This is one if the best open cafe to be considered in Gurgaon. Ideal place to spend time under the shades of tree with good quality of food, though less variety. Far better than overcrowded cafes in gurgaon with loud music all the time. It's just you need to wait fir sometime before getting a table here.

We went to the roots cafe for the 1st time. It is by cafe lota. They serve healthier food like ragi idlis and paranthas, oats Upma etc. we ordered for masala chach which was good. We ordered for ginger tea which was overdone but later changed it and it was good. We had ragi idli platter with 10 mini idlis, gun powder, sambhar, chutneys. That was tasty. Sambhar is less quantity, a bowl which doesn’t suffice. We had ragi stuffed parantha with dahi, butter, pickles. It was nice though less stuffing. The mint chutney is too good. Alfredo pasta with 2 garlic pieces was good too. Oreo banana shake was nice too . Overall good food They don’t give extra sambhar. It’s chargeable. Once they gave on request. Then refused. Icecream is not good. Popsicles basically are not good It’s somewhat expensive considering the serving size. Like one ragi stuffed parantha costs Rs 240/- Cafe ambience is nice. You will enjoy if weather is nice but it was quite humid the time we went. Both outside seating is hot and inside it’s hot and humid. Cooler makes it more humid. But it’s a nice place for family meal. Service is a bit slow. Chandra Kumar Arya, the Cashier served us well. Was all smiling and helped too. Gave us good personalised service Toilets are not clean. Shank broken. No tissues Park is nice .. you can walk. There are swings but mostly broken

This place is hidden gem in gurgaon. Located at leisure valley gurgaon sector 29. During winter you can enjoy sunny day with tasty organic food here. It totally different experience to fulfill your appetite in nature ambience. We ordered sarson ka saag, makke ki roti, sabudana fingers. Both are mouth-watering taste . It most busiest during 12pm to 4pm. Couples may try to get experience it's ambience at 6pm to 9:30pm. During that time it less crowded. Here 2 type seating arrangement available one in shedded area & one under the tree. Its a best place for get-together, celebrate your birthday party.

It's always a delight to go to Roots Cafe. Usually, I prefer going for breakfast or brunch as the ambience is quite peaceful. A place ideal for family time, hanging out with friends, date night or even spending some me-time. The food is delicious and of high-quality. Their Sabudana fingers, watermelon juice, Egg bhurji toast, and kadhi chawal are must-try!

It is refreshing place to visit. It is located inside a park. Ambience (4.5) It is simple resturnace with not so fancy ambience. However, they have cozy inside sitting area as well as outside natural park theme based chairs. We went in the searching heat of summer still, it was worth a visit. Food (4.5) They have delicious food. We have variety of food there. Everything was tasty. First of all drinks are awesome there. We had aam panna (5) which is best aam panna we ever had as it feel so refresh and real aam panna taste. We also had banana oreo shake (4) it is also good with quite a food taste of right amount of banana and oreo with so sweet and cold coffee (3.5) which also taste like good coffee. In the food we had the best mushroom bread (4.5). It is the tasty dish there. We had omelette burger (3) which is also okay. We had vermicelli (3) which is also okay. We had something different gatte ki biryani (3) which have unique taste which is also good byte.

Nice cafe located inside leisure valley. The food is good and very healthy. Evening being the best time to visit the place. I feel list of items should be increased in menu. Do try their wai wai bhel. Service is also good.

A small cute cafe, located at the leisure valley park, its nice for a quick snack after an evening stroll at the park. Reasonably priced , it is an eggitarian cafe. Food is good enough. It was previously a pet friendly cafe but is not anymore. So if you want to take your fur babies there you cannot. Enjoy your evening there

Loved the place...so cool and relaxing, get a feel of living an artist life ..simple, yet soothing... A complete contrast to other fancy ambience culture. Coming to food... Only veg (and egg), limited menu..and very good taste. Don't forget trying mushroom toast.

The place looks really good from outside. This is an open restaurant so no AC seating anywhere which kinds of makes it difficult to sit in summers. They also have outdoor seating options where even 8-10 people can accommodate. It’s more of a breakfast kind of place. The problem with this place is it’s always crowded and you will always have to wait a good 15-30 mins before you can get a table. On top of that, they don’t have as many servers to attend you. So, it becomes crazy if you want to place an order. On top of that, their menu is kind of limited and don’t have many options to choose from. The food is just fine and not something extraordinary, so not worth the price they charge which is actually high. It seems like the chef kind of experimented with the dishes. I won’t really recommend this place that much. But you can just visit for an experience.

Root cafe is among the best breakfast place. I have visited it so many times now. It is has an open sitting. Best to visit with friends. If you want to really enjoy it visit in the morning especially between November and February when the mornings are cool. Best Dishes : CTC sandwich, Spicy creamy mushroom toast, Vegetable and cheese grilled sandwich Downside : The menu is small. There aren't a lot of options.

I visited this place for lunch along with 12persons, find very good ambience, lot of open area . It is having fixed tables in open area . Presentation of items were very good. Most of the items were not very spicy. It's veg thali was excellent in terms of taste and portion of the items served, less spicy.

Nice place since it’s inside the leisure valley park, one can park in the park parking which is huge.I find food is good here and place is well managed . You may need to wait if you go on weekend morning. Price is little higher than places like Bikanerwala. Overall good to sit in natural surroundings.

Average food but awesome open air place to have food - specially breakfast and lunch in the winters. And, you can eat at your leisurely pace.

