My son recently started attending the Goddard school and he loves it. The is facility is top notch, the staff is amazing. I feel very comfortable bringing him here. My wife and I toured all of the day care options in our area and not one of them instilled the same level of confidence as the Goddard School did. They have a very safe and secure drop off and pick up procedure. We receive daily pictures via email or the Tadpoles app, as well as a detailed activity report. The level of communication is beyond expectation and I truly feel that they provide the best possible environment for our son. He is not quite 2 and he is learning so much , from social skills to daily structured activities and just being able to play with other kids. I recommend taking a tour of the facility and speaking with the staff, I truly can not say enough good things about the Goddard School.

Our two children have been with this Goddard School for almost 4 years. The teachers and staff have become an extension of our family. Many of the other parents have become close friends. Our children are extremely happy to go to school each day, and are happy when we pick them up, although they often would rather stay at school than come home... Equally as important, they are learning both the academic and social skills they will need when they start school Happy, healthy, and leaning lots. Not much more you can ask for your children. We're sad to be leaving as we move across the country, and will miss everyone.

Our 2 children have been in the Goddard School Third Lake since they were 3 months old. Next month, our oldest will be graduating kindergarten! Just like all parents, we all want the best for our children. We have been greatly blessed to have experienced this here at The Goddard School. The teachers and staff are experts in advance childcare and we have seen our kids grow in their academic and social experiences. The addition of the Outdoor Learning Center and Nature Walk is another exemplary effort of this institution to continue to raise the level of childcare in our society. Keep up the great job!! Thank you.

My boys went there from 2 years old through kindergarten and we loved the caring, educational environment. The curriculum gave them the proper socialization and educational foundation to be highly successful in primary and secondary school. My boys are now in middle school and both are in the top 5% for Math and L.A. I highly recommend The Goddard School in Third Lake!

We have been at Goddard for 6+ years... from the Infant Room thru Kindergarten. Our experience has been wonderful and while they have prepared our daughter so well for the future, we are sad to leave Goddard. The school grounds... classrooms and playgrounds are equipped for learning thru play. Many options of toys and books to choose from. The teachers are amazing... the ratio of teachers to students allows more one on one time which helps your children grow. The teachers create an amazing curriculum for the kids and from an early age... at 4 months old she was painting!! We highly recommend Goddard to care and teach your children... they are family!!

5 stars PLUS! Both my girls go to Goddard in Third Lake. We have been with Goddard since 2009 and have been so incredibly impressed with the quality of care our girls receive. The safety, cleanliness, professtional manner of the staff and office has been superb! I cannot tell you how relieving it is to be a a high stress job knowing your children are safe being nurtured and truly loved by the Goddard staff. I would tell anyone to go to Goddard. Last fall explored alternate private kindergartens at daycare facilities and was NOT impressed. Goddard is worth every bit of investment for the highest quality care in Lake County.

My kids have been attending The Goddard School for over 2 years now - we have been part of the transitioning process through four classrooms (starting at 2 and now 5) and each time, we have been happy with the process. The administrators have selected appropriate times to transition our kids (I have heard from friends at other 'schools' this is not always the case), taking into account more than just their age. I have appreciated this type of personalized handling - I feel the administration is very open to having dialogue with parents and the more proactive parents can be, the better the communication will be and your concerns will be more top of mind. It's always difficult to choose a daycare/school and feel 100% satisfied every day with the care your child is getting. It's a safe and fun environment and overall, the curriculum and process flow in transitioning kids and having a plan for each quarter is outstanding. This part is very well managed I think in some other institutions, is overlooked and that's how kids get 'lost'. The teachers in each classroom have been assigned by the directors very well to each age group based on the teachers' own skill sets and experiences. Every kid is not going to 'bond' with every teacher, but I have enjoyed having my kids exposed to different approaches and styles of redirecting, instructing, communicating, etc. I feel The Goddard School has given myself and my husband tools and information on our kids' days for us to communicate with them about how their activities are going, their enjoyment levels, their interaction with their teachers/friends, etc. This is where the rubber meets the road! Their improved system of electronic daily sheets along with pictures have assisted us in communicating with our kids about their day. I feel more in tune with their enjoyment and learning levels than ever before, knowing it's up to me to spot any changes in their behavior about school (both good and bad) and bring those to the teachers' attention so we can accelerate the good and stop the concerning :) Small improvements like this have helped us as parents communicate with the teachers so all the small details in our kids' days make for an enjoyable experience. I hope this review helps parents focus on their role in the system and the perspective of what's important when choosing a school for their kids to grow in!

My daughter attends the Goddard School in Third Lake, and I cannot say enough about her experience this year and the wonderful, kind hearted staff we have had the pleasure to work with. As a new mom, I was very nervous leaving my 5 month daughter in anyone's care. The office staff, owner, and especially the teachers have made us feel so good about our decision to choose Goddard and have ALL made an effort to get to know my child and our family. My daughter has been truly loved and cared for, and lights up each day when we get to school. She happily greets her teachers and is excited to be at school--something that is invaluable to see as a parent. She has blossomed so much this year, meeting developmental milestones early, and learning more things than I wouldn't have thought possible at her age. The infant room has provided engaging activities each day, targeting all important developmental areas, and I'm always impressed with the new language my daughter is acquiring, the many signs she understands and uses, her social interactions, her love for books, and her motor skills. The teachers know all of the children so well as individuals and really work hard to meet the needs of all children and families. They really do love, enjoy, and care for each child, and in my opinion make Goddard the best place to send your child.

The Goddard School in Third Lake provides an environment that is miles above the competition in Lake County. We have been part of the school since 2010, and I currently have three children attending Goddard, ranging from the infant room to a recent Kindergarten graduate. The level of care that they receive is unparalleled. The curriculum at each level is comprehensive, advanced, and holistic. They truly treat each child as an individual. The owners are progressive, to the point where they've implemented a new outdoor learning center, which includes nature trails! My children absolutely love school. We receive picture updates throughout the day, as well as a summary email covering in extensive detail the activities and milestones reached that day. The teachers and staff are like an extended family to us. I implicitly trust Goddard Third Lake as a whole and have seen my children make INCREDIBLE strides in their learning and personal development. My son emerged from Kindergarten with a second grade reading level, a limitless knowledge of and love for biology, and advanced math skills. He also has a passion for athletics and chess! He is so well-rounded and respectful, and I owe much of it to Goddard. It's also worth noting that, especially in this day and age, Goddard handles interpersonal skills in an exemplary way. The children are taught that they are ALL friends, and tolerance and kindness are instilled in these kids from day one. My children have rarely had any issues at school, but when the few and far between have occurred, the staff have been transparent, honest, and extremely swift to remedy any situation. I wish I could send my children here forever!

We've been blessed with having Goddard Third Lake as a partner for our childcare needs. Their awards and reputation are not just wall decorations, they LIVE their mission and values through the program and teachers. The new outdoor learning center is another aspect of this school that furthers my confidence that Goddard Third Lake is the best choice for my family.
