Temple premises is well maintained. Ample space for parking. Even during a normal weekday, there is huge crowd visiting the temple. Nice scenic view enroute to temple. There should be some line separating while you enter inside the temple because all the queue lines get merged when you come at the entrance.

This temple is located at the top of Chamundi Hills in Mysore. Must get there by car, it's impossible to go on foot. The visit is worth it. You can pay to get inside and see the temple from within, but there isn't much to see. Also no pictures allowed inside. When you return to the city, you can stop for a good view of Mysore from the hill.

Must visit the temple if you visit Mysuru. Loved the peace & vibe of the place. There is proper multilevel parking for 2 & 4 wheelers. 3 types of tickets available to enter the temple- 100/-,30/- & Free tickets. Though whatever ticket you'll buy, one should be prepared to be in queue for at least 1-2 hrs. Worth visiting!!

One of the eight sacred hills of South India. The temple is really powerful and divine. Sitting in the premises with eyes closed was a very peaceful experience. The campus has a very good arrangement for parking and toilets and a big market as well. Make sure to cover or hide your offerings as there are lot of monkeys.

Temple is beautiful. Usually there is rush during weekends. You can drive almost up-to the temple. From the parking it is short walk to the temple. There are lot of food vendors to sell snacks and other items. There are monkeys as well. They seem to be friendly. You can take up stairs as well, but usually driving up is better.

Mysore is one of the largest cities in the state of Karnataka and is a major factor that adds to the state’s tourism industry. Mysore, the city of palaces, has a rich history and has several tourist attractions. The chamundi hills in Mysore, is a top tourist magnet that draws in photographers, nature lovers and Hindu devotees, every day of the year. The best time to visit the Chamundi hills is dawn and dusk. In the late hours of the day, during the Dussehra festival, a view of Mysore from the top of Chamundi hills is like a dream that makes you wonder at the immense beauty of the fully lit up city.

Nice place to visit during week days,on weekends it will be crowded. You get a really nice view of Mysuru from the hilltop, especially during night. There are a lot of local vendors in the market on the way to the hills, where you can purchase souvenirs. The pay and use public restrooms were well-maintained.

The temple surrounding was very clean and clear. This place was very bussy. The people's here were bussy with there own works. The felt the devotional feeling in this place. Being a heritage place of mysuru city more number of people's will visit everyday to see chamundeshwari god. To say finally the place was very beautiful in having blossoms of flowers and huge trees we see in the visiting roads of about 7-8 kms 😇.

It is an awesome hill. We planned to visit on weekend and glad to see the road. The construction done for road till almost top hill is marvelous. There were 1008 stairs to reach to temple and now there are a few stairs and there are local vendors shop on both sides of stairs. Parking of bike and cars available with charges. Paid toilets are available. We enjoyed aerial view with telescope to see Mysore city night view. No proper food joints at the top.

Loved the location of this temple. We took special darshan by paying 100 each but there was still a long line so best is to come here early in the morning. They have good parking and also a lot of shopping option on the way to temple.

That was an amazing experience to have a visit to the temple. The way to temple is just adorable. Its the way through the hills that has lot of nature views. It takes time to get entry to temple due to rush at weekends, I prefer to visit it on weekdays.

Chamundi Hills in Mysore is a place of great spiritual and cultural significance, and as I captured this picture at sunset, I could feel the weight of history and tradition all around me. The sky was alive with color and movement, and the sun's rays shone through the clouds like golden threads. Against this stunning backdrop, the Gopura towered over the landscape, its intricate carvings and glowing facade a testament to the skill and artistry of the craftsmen who built it. It was a moment of profound beauty and reverence that will stay with me always.

Awesome hill views. Beautiful temple. Usually rush on weekends. Buy tickets worth 100 each to get a special entry. Otherwise it will take hours of wait time.

Temple is clean and well maintained. A great atmosphere. The temple is located on hill top and the view is amazing.Ample parking facility for both 2 and 4 wheelers. Normal Entry is Free, Special Entry is payable (you'll get direct entry ticket: 100Rs).I will suggest not a stand in line instead of taking special tickets and after you take laddu for every special ticket. Parking: Available (paid) Entry fee: Free (big queue) / Paid (small queue: RS 100) Open: All days

Chamundi Hills provides a picturesque escape with its breathtaking views of Mysore. The panoramic scenery is truly mesmerizing, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The availability of sweet corn vendors adds a delightful touch to the experience, allowing visitors to savor a tasty treat while enjoying the vista. While the view is undoubtedly a highlight, I've rated it four stars as I believe there is room for improvement in terms of maintenance and amenities at certain points along the hill. Nonetheless, the overall experience of relishing sweet corn amidst such natural beauty makes Chamundi Hills a must-visit destination. A solid four stars for the scenic charm and the added enjoyment of delicious sweet corns.

A group of friends trekked the hills. We started around 5.30 in the morning. It was around 1100 steps with breathtaking views. It took around 40 min to reach the temple from the foothills. Misty mornings cool breeze was definitely an amazing experience.

Beautiful place. Serene and spiritual. Do visit if you are in Mysore. A quick walk from the parking will take you through a lot of small stalls to the main entrance. There is a ticket counter at the right side. (Tip: buy 30 rupee ticket) Gives you a quick access into the temple.

I had a truly divine experience visiting the Mysore Chamundeshwari Temple. The stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and rich history of this sacred place left me in awe. The spiritual ambiance and the breathtaking panoramic view of Mysore from the hilltop were unforgettable. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a deep cultural and spiritual connection.

Serene and spiritual place. It's a 7 mins walk after you park your vehicles. Walk through the small shops and you'll arrive at the main entrance of the temple. Tickets counter is at the right side (Tip: buy the 30 rupee ticket for quick entry into the temple)

The temple is very divine and beautiful. The only problem here is whatever things you take or wherever you go, they will ask you for dakshina in the name of god all the time.

Chamundi Hills is a prominent landmark in Mysore, Karnataka, India. Atop this hill stands the Chamundeshwari Temple, dedicated to the goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple is a revered pilgrimage site and a symbol of Mysore's rich cultural heritage. Perched at an elevation of around 3,490 feet (1,060 meters), the temple offers stunning panoramic views of Mysore city and the surrounding landscape. The temple's architecture is a blend of Dravidian and Hoysala styles, featuring intricate carvings and a majestic gopuram (tower). Devotees and tourists visit Chamundi Hills to seek blessings, and the climb to the temple can be done by a series of steps or by road. It's a popular destination during the Navaratri festival when grand celebrations take place. Chamundi Hills and its temple are not only a religious site but also an integral part of Mysore's identity, attracting visitors with its spiritual aura and breathtaking vistas.

The best place in Mysore for a peaceful and enchanting experience is undoubtedly Chamundi Hill. Standing atop this majestic hill, you'll feel an overwhelming sense of tranquility that makes you feel too happy to put into words. From this vantage point, you can view the entire city sprawled out before you, its vibrant beauty contrasting with the serenity of the hill. Chamundi Hill is a must-visit destination for anyone in Mysore, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to those seeking both spiritual solace and breathtaking vistas.

On weekend the place is very much crowded and it will take 1 hour for darshan with special entry darshan.
