Good Folklore Museum. Many interesting practices and fascinating exhibition to it. Some of these are common to them in other countries and farming areas. At least everybody feels a little home in this museum.

This is a very interesting place to visit, but they are ready to move everything în a new building which is going to be opened next year.

I really would've liked to have the chance to visit all the beautifull things inside. Unfortunatelly, although the visit was during mentioned work hours (visit was on Saturday, 14:20) nobody answered the door bell. Just sad..

A nice place to visit. It's near the big Cathedral from Gura Humorului. The entrance fee is 5 lei and is open from 08.30 to 16.30. You'll dive in the authentic life of Bucovinean people. The guide will explain each tool from a traditional household. Also you'll see some mask used for New Eve.

This museum combines the old traditional settings, house wares, farm equipment, blacksmith tools, clothing and many other items with a very knowledgeable accounting of the folk lore from that period. The narrator was excellent in her narration of the good spirits, bad spirits, believing in Jesus, marriage, crops and many other facts from this period of history in Romania. We spent two hours there and it was well worth it.

The Folk Traditions Museum of Bucovina is a great introduction into the context of the region. You will soon understand that this is a cradle of living and ancestral traditions, legends, myths, superstitions that fascinate anyone at once. On St. Andrew's night the young women gather in the house of an old woman and watch the glittering surface of the water in the well bucket. Among the sparkles of light coming from a candle they will spot the face of their future husbands. The museum is one of the most vibrant I have experienced. If you are in the area it's a MUST!
