No lake as such ground is fitted with Football post and cricket pitch (hope u can imagine level of drought here), so don't expect lake. Located in the interiors of some village.Not safe to travel after Sun is down. Lake was dried up. Place was not maintained. No place to park safely. Avoid going there .

Badkal lake is not a lake in summers at least. We visited this place in May. Highway construction was going on and there was on lake as far as eyes can see. When you will reach near the lake, you will find a sign board telling you to take a turn to the resort with swimming pool. Please take that turn, because the straight road leads to a dead end with no great view. The resort, I am guessing, has made some sort of path to walk along side the former lake. Also visit during monsoon, so that you can at least see some water.

Nature is great and supreme. But unfortunately, this lake is not all natural, a lot has human hands to thank, for the present condition it’s in. Ironically, it’s mankind that is to blame for the pathetic condition of this large lake. When we reached there, we were dismayed to find not a single drop of water. It was completely dry. But the beauty of the place is still intact. Sadly, humans have tried, probably successfully, to commercialise this place. There are pathways and places for one to rest. Furthermore, we also found couples, who were more interested in themselves rather than the beauty of the place. So, if it’s rustic beauty that you are looking for, you must visit this lake.

Beautiful place to enjoy, camel and horse riding/walking. Enjoyable picnic shout spot. Large scale of walking, seating, playing and more. Restaurant is also in the centre.

You are not safe there, no security, no police, no network. There is no network to call if the person is in trouble.

All is good but in the night it's not safe . Off road way is there but instead of this minor problem . Sight seeing is superb ☺️, enjoying lot guys.👍

Badkhal lake is situated near Gurgaon it is approximately 10 kilometre from bhondsi jail. Due to mining work there is no more water in this lake. Boating is there only in rainy season. There is water park situated near this. There is also Haryana government rest house.

This is a natural occuring lake on the outskirts of Faridabad. It has dried up since time immemorial and though at one time it might have been a good place to visit, but during the month of December, it tends to be a tad useless to visit....I personally did not witness any water though I did not dig around to look for it!

Badkhal Lake was a natural lake situated in Badkhal village near Faridabad, built in 1947 in the Indian state of Haryana, about 32 kilometers from Delhi. Fringed by the hills of the Aravalli Range this was a man-made embankment. Owing to unchecked mining in neighbouring areas, the lake has now totally dried up. There are functional Haryana Tourism restaurants in the vicinity. A flower show is held every spring here. Its name is most probably derived from the Persian word bedakhal, which means free from interference. Close to Badkhal Lake, is the Peacock Lake, which is another picturesque spot. It is an important biodiversity area within the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor stretching from Sariska Tiger Reserve to Delhi. Historical place around sanctuary are the 10th century ancient Surajkund reservoir (15 km north) and Anangpur Dam (16 km north), Damdama Lake, Tughlaqabad Fort and Adilabad ruins (both in Delhi), Chhatarpur Temple (in Delhi).[1] There are several dozen lakes formed in the abandoned open pit mines in and around the sanctuary. It is contiguous to the seasonal waterfalls in Pali-Dhuaj-Kot villages of Faridabad[2], the scared Mangar Bani and the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.

Badkal lake is huge area surrounded by forest and nature landscape. Sadly lake is dying but still it's famous picnic spot for people. Haryana Tourism could make better out of it but none is interested into increase state income and invest money into this gem of nature. Luckily I visited this place when lake was alive and many people like me would love to see it alive again. Still it's a good place for nature lovers and off-road.
