Went for my bday and enjoyed it. I got special treatment in the form of a card, table confetti, and free dessert. The waiter was witty and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere felt fancy but my mother noticed some dusty areas. I wouldn't have noticed if she didn't tell me, but they were there. The cocktails and the food was delicious. Even the butter for the bread was good. I will definitely go back and I recommend it to others. It's pricey, but I feel like we got our money's worth.

The chicken was delicious. It takes a lot to impress me with good chicken. The service was friendly but almost felt rushed. The desert choices were AMAZING everything tasted really good (we had samples of each). Definitely worth trying at least once! *This meal was paid fore for me.

Excellent service. Excellent price quality but bare in mind that the prices are relatively high. I definitely recommend the cheese cake, the lamb chops with mint, the bone in rib-eye and the seared tenderloin. The environment is informal but there is a dress code. Keep it elegant. Dark space decoration , with table cloths. Good quality wine glasses. The meat is extremely tender and well prepared so highly recommended.

Ordered lobster Mac, not worth the price..all the noodles at the top were HARD. Sliced fillet mignon was BOMB and the chicken breast was good! Drinks were cool..a bit over priced for them to have so much bottom shelf liquor. Great atmosphere besides the loud older guy at the bar. All in all Capitol Grille is okay in my book!

Our experience was great. Andrew (our waiter) was outstanding. Our food tasted really good and they really catered to us. Our first time there and will definitely go back.

Went there for my birthday, atmosphere and service was really good. Food was alright, the appetizers (prosciutto mozzarella and calamari) were great but the ribeye that I had I didn't care for all that much, a little too fatty and I didn't like the topping (to be fair I don't think it was bad just not something I personally would like.) But it was cooked well. The birthday touches they added were nice.

Went to dinner this past Friday and we had Elizabeth who is one of the most amazing servers! The drinks, food and atmosphere were incredible. We went for our anniversary and Elizabeth made sure we had a wonderful evening. If you’re looking for an awesome steak place and overall amazing experience the capital grille is the place! Was here for a birthday party. Overall experience was great! Friendly staff, food which was flavorful, drinks were made well. Service was good. Only feedback was the bisque was too thick to my liking and to add texture to it otherwise no other bad bites on the plate. Mike our sever was great!

The atmosphere was pretty good, and the food too, but the place is over price. For two people I paid slightly over $200 for an average steak dinner. I could have went to outback, or long horn for the same quality of food.

Bold statement but easy one of the best meals I and my family have ever had. Great selection of entre options, steak, seafood, beef, pork, lamb. Appetizer game is strong with this one. They have table size sides that everyone shares, that was cool. Valet parking available. This was the most expensive meal I have ever paid for but worth every bite!!

AMAZING! My boyfriend and I had Valentine's Day/Anniversary dinner here and they made it very special. Our table was ready for us when we arrived, they wrote us an anniversary card, and delivered dessert. The food was great and we will definitely be back!

We made our reservations online a few days ago. The Host staff was friendly, welcoming and prompt. Our server, Sean (or Shawn... My apologies on the spelling if incorrect) was also very friendly, welcoming and prompt. He made several recommendations and was very attentive. Thank you for your excellent service. The Capital Grille Signature Pineapple Martini, Red Moscato Wine (I really loved this) and Cosmo Drink (my sister's favorite) were spot on. The Lobster Crab Cake for our appetizer was absolutely delicious. It was the best we've ever had and we've tried 100's through the years. The cold corn salad served along with it and the excellent tarter sauce took it to the next level too. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of that. The Caesar Salad, Filet Mignons, South African Lobster Tail, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and the Glazed Brussel Sprouts were each truly some of the best dishes we've ever had any where. Mouth watering, succulent, seasoned perfectly and delicious. We couldn't get enough & we'll definitely be back. Thank you to the chef's and staff. The dessert's were amazing too. We had the coconut cream torte and the cheesecake. We're looking forward to eating our leftovers tomorrow.❤️❤️❤️

Amazing dinner! We started out with In Fashions, enjoyed the Burrata appetizer, then had our taste buds dazzled by Kona Crusted, dry aged, NY Strip and Miso glazed Sea Bass. The sides were awesome. We went with the au gratin potatoes and creamed corn. We finished with the flourless chocolate cake with berries in cream. I never thought I would say this, but it was better than Flemings.

