Best time to visit this place is around 2pm to 4pm The only way to travel to summit is by government bus (the last Bus to leave the foothill is at 4pm every day) which will be a 15 to 20 min ride in bus. On the way up, if you are lucky you will encounter bear, elephants. Once you reach the summit it's a mesmerizing experience of the weather and the surrounding areas of the temple. A Devine experience in the temple which will fill you with positive vibes. Every day there is a routine visit to this temple by a wild elephant, who visits the temple consume the food offered by the temple folk on every evening by the time the temple closes , i personally enjoyed this part of my trip.

Wonderful place to visit, where you need to reach the destination earlier in the morning but we had reached the place at 10am and waited for more than 1hr to get the ticket for going to the temple which is on top of the mountain. You can't take your vehicle's to top of the mountain, you have parking place to park the vehicle near the entrance and KSRTC Buses are present to travel to the top of mountain. The bus ticket price is Rs.60 per person. *Carrying plastic water bottle to the mountain top is prohibited.

Visited on april 21st 2023. April May is not the best time to visit.. Go early morning. You can take a bus from the base. It costs Rs 30 per head oneway. Jeep also available Bus will consume your time. We waited in the bus for one hour to take. For jeep its Rs800. Max 10 can go. I came here in 2008. Then this place was very beautiful. The cold wind, mist and green meadows warmed my heart that day. I came here again to see the sight again. We were allowed to walk inside that day. There was a herd of deer and a herd of elephants grazing in the meadow that day. But I could not see it yesterday. The grass land was dry.

A beautiful temple of lord Krishna that's in middle of the forest. You feel very pleased to see the god here, very nicely decorated. You need to park the vehicle down the hill and take government bus to the temple, private buses not allowed. Cost for the bus is ₹60 per seat and includes two way fare. The scenery on your journey in bus is mesmerizing as you keep climbing. There is washrooms available on top of the hill and in the car parking area below. Interestingly they charge ₹10 to use the washrooms there. No plastic will be allowed to carry in the bus, leave plastic items including water bottles in your car or you should throw it near the ticket counter.

This is a temple devoted to lord Shri Krishna, having a rich cultural history. Temple is situated at the top of the mountain, always covered with mist. One can feel the positive vibes inside the temple, one of the best temples I have ever visited till date. Completely a divine experience, felt blessed...

The very beautiful temple located at the top of Mountain. The view is scenic, journey is full of views. When you reach top you can feel the cold breeze ! Few things to keep in mind: 1. No plastics are allowed, so any chips or water bottle need to be left or thrown at the entry itself 2. You have to take a bus to reach the top, there's a line to get ticket. Ticket costs Rs. 60 per person (2 way) 3. Free parking space available for both car and bikes 4. Toilets available 5. There was small snack shops at the entry where you park. 6. Keep one non plastic water bottle with you to carry water 7. There is a Dasoha at the temple everyday.

👍👍 Gives you the vibe of the endless straight road in the American Southwest side, if you've seen that picture. Quite scenic and joyful when you take a drive through this road. Feels like you're going straight to the mountains.
