I discovered this place in the Summer of 2020 and loved the food with the added bonus of the lovely couple that owed this place. Often times eating the whole entree in one sitting. I had it today and it is under new management. I got my usual and it was the most flavorless food I’ve tasted! Everything was bland and unseasoned. I’m sad because this was actually one of the few places in Gurnee that I actually frequented. If anyone knows if the prior owners opened up shop somewhere else, please let us know!

Used to be amazing but after new ownership the food has gone downhill fast. The shawarma is nothing like it used to be. Instead of super flavorful paper thin slices you now get very mediocre oversized chunks of tasteless meat. The falafel is overcooked and burned almost every time and the rice is soggy and has no flavor.

I'll be very Honest I was a loyal customer for about 3 years but recently November 10 2022 I decided to revisit and I did notice a bunch of changes they're not the originals anymore new owner let me just say everything tastes completely different rice is to oily and flavorless. Sides are all different in taste even the sauces nothing is the same yes they give u bigger portions specially the meat BUT it is not the same at all if you loved coming here because of the original mr pita this is not it anymore , I am very upset use to be full of flavor now it all lacks !!! Wish the original couple came back!!! You will be truly missed:( !!!

A hidden gem that is amazing. Delicious food that is prepared fresh and fast. Great and friendly customer service. No fountain drinks are available. Bathrooms are for paying customers only. Limited parking because of neighboring businesses.

This place is close to where I work . There is an Indian place where I use to go but somehow I missed this Mediterranean place . My coworkers thought of going to this place today and after seeing the reviews on Google i was surprised how people were so positive about this place .i wanted to try myself . The reviews were indeed right . The place is very clean and I must say the lady behind the counter was extremely warm and humble . The food also was quite tasty. There was not a lot of wait time . Food was fresh .

Wow wow and wowww !! Palestinian food in Gurnee ! Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. The spicy salad was so good, I have never tasted anything like this before. Chicken and rice were hot and fresh. I'm so happy I found this place and will be a regular customer. A must visit ! Great service from the owner as well. THANK YOU ♡

Updated review 4/6/22: So much yumminess in this plate!! I got the shawarma Chicken entree. 1/2 dozen Falafel and two pitas. Enough portions for leftovers! Food is So delicious and staff is very friendly!

The food is so good. The owners who work there are so great. They will walk you through the toppings. My family came up from Gulf coast and they loved it as well. We ate the Shawarma beef pita and the chicken sharwarma pita. This is definitely a must try, if you like Middle Eastern food or never tried it. Great Experience for my family. I will definitely go back.

The shwarma pita was delicious. I had different flavors throughout, some spicy and others not. Very good!! The fries were okay, the falafel was good but needs something to dip. I will definitely be back!!

The food is quite good, especially for the price. It's nice to see all the bright and fresh salads at the front of the display. I'd suggest labeling them so we know what they're called. The restaurant is a little dated and sad looking, but otherwise fine.

Hidden gem in Gurnee. Visited for the first time and everything was soo flavorful and fresh. Tried the kifta kabab wrap, beef shawarma wrap with a side of hummus and falafel and everything was top tier. Definitely will be back!

I love Mediterranean food. Their Jerusalem Salad is extremely fresh and superb! I got the Chicken Shawarma bowl. Absolutely delicious and the Staff was EXTREMELY FRIENDLY.

Absolutely amazing food, the best Middle Eastern food we've ever had. I can't wait to go back. The service was top notch, and I can't stop thinking about the food. I had falafel it was perfectly crispy yet moist on the inside- I've only ever had dry falafel in comparison. The salads (you get to choose from any/all of them) I got with my meal were equally as fabulous. A new favorite of ours!!!

Quaint little hole-in-the-wall type restaurant. This was my first experience eating Mediterranean food. It was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Mr. Pita combo. Lots of delicious food for a great price and still had a box to take away with us. They even gave us some falafel to sample. Super flavorful and amazing.

I love Mediterranean food but it didn't care for the chicken shawarma Pita. There was very little chicken and it was very soggy. I couldn't even pick it up and eat it. I didn't care for the flavor or texture. I also ordered falafels and they were average. I found the menu to be pricey but that's become common. I will not be returning. Next time I want Mediterranean food, I will go to Papa Marcos.

A favorite spot! I drive 15 min out of my way to go here when I crave it. The lunch special is an amazing value for DELICIOUS food. I get multiple meals out of one order. Owner is friendly and generous. Sometimes I’ve gotten a falafel taster in line! Clean and tidy. Highly recommend.
