Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Good prices with great service and friendly staff. Wish they had turkey tho

Placed an order over the phone, it was great, however upon arriving to pay for my order I reminded the girl to not put BBQ sauce on the meat I’ll rather it on the side. She yelled out very rudely and aggressively while rolling her eyes “WE NEVER PUT THE SAUCE ON THE MEAT” okay whatever I let that go. After I swiped my card she then tossed my bag to me and I explained to her how rude that was and I requested to speak with the manager. She yelled “She’s not here” So then I walked out to calm done came back into the place and was greeted by another employee she was super nice and as I asked about the manager the angry lady proceeded to yell “She’s not here can you leave” I replied that I wasn’t talking to her and after she kept yelling I got loud right back with her & left. It’s so sad that I had to go through this let alone argue with her. I have no clue why she was so mad or upset. It was the short heavyset white lady with the glasses. On top of that my food was burnt. I would never eat from them again as long as she’s there. I had them a few months ago and the food was good. She needs to be trained on customer service skills.

Ordered 3 dinners by phone. Got there and had to wait and wait. They never started on them. One dinner had ribs, all bone and hardly any meat, it was too hard and burned. No ice and we had hot pops. We used to love this place. It's changed. The girl had a nasty attitude and we didn’t dare mention the ice machine being out. Silly I know but I'm not dealing with attitude. We will not be back.

Went to the Kalamazoo location and I had a large group of out of town family visiting and moving my cousin in to WMU. Sarah took such good care of us!! She came from behind the counter and helped us with menu selections for our group as this was our first time coming. Sarah made some out of town visitors feel at home!! I will be back! Oh and the food was great!! Thank you Sarah!!!

Please don't waste your time or money coming here. No smoke flavor, no flavor. We broke our rule if you dont smell smoke don't bother. We saw this wS a new place hubby and I were wanting something good. This place give BBQ a bad name, especially if they are saying Southern BBQ. Beans are definitely from a can, portions size of meat is measured in the guys hand (very small), we ordered the pulled pork sandwich (anniversary meal for 2) coleslaw was definitely spoiled, my husband ordered the 3 meats and 2 sides, th e macaroni and cheese was terrible then they had the nerve to put "brisket bland on top. We were there 10 mins, the food was horrible didn't finish it waste of money. There really is not clear direction on how to order food we stood there waiting for guybto take our order he walked off a few times we tell him what we want he grunts and nods to order sides to next person. I would never go back here again.

If you need another BBQ spot to check out, I recommend Dickey's Barbeque Pit. The food & service are always great. My favorite dish is the ribs, fries, & smoked wings.

Prices online are more expensive than in store. Associate was very rude when I asked about this picking up my order. Didn't offer to fix it or apologize, that's just the way it was.

PIGGY GOT ME!!!! The BBQ was very yummy. Very fun place to go and eat. Only thing I did not care for where the sides. Will go again and just eat MEAT! Yummy place

They usually just employ 2 staff max. One in the kitchen, one for food prep/checkout. Not unusual to see 15 people in line with 30 minute line wait. Doesn’t matter if it’s lunch or dinner time or day of week. I’ve had to stop trying them because it’s impossible to get food and if you have a chance to order… they’re usually out of food like baked potatoes or brisket anyway. Probably lacking the staff to even cook food.

My best friend and I got delivery. I scheduled it to be delivered at 6:30, it did not come until after 7. The food was freezing cold, the ribs were so dry and tough it was hard to get them off the bone. The brisket was fatty and hadn't been cooked long enough to soften the fat, the chopped brisket was literally chopped up fat with no meat. The Mac and cheese was flavorless and grainy. Texas toast and corn muffins were both disappointing, the corn muffins had a sweet chemically taste on the top and then were just bland and tasteless inside. The only thing that was edible was the pulled pork, and that was dry as well. The sauces that came with were just okay. Honestly you would be better off buying the pulled pork from a grocery store and a bottle of sweet baby Ray's sauce. Not worth the money or the calories!

