    *Edit -Since my review received no response from the business, I contacted customer service online via a submitted form. Stil have NO RESPONSE. All the more reason to avoid this business. My exam with Dr. Kovacs was wonderful. My glasses experience...not so much. I asked for frames priced within my insurance allowance. They are not arranged by price and since at the time of my visit, they were sanitizing every frame I touched, I was hesitant to try on several pairs. The technician suggested a pair and they were priced right until she was writing it all up and said they were tagged incorrectly. She said they would discount the price difference and I ended up paying $15 over my frame allowance. I didn't think I should have had to pay for their error (which I told her), but to move along and be done, I agreed. I wear progressive lens and the glasses were ready fairly quickly. The prescription was not right. I have to wear the glasses down my nose or put my chin to to my chest to see properly. They are adjusted (by the lab guy because the manager could not understand why I could only see with the glasses down my nose) and seem slightly better. I am advised "I have to get used to them", "I have to move my head". This is not my first pair of progressive lenses but I agree to wear them and see how it goes. I do bring them back for a remake and I am told "after this we will not remake them again". I say "then I guess they need to be correct don't they? Otherwise I'll need a refund". I am told they will not issue a refund. They are essentially the same after being remade. I am advised to come back on a day the lab guy is there to have the newest remake version adjusted since he did it last time. I never went back....I am done. The technician and manager seemed annoyed to have to deal with me so I had no desire to go back and experience that again. My insurance allowance for the year is spent and the glasses are worthless to me. I try wearing them occasionally but only become annoyed and decided to finally write my review. I have had better luck ordering cheaper glasses online.

    RayBan frames are wayyy overpriced. They were very nasty when I asked for my prescription to get glasses from somewhere else. I would definitely not recommend unless you want to over pay for glasses.

    Received wrong contact prescription, insisted at appointment I should give it a try even though I said it was mostly clear. Things are still blurry and itā€™s been difficult to get a new prescription.

The lady helping me immediately suggested the $80 sale they had going on Why not mention this over the phone or why even accept kids with state insurance if u donā€™t carry frames for them needless to say I paid the $44 for the exam picked what frames we could & left. I left feeling annoyed & not satisfied so I wonā€™t be returning. FYI clarify paperwork because if I had known I was having to pay out of pocket for anything we wouldā€™ve left. UPDATE: Donā€™t deal with the front desk rep Marry she straight up lied to me when I asked why I wasnā€™t told that I could go to another location to get frames then she lied to the insurance company telling them that I was informed about a service my child received that wasnā€™t covered under my insurance which was a flat out lie Iā€™m not sure whatā€™s up with this lady but I Iā€™m not happy

    We loved our visit w MyEyeDr. So friendly and personable: they worked w my mask anxiety and high prescription so well. Their choices in frames was wonderful as well. This has been my best eye appointment in a very long time. We are so glad we switched to MyEyeDr!

    I was recommended here by a friend. After going to Accuvision for two years I definitely did not want to go back to them!! So my friend told me about MyeyeDr. and my daughter and I were beyond impressed by the service we were provided! The girls in the front desk were very kind and welcoming. The eye doctor Melanie Kovacs took her time with my daughter and I. She was very helpful and very kind! Our glasses arrived within two weeks after our eye visit and they were quick to let me know the glasses were in. I will be continuing coming here for our yearly eye check ups! This place is amazing the staff were wonderful!! highly recommend this place!!

    Fast, friendly and professional! With a wide variety of styles and brands to choose from. Thanks to the helpful advise from Vanessa, one of the well educated and experienced staff of many there. I walked out of there confident and well informed of eye wear suitable for my style and prescription. Will be coming back for more styles and future check ups. Highly recommend

    Highly recommend MyEyeDr. Especially the Gurnee location on Tri State. We followed the manager, Mary, here from another eye doctor. Double win for us!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and large variety of glasses to choose from!!

    Dr. Melanie Kovacs was amazing she helped me out with getting my vision to the right prescription! She made sure she knew my history and explained everything I really needed! I also was helped by Julissa who helped me pick out my eyewear and was super helpful and kind. I really enjoyed coming here and didnā€™t feel like just another patient. The hours are great and I like how they had the option to book your appointment! I was also helped right away with a greeting and didnā€™t have to wait long to get serviced!

    I love this place. Dr. Kovac was very thorough and friendly and answered all my questions as it had been a few years since my last exam. Vanessa was very helpful in helping me pick out new frames that were both flattering and a good match for my prescription.

    I called to let the office know I was running about 10 minutes behind and then another 10 minutes, trying to be courteous. When I called the second time, I was told to reschedule. Which I understand, but all too often, I am the one waiting....but it's okay for them to be running late. I thought they would be a bit more understanding, but I guess their time is more valuable then mine. Also, be prepared to receive an ABNOXIOUS amount of calls and text messages. One time a representative called me at 9PM! I have little kids with an 8PM bedtime! They also do not allow making more than one appointment at a time, so if you have more than one kid, they believe that you have all this time to keep driving to their offices for appointments. I should also mention that I was a customer for years, before it became a franchise.

    All the staff here are wonderful! From checking in to ordering glasses my whole family loved our experience. Every person that works here is friendly and inviting. I highly recommend!