My favorite place to sit and chill in Gurgaon. The chai and snacks are lip smacking good. Lots of herbal tea options. My fav snacks here are Palak patta chat and sabudana.

Awesome place in Sec 29 Rajiv Gandhi renewable park. Truly close to nature for outdoor dining. Tasty food 😋 and decent pricing. Inside parking is small but can park outside as well. Best part is no loud music the only thing you hear is birds chirping 😊 Love the place !!

On a chilly Gurgaon's winter morning, you will probably like to visit this pretty cafe. Sitting in the lap of Leisure Valley Park, this cafe is surrounded by all trees and greeneries. I found the menu to be very limited (Poha, Upma, sandwiches, and poori etc.) and food to be terrible. I wouldn't recommend visiting this cafe, instead you can bring you own meal and enjoy the breakfast/brunch in the park itself which will have same ambiance as the cafe but quality food.

My forever favourite place to go to for home style, well made food. I had beetroot cutlets and masala chai. I thoroughly enjoyed the preparation and the portion size. It was perfect for a single person. I always come back satiated in more ways than one when I visit Roots cafe.

  • 4/5 Avviee A. 1 year ago on Google
Loved the food. Nice outside area. We tried their omelettes, sandwiches, burger, tea and cold coffee. Everything was great. Loved the outside seating area but giving one less star... Should be 2 less but okay... Because of so many flies disturbing whole you're eating, there are so many of them that it's unbearable... They should do something about that. Flies are really taking the standard down.

Simple a treat for nature lover. Menu could have more herbs, price also could be bit lower but it is targeting upper end market than is perfect... simple a great gateaway... And of course the best way of taking orders ever, with a pencil and a mini note pad for the customer so that there is simply no confusion at all...

We were casually exploring cafes on the internet and picked "Roots cafe" due to its ambience & scenic views. It is located inside a beautiful park, with colorful bougainvillea all around. As we visited there on a Sunday morning, there was a huge waiting line. We waited for close to 30 mins. However, the chill environment elevated the entire experience. We ordered - a coffee, hot chocolate & a cheese Sandwich. Honestly, the food was average for the price we paid. I'd recommend this place if you wish to just relax, and have a nice conversation with your friends or partner away from the hum-drum.

Nice cosy place, friendly staff, limited food options but preparation of the dishes is wonderful. Overall a satisfying experience. They only serve Veg food although eggs are on the menu.

I recently discovered Roots cafe and I am so glad to see such a humble place in Gurgaon. I was really impressed with their service, the quality of the food, the richness of flavours and the friendly staff. We tried the recommended dishes, wanted to try other stuff also. Might go again to have a nice down time with friends and family.

A place that is in the midst of greenery, food that is finger licking good. Our first time was 2 years ago, it was drizzling, absolutely great weather; God was part of our experience. Since then we have been there for breakfast and lunch many times and they have proved that consistency in food and service is top notch. You can do chai pe charcha for many hours and would not feel bored. Thanks guys for everything you do for your patrons.

From hustling bustling Gurgaon life...this cafe is a peace to me. I have been here multiple times. It's in the park with amazing atmosphere. I love their Chai. And all the other snacks are also very good and healthy. They close at 8pm.

This is my second visit to Roots cafe ☕️ and this place never fails to impress. The open seating area and amazing snacks. Had Mix Veg bhajjis today which did not felt oily and were super yummy The famous masala chai was top notch, had 3 cups of same Only down side was they have increased prices on menu which were not at all justified They charged ₹70+ for one small cup of masala chai, I mean are you serious. Earlier it costed around ₹45 with taxes. In fact their online menu still has old rates In case the mgt really want to increase prices, then they should consider it on main course and meal items. At least items like chai should be reasonably, I hope my next visit is worthwhile.

Average rated restaurant with good food almost like home-made, so good for people who sometime do'nt want to cook their breakfast or lunch at home. Nice for outing as it has open green grounds and some entertainment for small children.

Some things that we ordered were fine, I didn't like the mushroom gravy on toast, it was like sabji, palak patta chaat tasted good, ambience is fine it was better earlier. The staff is not very helpful, I had to ask a couple of times for anything. I think it's slightly overpriced as well.

  • 5/5 Kiran G. 3 years ago on Google
Best breakfast One of the best restaurants to provide indian breakfast, placed inside a big park. Most of its food is cooked using solar energy from a nearby solar plant. Food is awesome, ambiance is very nature friendly.

  • 5/5 Pragya S. 3 years ago on Google
Perfect if you are sick of monotonous outings that are all about drinks, dancing and dull conversations. It is refreshing to just sit here among the trees and have a long, slow lunch or maybe just have some good old fashioned tea. It's like being in a mountain Cafe, like a micro break from the fast pace of life as we know it in Gurgaon. They don't take bookings. Wait time is avg. 40 minutes but once you are in, it is well worth the wait. And yes, they are pet friendly.

One of the best in Gurgaon. A cafe in the park. Superb vibe. Good food. Fast order delivery. Things to note: you might have to wait for your seats if you’re going on weekends. You can chill out by that time in the park. Dishes we liked: Sabudana Fingers, Railway Masala Sandwich, Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie.

  • 1/5 Vikss B. 3 years ago on Google

MUST VISIT - Different places from others in Delhi. Seems like you have reached a restaurant in Alwar. They serve so many different varieties which we usually don't get anywhere. Try their Kathal Biryani, if you are a fan of Veg Biryani too. Peaceful place to visit at least once :)
