Every step of the way Sarah and the team were on it—listening to what I wanted and why. I didn’t want anything that anyone else had and I wanted it to be excellent quality to maybe even be worn by a great great great grandchild down the road. Earlier this summer my now fiance and I started shopping for an engagement ring. We went to a few other shops before he stopped in to Stanley Brown on his own. We later went to look at the stones Shauna had ordered in store for us. I was looking for an emerald cut diamond ring! It was such a positive experience and Shauna worked with our budget. Additionally, she reminded us what I privilege it is to be in the position to be buying a ring, versus guilting us for not buying more than our budget allowed or pushing us towards a larger diamond. My fiance proposed to me shortly after and even though I had seen the stone before, I was blown away with the setting and sparkle. So simple, but so beautiful. Stanley Brown was the last jewelry store we visited when searching for an engagement ring because it was the closest to home, but I wish we had just made it the first and only. We had an entire day of jewelry stores trying to push diamonds on us when I explicitly wanted a gemstone ring, until finally we met Shauna at Stanley Brown who brought out plenty of settings and loose gems in a variety of colors and kinds to help us find a ring that I actually wanted versus what everyone else was trying to sell me. She was friendly, helpful, and conscious of our interests! I tried on an aquamarine ring in a unique setting while in the store and that's the one my now-husband ended up selecting! It's perfect for me and I am so glad we had a good experience getting it instead of being made to feel bad because it's not a diamond. When it was time to buy wedding bands there was no question for us that we'd be going to Stanley Brown and indeed my husband got the exact low-profile simple band that he wanted from them. Stanley Brown Jewelist service is unparalleled to any other in the area. They did and incredible job with both my wife’s engagement ring and our wedding bands. During my engagement ring session, Shauna, shared her vast knowledge about different diamonds, cuts and ring settings. She was patient as I asked many questions and looked through different combinations and designs. She did not force any specific product as other jewelry stores might do and she allowed me to make my decision in my own time, comfortability and within my budget. When my wife and I were ready to shop for wedding bands there was only one place we were going to go, Stanley Brown Jewelist. Based on the excellent experience when shopping for an engagement ring we knew that they would treat us with the ut most respect and would be extremely helpful when picking out the right bands. My wife’s wedding band was a custom designed and set, rose gold diamond ring. This ring was a Jewelist Exclusive, hand carved and crafted by their goldsmith. When this ring is paired with the engagement ring, it is like they were meant to be put together. When it came to my wedding band there where so many options and different metals to take into consideration. However, Sara was very helpful in narrowing down the different options and ultimately helping me land on a titanium wedding band with beveled edges. My fiancé and I wanted to custom design an engagement ring using some diamonds passed on to us by a family member. After some online research and checking out a few jewelers in person, we ended up at Stanley Brown and I am so happy we did! The process was easy and everyone we worked with was so nice and knowledgeable. We ended up under budget and I am in love with my ring!

Can’t recommend this jeweler enough. To be honest, this is my favorite jewelry store of all time and I will use them for as long as I’m in Chicago. They carry unique products, have an appreciation for antiques/antique jewelry (which shows in the store as well), and they’ve been in operation since 1912. If I’m not wrong, the floors of the store are original. This is something I value and admire in a business that’s pushing past 100 years, especially in an age where everything is torn down and remodeled. I constantly go to them for repairs and they do a marvelous job and are always honest.

Not be punny, but this place is a true gem. I popped in on a whim to double check my ring size and I was greeted by Jim who was so lovely, kind, and patient. Everything was so beautiful, I even ended up buying a wedding band! They generously offered to resize it for me at no additional cost. I had a lot of fun trying on bands and chatting with Jim and some other employees—the vibes were just right. You can tell that the folks who work here sincerely care about their craft and customers. Will definitely come here first for all future jewelry needs!

An excellent small business with a knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere! Often, jewelry stores can seem stuffy. This place is not that, at all. They also have a rotating selection of vintage watches, too.

My husband and I were looking for plain, vintage wedding bands for our wedding last year. We went into Stanley’s twice to look at their selection and each time we had multiple friendly people helping us figure out what we wanted. We found our wedding bands there at a very affordable cost compared to other jewelers. I don’t wear jewelry (except for my wedding band) but if I start, I know I will come back to them. I was looking for a birthday gift for my wife who has just started gaining interest in gold jewelry. I came across 2 associates (Jim, and his trainee) who gave me excellent service. Although I am a gold jewelry novice, they didn't treat me like one, and the confidence they built within the experience made me feel at ease when increasing my spending limit slightly to get something truly special for her birthday. The trainee even tried on the earrings I purchased so I could see them on a live model. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to pick up a nice piece of jewelry to consider this local shop. My wife said she's not taking the earrings off all month long! Great experience.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is the only jeweler I will ever use!! Everyone here is so kind and they were quick to fix up my necklace. They even stayed a few minutes past close when I got caught in traffic on my way to pick up my order (not that I recommend asking them to do that). By far the best customer service I’ve ever had! Cannot recommend them enough! Not worth spending your money anywhere else.
