😠 Too slow and long waiting times for simple blood work lap test. 2 hours waiting. Checked in 8:15AM and called 10:10am to collect sample. Way too long.. need to improve here. People often mention desk, care, doctor, staff, front, wait, people,

Not sure about all the negs but for any kind of appt I've ever had at this location, have never ever had anything resembling an unpleasant experience. The doctors, nurses & staff here are first rate and I've never gotten the vibe that they're just trying to get me in & out ASAP. They definitely show that they actually care about their patients. Been using NSU for quite a few years now and to this day absolutely no complaints and I highly recommend them.

Could not have asked for a better place to take care of my son! From the front desk woman,NorthShore Immediate Care Center to the provider, Sam. They were absolutely amazing. So good to my little one year old who was less than thrilled to be there. Quick, gentle and made him laugh! Sam was amazing and made me feel so much better walking out of there! 10/10 would go again if need be!

Like others experiences, wait time for simple lab work is way too long. The first come first serve model for the labs doesn't work well here. They need to let people make appointments.

I have been using this facility for my annual physical checkup and I am very pleased about the efficiency of this facility. Today, October 6, 2022 8:30am, I stopped by the x-ray dept. at Gurnee office to request my X-Ray disc for another doctor to look at it. I did not make an appointment for this sudden and urgent request. The receptionist (sorry I forgot your name, the receptionist who is a white lady) confirmed my ID and gave the disc in less than 10 minutes!! I needed the disc in about 1 hour for another doctor to see. This receptionist made my day! Thank you!!!

The front desk lady checked us in fast, she was ok, but not friendly. She did turned down a mother with a child about 6pm when it says they close at 8pm. The nurse super friendly and kind, same with Dr Amanda. They took their time to explain and give options. I would recommend!

Never go there. I had to get a prescription transferred to a different pharmacy and called call center twice because the first hour after calling them the doctor didn’t call me back. After calling them twice still no call back from the doctor. Went in person to speak to the secretary to have it switched and she said she’ll do it and told me to go to the pharmacy and it’ll be ready for me. Went to the pharmacy and they haven’t received anything! The pharmacist called north shore and it went to the calling agency and left a message for the doctor for the third time. I’ve been in the run around for 5 hours! If you have to get prescriptions and are hurting, don’t even bother going here!

This facility is advertised as an “immediate care” center. I understand there may be a modest wait as a walk-in patient, but check-in staff asked if I can come back in 4 hours for their next available open slot. The hospital ER probably has lower wait times.

Although I've had to visit this location multiple times and is often busy for a walk in, there are a couple of people I would like to acknowledge. At the front desk, Ms Peggy is always welcoming, today she wore a beautiful pink breast cancer Awareness 🎀 sweater, she has been such a delight whenever I check in. Ken, with the great hair the lab tech, finds my vein with ease and in the process we share funny stories laugh and Im out in 5 or less (,not to be confused with the store) These employees know how to make someones day with their 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 customer service. I hope tthey get the recognition they deserve. Skills like that come natural, but they can be examples for other staff.Thank you 😊 ~Enjoli

CT scan costs $5000. Insurance paid half. Still crazy expensive compared to places that charge only 10% that amount. I feel that northshore completely took advantage of me and my insurance. I am never coming here again!!!!

Place runs smoothly, it is clean and nice. Prices are great only with NO insurance and they upcharge if you have insurance. So why bother, just tell them you don't have insurance and get the price that makes sense or you will be taken advantage of. Very disappointed this place has such poor ethical standards when it charges some sick people more just because it can. I've switched my doctor already as a result and will avoid this place like the plague in the future. I used to like it here, but don't like being treated like a coin purse they can shake for all it has. Kenosha radiology CT scan with contrast is 600 vs this place at around 5000. Ridiculous upcharge. Nearly tenfold.

The NorthShore Immediate Care - Gurnee staff made a recent illness visit very comforting. The entire staff, including the registrar, nurse, doctor, and radiology technician we all extremely kind, caring, comforting, empathetic, and efficient. Thank you!

Front desk woman was extremely rude. We walked in to ask a question. They had a sign on the door reading “urgent care is closed, laboratory services open.” We wanted to wait and see if that meant we could get what we needed. Instead of offering assistance or further explanation, the front desk woman yells at us from across the room that they’re closed and that there’s a sign on the door. Then, after we stick around just to see if we can ask a question, she calls building security, very dramatically I might add, and asks if they can send someone in to “watch the door because people can’t read the sign.” I don’t care how urgent your medical needs are, avoid this place. What a nasty, awful woman. The exact OPPOSITE of what a health care place should have as the person greeting people who may need medical assistance.

This location has the absolute worst customer service I’ve EVER experienced from the front desk/intake desk. At this point I’d rather travel to Skokie, IL which is an hour away than to go to the Gurnee, IL location. The front desk staff needs some sensitivity training ASAP!

Took two hours to tell us - “we don’t treat it here you should go to ER”. Why did the receptionist or the nurse didn’t tell us that? My wife was in pain and all they did is WASTE time. I ended up asking “why do you even have this place open then if you don’t treat to help with the pain?” Very disgusting!!!

Called at 6pm and was told that I could walk in. I live about 30 minutes away. Arrived there a little before 7pm and was told they were closed. Their doctors were full. However, the parking lot was empty and not only did I call to verify that they would be open til 745pm the woman had the audacity to say they could not help me! Horrible experience. If your website says 745pm then it should be changed to the appropriate hour or have a disclaimer. If you are thinking of going to this immediate care I suggest you look at another location.

Don’t believe the posted hours. Came at 715 on a Monday for lab work and lab was closed. I understand that there might be a reason but the receptionist sure wasn’t going to give me one! Her reply was “well, it sometimes happens”. Seems like the least she could os give me an explanation. She said I should come when they open at 730am and there’s a long line of people waiting. That sounds like fun. Can’t wait.

😠 Took my wife here who wasn't feeling well. They put her in a room and left her there without checking on her. Then expected her to answer the phone when they called. They never told her she had to pick up a phone call when the phone rang. I asked to stay in the room to check on her and they didn't l...

😠 In what universe does it make ANY sense, to have pre-op- and likely mostly healthy- patients sit in a teeny tiny waiting room, surrounded by truly sick individuals and snotty kids, (who’s likely only form of healthcare is this place) for over an hour , to get a 10 second COVID test??!!? BTW, the si...
