This is a personal collection of rare folk art and craft and is 20 times better than a museum since it is the effort of a single person, the great phiilosopher and thinker Mr. KC Aryan. Thanks to his family members who supported a passionate lover and collector of traditional Indian art that is fast vanishing. The place is relatively small but the collection is huge and more importantly, the items on display are rare, collected by no one else. Salute also to the Aryan family who are upholding the Indian folk art at personal expense. The people I met at the museum were courteous and gentle and decent people. Visit is by prior appointment. Overall, very enriching and satisfying experience. I appeal to the government and all wealthy people to support this cause in their own way. ♿️ This place has Yes=Ramp access. No=A wheelchair-accessible entrance. No=A wheelchair-accessible restroom. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible seating. Yes=A wheelchair-accessible parking.

True to its name , it was a wonderfully enriching experience to behold the elements of ' the neglected arts'. We were completely mesmerised and humbled by the intelligence and humility of the collector/artist Mr.K.C. Aryan ( as guided by his son Mr.B.C. Aryan). Heartiest thanks to him for protecting rarest of rare gems of our culture.

This hub of art and artefacts mostly belong to Himachal Pradesh, Bastar, Madhya Pradesh, Parts of South India is a genius attempt and hardwork by late Mr. K.C Aryan who was a painter, sculptor and art historian. The museum is now being maintained by his children B.N Aryan and Subhasini Aryan, who are both great historians & connoisseurs of folk as well as indigenous art forms.

Founded by K.C. Aryan, a renowned art historian in the country, the Museum of Folk and Tribal Arts houses a noteworthy collection related to Indian folk and tribal art and culture. From paintings, metal crafts, and textiles to terracotta and wood crafts, the place features an exciting range of exhibits.

I called to find out if they have a website I can visit. The woman who spoke to me was so rude! Doesn't seem like a welcoming space. Academic spaces are so inaccessible unfortunately. It seems it's only for the elite.

Reached there by Gmaps, to only find that they're closed . I understand it's a private museum, however, timings could be updated on Gmaps.

I went there with my school mates on behalf of my school. It's a typical Bunglow until you enter inside to find out that a whole different world is waiting for people unexplored by masses. The place is maintained and owned by Aryan family. The collection is entirely of Mr. K.C. Aryan, one of the most prominent historians of India. There are various idols, sculptures, paintings, artefacts, stones, ancient items, etc. Director of the place, Mr. B.N Aryan is a very intelligent and knowledgeable person he along with his sister Ms. Subhashini Aryan (Sorry If I'm wrong) guides people who comes to visit this museum. They personally met me and guided me around showing every artefact and telling about it in details I almost felt as if I'm actually witnessing the history connected to those things. I hope this place prevails in the future and all this cultural inheritance of India which is often neglected would remain safe and open for scholars, researchers and students. I recommend you to make a prior appointment before coming to avoid unnecessary hustle. Would love to visit again. Thank you for such an amazing tour of history.

There are treasures hidden in and around the places we live. One fine day, if we are lucky we find these treasures. I am not a 'closed places' person rather someone who is always seeking the sky and grass and trees and birds and so on. However I appreciate the journey of tradition & art and preserving the footprints of great times gone by. Today I visited @museumoffolkandtribalart.in and was amazed at the rare, unique and precious personal collection of folk and tribal artifacts of the great Mr. K.C.Aryan. His son Mr B.N. Aryan is equally devoted to collecting and preserving the same. I urge every art lover in NCR to visit this place. Note: As this is a private collection and displayed at Mr. Aryan's home, please take prior appointment before visiting. Museum is open for public only on Sundays.

I request Anyone who lives in Delhi NCR or is visiting must see this culturally rich place. It's an irony that something like this exists amidst the crowd of Gurgaon and is almost unknown to it's inhabitants.

This place is not great. I spent 1 hour trying to find this place. And the owner didn't even bother to visit us outside. The local people fo not even know that the place exists, so I got no help from them. There was a guard who told us to wait for 5 minutes for the owner, but they never appeared. If a human puts in time and effort to find this place they should atleast respect it and see us. We waited outside for 30 minutes. I was with an elderly person, for thwm to stand and wait for 30 minutes in the scorching heat of gurgaon summers is hard. Another important thing is that they have not put their timings properly on google. They also expect you to make appointments to visit, it is only open for all on sundays. The fact that they ask you to make appointments is not mentioned on google. Thats rude of you all. the photos of this place also seem fake. They dont have a field or anything. It is an brick bungalow. This was a waste of time and money. I hope you see this review before trying to visit this place.