Great service and amazing food. Came for a nice dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday, he loved his steak so much. He said it was so tender and it melted in his mouth. The mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious! I got the onion soup, and it was great. I also had 2 drinks, the espresso martini and the black salt margarita. Overall we had a great experience and will be making it a birthday tradition to come here. ❤️

I rated this restaurant five stars for the food. The food was amazing. The steak and seafood we ordered were of the highest quality. The portions were appropriate and the cost was in line with the quality of food. The service was good but not great. We were offered a free dessert because we were celebrating a birthday which we thought was thoughtful. Also, we were delightfully surprised to find our table decorated for our special occasion.

Entrusted them with Easter Dinner. They did not disappoint. Included with my order was a hand written card wishing me a happy easter and thanking me for the support. Classy move.

We went for a meal after attending the King Tut exhibit at the Baird Center across the street. It was lunchtime but there were many open tables in the restaurant so we did not have to wait. Our server, Austin, was wonderful. He explained the menu, answered our questions and made helpful suggestions. He was so personable and friendly. Austin immediately brought us a basket of bread. The rolls were hot and fresh. We could have eaten all of them but we are cutting back on carbs. My husband ordered the New England Clam Chowder for his starter followed by prime rib sliders with truffle parmesan fries. I tasted the chowder and it rivaled any that I have had in Boston. It did not have a lot of fillers and thickeners - just good flavorful chowder. He said the meat on his slider was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. I tried a few of his fries and they were delicious - light and crispy. I ordered the Maine Lobster Salad and was pleasantly surprised at the huge chunks of succulent lobster atop avocado and lettuce in a citrus vinaigrette. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Went first my anniversary. They treat us like royalty and even have the table decorated for the occasion with a breeding card included. They made my day very especial. Thank you Capital Grille!!!

If you want a steak that will knock your socks off, this place can provide. Came here after a graduation ceremony, and was surprised by a complimentary dessert congratulating me! Great staff, very high end establishment. Enjoyed being able to see into the kitchen.

Melt in your mouth steaks and seafood. All sides are shareable which allow you to enjoy the meal together. They also have a great wine list to choose from. Lastly, the service was outstanding - ask for Mark, he was knowledgeable and friendly.

I really enjoy The Capital Grille. Service is top notch, nice atmosphere. I had the salmon and friend had the filet. While I like salmon, I really enjoyed the way they prepared it with a little crust on the top. Very flavorful. My friend raved about the filet. Cheesecake for dessert was delicious. Will go back.

Waitress we had was great, appetizers and drinks were delicious. Main Coruses were not that good. Lacked flavor,seasoning in both the steak and fish. Husband liked the char on the steak but needs more flavor.

What an amazing experience! My wife and i don't go out much for fine dining but given our anniversary we decided to splurge. She looked amazing and we were shocked at the quality of food and portion sizes, but the service was incredible as well! Our waitress was Elizabeth and she really helped us in the more high class dining! Having fun and joking while keeping a high level of professionalism! Surprisingly the service at the bar was kind of quiet 🤐, Not a lot of interaction with the bartender, which made us a little uncomfortable. Onion soup was ok, although the crust was burned to the point that tasted too strong of a burnt 🔥 The Old Fashioned 🥃 was more like a fruit punch with whiskey. I Didn’t like it at all. What was really amazing and congrats to the chef who prepared the juicy steak 🥩 that was so flavorful, and so tender! 🤤 it literally melted in our mouths; even the mushrooms were kind of sweet and salty. Just Loved it… That made our whole experience better👏 I hope to come back again and have a better experience at the bar.

Went for our anniversary at lunch time and had great service from Mike. The staff acknowledged our note from the Open Table reservation that it was out anniversary and we received a card and free dessert, which was much appreciated. The cocktails were great and the mashed potatoes were super creamy while still having some larger pieces within for a great overall texture. The filet was more medium rare than medium and could’ve used a little more seasoning, but had a great crust to it. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely come back.

Top tier dinner all around. Great food, and amazing service. I had the Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip and my wife had the Sea bass. We shared the Crab Cocktail appetizer before that and we both loved the cocktails. The BlackBerry Sidecar was perfect. Lastly, they brought us this amazing dessert with the words written in chocolate. Can't say enough good things.

Went there for my wife's birthday and it was a great time. They added a little birthday confetti to the table and a hand written card. Free dessert. The lobster bisque is a definite try. Steaks were wonderfully cooked. Would definitely go again.

