Very good early morning drive. Best view of mysore from hill top. Over weekend it will be crowded. Over weekdays it was less crowded and good parking space with parking fee of 50 rupees for 4 wheeler. If you are going to temple, beware of monkeys. They will snatch all the Pooja items n all and will sit on your shoulders. If the line to temple is moving then it's fine they won't do anything. Shops or hotels are limited to eat. Hotels are little unhygienic near temple so better avoid it. Overall good experience.

It's at hill of approximate height 3874 ft The Chamundeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple located on the top of Chamundi Hills about 13 km from the palace city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka in India The place is very clean and tidy The road to the hill top is good without any potholes on it You'll get darshan soon. We had been during hunnime. It was really good There are so many photographers who click your picture for 100 rs and will give print on the spot. This place has various stalls for shopping wooden items, ornaments etc. The feel is awesome when you go to such a height. It's really good place for photography

Chamundi Hill is a prominent landmark and tourist attraction in Mysore, Karnataka, India. This hill is famous for the Chamundeshwari temple, dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga. Chamundeshwari Temple is a major pilgrimage site and a place of religious importance that attracts devotees and visitors from all over the world. It offers panoramic views of Mysuru city and is known for its architectural and religious importance.

Nice one. But it's does not worth if you are planning only for this one. If you are visiting on the way to other places of your trip then it's find. Weekends are crowded. Best time to visit is in the early morning or at the evening when the Mysore city lights up

Mysore city at an bird eye view from this spot. during sunset and sunrise it is the best spot to stop there and watch it peacefully. And also during dasara lights night city view makes the view more beautiful.

Awesome experience. Don't recommend it on weekends due to heavy traffic.

Best time to visit is 1hr after sunset, so you see the city lights from there. The road to the top is slightly elevated, if by 2 wheeler do park it on the side and enjoy the view.

The temple is very clean and well organised, it has a very big parking. There are some small restaurants & juice shop near by, one can reach the hill top through steps or by bike/car/bus. Morning is the best time to visit Temple and night we can see the mysore aerial view that glitters. Need atleast half day to visit Chamundi hills, there are many nice places to visit.

Place is magnificent. Tranquil beauty. You can find solace in the penchant beauty of the area. Entire city is visible from the view point. If you reach there by 7PM, you can easily view the grandeur of Mysore palace when all its light are lit and stupendous light show is visible for around 45 minutes. Only thing is Bus frequency is slightly low at time of evening, so be ready to wait, if you're not carrying your own vehicle. Rest, all is perfect.

Visiting Chamundi Hill in Mysore was an incredibly enriching experience that left me awestruck. The journey up the hill was an adventure in itself, with the winding road offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. As a local guide, I can confidently say that this place is a must-visit for anyone coming to Mysore. The highlight, of course, is the majestic Chamundeshwari Temple. The intricate architecture, vibrant colors, and the sense of spirituality in the air create a truly tranquil atmosphere. Climbing the 1,000 steps to the temple might sound daunting, but the effort is more than worth it. Alternatively, the drive up the hill provides an equally captivating experience. Once at the summit, the bird's-eye view of Mysore is mesmerizing, especially during sunset when the city's lights begin to twinkle. The cool breeze and serene environment make it an ideal spot for introspection and relaxation. I was also impressed by the well-maintained surroundings and the amenities available for visitors. Clean restrooms, seating areas, and information boards added to the overall positive experience. The presence of local vendors selling traditional items and refreshments added a touch of authenticity. Whether you're a spiritual seeker, a nature enthusiast, or someone who simply enjoys scenic beauty, Chamundi Hill caters to all. It's a place that effortlessly combines the cultural heritage of Mysore with its natural splendor. Remember to carry some water and wear comfortable shoes if you decide to climb the steps. In conclusion, my visit to Chamundi Hill was nothing short of magical. The aura of divinity, the breathtaking views, and the well-maintained facilities make it a top recommendation for anyone exploring Mysore. This place truly deserves its spot on the map as a local treasure. (Note: This review is based on my visit up until September 2021. Please verify the current status before planning your visit.)

If not crowded, it is a great place to go. Not many curves on roads so driving will be easy. Roads are good and wide. The view from the top is mesmerizing. But the most enjoyable view is when the lights of mysore palace turns on after sunset at the time of dussera. I went two times back to back, once at the dusk and once at morning.

Very good spit for view of mysore. Binoculars view point is closed now which restricts some great views. Still best views.

If you are anywhere in Mysore, Chamundi Hills’s a must visit. The view is mesmerizing, it’s chilly on the top in monsoons, even some-part of it is foggy too. Roads are very good. You can see amazing sunrises and sunsets from the hills, also you can see the night view of Mysore from the top. With the lights lit the city looks beautiful.