I think this is all real meat still. Not that lab grown or glued together garbage. It's tasty barbeque, that's for sure. Spread on some of the sweet sauce and go to town. Don't miss the delicious sides. And then wash it all down with some sweet tea. Always looking for seconds at this place. Easy ordering process with friendly staff. Clean, well stocked condiment and drink area. Dining is well lit and spacious. Clean restrooms. Very enjoyable experience. Go here for tasty food.

Very friendly owner and nice staff. Food at dickies never disappoints and this was no different. One of the nicest locations I’ve been too and will be coming back again.

My husband and I went to the Dickies on Stadium, for lunch. I had the Atomic Chicken Sandwich, and hubby had the Brisket Sandwich. We were both really impressed by the quality of both sandwiches. Full of flavor, and very tender and juicy. We will definetly be going back for more!

Was informed they could not fulfill our order. Then was informed they will not refund the overcharge. Was informed it's the managers daughter. So nothing will be done anyway...

Food and service was excellent! Staff greeted us on the way in and were polite about letting us know they'd be with us as soon as possible. Tried the brisket, chicken, fries, Mac and cheese, and the loaded bakers - all of which were awesome! Do recommend if you're in the area looking for a quick bite or somewhere to sit down and chill while you take your time to savor the delicious food available.

Haven't been in a few years. We went tonight. No more turkey, waffle fries or dinner rolls. Hand cut fries were nasty like the oil was way too cold. For the price, I probably won't be back. Locally owned/non chain bbq places are much better. Really disappointing, because Dickeys used to be a favorite.

One gal behind the counter was very engaging and a model employee. It was our first visit and she really went above and beyond to make us welcome and answer questions. The food was so good! We will return when we go back to Kalamazoo! Definitely recommend fast delicious BBQ! Atmosphere was fun and modern, simple very comfortable sitting areas.

Not many choices for good fast BBQ in this area. Dickey's is more than adequate. Coldwater location has much more room and larger dining area. Staff was moving fast, accurately and very nice too.

The food and service here is ways great and on point. Benard and the other staff are friendly, patient and helpful. My kids and I enjoy each visit and will continue to come. Thanks.

OMG. They messed up the pork! Today, I had a pulled pork sandwich that was very disappointing. The meat was very dry! It didn't taste like pork. ...... I was previously at Dickeys over 2 months ago, and the pork was good. Did they change cooks? 1-19-23

Port ends were too much on the hard side. Great mac and cheese. Pulled pork was legit. They have good spaces also. I'd go back. Kinda a fast food BBQ place.

Very disappointed. Ordered online at 5:10 for a 5:45 curbside pickup. At 6 still no food. Called the store. Lots of apologies but still no food. 6:12 food comes out. It's a 12 minute drive home. Opened bag to find food was cold and missing a side. Time to look for a new barbeque place.

We were hungry for bbq and we knew Dickey's was pretty darn good, so we went there. They did not disappoint again. I had ribs and kielbasa, cole slaw and fried okra. My husband had ribs, pulled pork and brisket, fried okra and mac and cheese. The restaurant was clean and orderly and they were disinfecting tables after guests left. Staff were very kind and patient. The only negative would be that two of the tables we tried were wobbly. A little annoying. We will definitely go back.

First time there and the staff was friendly & helpful. Brisket was AMAZING!! Onion crunches were yummy too! LOVED the fresh lemonade as well, it wasn't to sugary 🎉 WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!!!

Dickey's got rid of their waffle fries and now have hand cut fries. They are terrible. I don't know what the seasoning is but they taste burnt. To me, it tasted like they use the left over grease from the meat to use in their fryer. I hope they bring back the waffle fries because right now, I can't see myself going back. Both my son and I dumped our entire order of fries in the garbage, they weren't worth taking home. And I don't believe in wasting food. That's how bad they were.

I had a three meat platter. My friend also. Absolutely no taste. The baked beans taste just like bush's baked beans. The turkey was actually sliced deli meat cut thick. The roll is a flour tasting dough that didn't rise, pasty texture. The BBQ sauce is so thin it's ridiculous. Besides that... the price (even if it was good) and the serving size is a joke.

This was our first visit and I must say the service was amazing. Not only was the food delicious but, it was ready before we were even finished paying. I ordered the marinated chicken sandwich with fries and Mac and cheese and everything tasted so good. I think we've found our new favorite barbecue place.