One of the only really good places in Wisconsin. Alas, they're a chain, but man. Good food in Wisconsin is TOUGH! Not to mention not completely offensive service. Again. Coming from Chicago, people in Wisconsin are blown away by flemings and this Place. CG is much higher end and actually has quality product to match their prices. As far as I'm concerned, every other place can close down.

I really enjoy this place. From the valet, to the greet, to the service, to the food. They do a good job. I hade made prior reservations online and noted it was for our anniversary. We arrived to a table that was decorated with confetti and a flower. The server was great and made our reservation that much more memorable. I’ve also come back on business dinners and the service has always been great. The food is also delicious, which is why I’m sure you’re reading this. Go there and you won’t be disappointed.

We popped in for dessert on a busy Saturday night and were greeted by Brian and Sam, who found us a table on short notice. Mark was our server and he was phenomenal! He took the time to walk us through the dessert menu and recommended a wine that paired perfectly. We will definitely be back for a full meal in the near future. Oh, by the way the Coconut Cream Pie was over the top!

The capital grille is always the most warm welcoming environment. We go every year for our work Christmas lunch and my husband and I celebrate our anniversary here every year. Their fillet mignon is always phenomenal! This time I switched it up with the salmon and boy was it worth it!! Everything is great. From the time they greet you at the door, down to the moment you leave. Thank you so much to the Capital Grille family for always treating us with such courtesy! Thanks again for the yummiest cheesecake for our anniversary dessert, you didn’t have to comp it but it was much appreciated!! Until next time! ?

Both bartenders were great. Our server Tony was attentive but not hovering. We had the Lobster Bisque and Caramelized French Onion soups, both were amazing. For dinner we had the Bone-in Ribeye, Dry Aged NY Strip au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream, Sauteed Spinach, and Soy Glazed Brussel Sprouts with Bacon which were all fantastic. We were surprised by the lack of dress code, we saw jeans, basketball shorts, and t-shirts which seemed odd for a fine dining establishment.

I love the food at Capital Grille and the Milwaukee location did not disappoint. My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and we were greeted with a nicely hand-written card. Of course we started with a Stoli Doli because it is such a smooth martini. For on appetizer we went with the calamari which was fried perfectly and of course has the great spicy peppers to add some heat. My wife had a filet oscar style that was cooked perfectly medium. I had the Kona crusted NY strip which is my go to at Capital Grille. If you’ve never had coffee crusted steak then you must here. Mine was cooked just right medium rare as I’d expect. The Brussels sprouts were great too with the richest balsamic glaze I’ve had. For dessert we were treated to the cheesecake and espresso flourless cake. We enjoyed both greatly. It is pricey but it really is a treat for amazing service and food that you know will be cooked perfectly. You will want to go back after remembering all the savory flavors.

Wow! Is it expensive? Yes! Is it worth it? Absolutely! Capital grille was recommended to us by our nearby hotel. So glad we followed their advice! The atmosphere is very swanky. If there is a dress code it is not enforced (that may be due to Covid?). We went in jeans and t shirts and were treated very well. Nick was our waiter and he was phenomenal. The food, OMG, the food!! I had the Kona crusted strip with shallot butter and the boyfriend had a peppercorn crusted NY strip. This is by far the best steak I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked, well flavored, and tender as could be. Sides do not come with the entrees, however, the entrees are HUGE. One side easily feeds two people. We added one order of the garlic truffle fries, the two of us are less than half of them. Nick surprised us with a small dessert that sent us over the top,it was so delicious. When we come back to Milwaukee we will make it a point to come back here.

Me and my boyfriend had been here twice. The first time was on Valentines day and the second time was my graduation. For Valentines day we were in a secluded area in the back and it was so romantic how they had the table set up. Then the second time He made us reservations on my graduation day. They had the table set up so beautifully. The food is always great here and it will always be.

Most modern steakhouses lost the classic steakhouse experience. Capital Grille really throws you back to a time when people really dressed up to go out to dinner instead of putting on business casual and meeting up with a few friends for a quick meal. I love the classy jazz music, the dark wood, and the dimly lit ambiance.

Wife and I came up from Chicago to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary because we wanted to dine inside, our city just opened inside dining yesterday, plus it was a chance for a weekend getaway. They treated us like royalty, we'll absolutely dine at this establishment again, we'll try the one in Chicago next time !!
