Based on the reviews, I decided to order a pizza from Maciano’s in Vernon Hills. The pizza was very good, however I was not impressed when I entered the restaurant. The rug was filthy, the catering menus on display were sticky and torn, and the trash can and surrounding area looked dirty. It would only take someone five minutes to make this area sparkle. Managers, please take note. Some customers like me worry the kitchen is dirty if the entry area looks unkempt.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT and Customer Service! I ordered from here nearly EVERY Friday night same order. Well one night my husband picked up the order and it was wrong. Asked for pizza well done and light cheese and it was the opposite. Now no big deal but we called to let them know. They offered to bring out a new pizza (which was super nice). Well they bring out the new pizza and DEMANDED the wrong one (acted like we were lying). Well after calling the restaurant to inform of them of this extremely rude and strange encounter with their delivery driver we find out the General Manager was the driver!!!! First, who demands food back!?? And to make it even worse the guy couldn’t even say “sorry”! Will NEVER order from there again and will make sure to tell others of my experience!!

Amaizing place, realy nice for a date, perfect for a business discussion and cozy for any reason. Food taste delicious and the staff is realy friendly willing to help with anything you might need. Great place, it was a pleasure and all the best!

Again, another great lunch affair! This time I tried the chopped salad with chicken. It came with 2 nice sized pieces of garlic bread which was generously doused with garlic butter oil? Best chicken salad ever! Only thing ask for salad dressing on the side in case you want to take it home so it doesn't get soggy! Also can't forget the minestrone soup! Omg, very healthy tasting with lots of cut up veggies! Of course, there's the deep dish pepperoni pizza my hubby ordered. Can't beat the perfectly baked crust and lots of yummy tomatoes!

Finally got around to trying this place a couple of months ago and honestly after only one visit, my family and I sorta fell in love with this taste. Maciano's pretty much became our go-to Italian spot. Everything we ordered we loved and prices seemed reasonable enough for the high quality of food. Venue was clean & cozy, service was excellent and the food especially the deep dish I ordered was THE BOMB! We'll easily come back here in no time!

This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The environment is so elegant and clean & the service is on point. The quality of the food is amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars , I would!

I was here with my friends for a Sunday night dinner. The restaurant is very cute with beautiful artwork and a relaxing vibe. The food was delicious and the server Masha G was very professional and kind! I would highly recommend this place to everyone who likes delicious Italian food and a friendly atmosphere. Wonderful Italian dishes. 10/10! Food is excellent. Large portions. Amazing flavors - the marinara sauce is so full of flavor. Best caesar dressing ever! I’m a truck driver, and ordering pizza delivered to my truck is sometimes difficult. But here at Maciano’s, the person I spoke with on the phone made the experience as easy as possible. The delivery arrived quickly, and my Chicago style deep dish pizza was fantastic. Great food, delivered quickly by friendly and professional people.

Ordered for carry out but the place was packed for Saturday dinner. The hostess was friendly and the thin crust Pizza was perfect! I like how they have a rewards program making this place a great value compared to the other pizza joints.

We were so impressed with the quality of the food!!! The Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza was flawless!! I saved a slice for lunch for the following day and was so looking forward to eating it. It was just as delicious leftover! Can’t wait to return to try the pasta and salad.

We love ordering from here. We have done delivery and take-out and every experience has been amazing. The team is very happy and kind while also being extremely efficient. Food is always hot and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!!!

Service was quick and atmosphere was pretty busy and crowded at the front door. My friends and I ordered takeout food and it was ready within the 30-45 minutes ranged time. By the time we tried our food, the fettuccine Alfredo came out as a smaller portion [for $16] and there was not much sauce so it was dry. The portion of the pasta is not even worth for $16. Everything else of the cinnamon sticks and thin crust pizza was delicious. I would go back again, but to dine in.

Worst experience worst service - never recommanded- we collect our order in a box and fed birds . We entered ,another guests entered after us , the waiter started to welcome them and take their order before us, their food comes earlier for sure. After i asked her why they have beedn served before us she start to give us attitude and she will come to us with moody face while she will go to them with smile face and make them feel welcomed ...we felt insulted . Food : pizza thin crust came crust cooked, topic vegetables steamed-test awful filled with cheese no test , Buffleo chicken : came salty , more basicly Buffleo sauce , cheese and crust, bearly chicken found. The waiter never came to ask how the food , she need to be retrained for sure . Chicken wings were OK. -bruschetta had a weird test and old tomato. For the best pizza, I highly recommend California Pizza Kitchen.

Delicious! Breadsticks, caprese salad, and wine selection were on point! Thin crust pizza was crispy. Waiter wasnt as attentive as I would have liked. (Served apps w/o plates). Overall a pleasant experience. We will be back.

Ordered a small thin crust with pepperoni and onions, well done, uncut. Delivery was on time. Pizza was warmish. It wasn't well done as the was some cheese was not fully melted. Love the flavor of pizza sauce and ingredients. Wish the pizza crust was super thin.

Amazing thin crust and pasta dishes. Never had a bad meal here. Some of the best red sauces out there. I think people sleep in this place because they don't have a joint in the city. It's the real deal.

By far my favorite pizza. LOVE the double dough, always get it with light sauce. We live too far for delivery but regularly do take out and occasionally dine in. Staff is always friendly and service is prompt; restaurant is quiet, comfortable, and clean. Everything we've ever ordered has been delicious. Been coming for years and Maciano's never disappoints!

I always pass by this place whenever I go to go to the Starbucks next door. What a pleasant surprise we found when we walked into the restaurant—the interior was really nice with neat booth seating, and well painted walls surrounding the dining area. There’s only one person working at the front as host and server, but she was very friendly and efficient. We tried bruschetta, calamari, and penne vita mia, which were delicious. We also tried fruiti de mare, thin crust and deep dish pizza and garlic bread, which were alright too. I wish the deep dish had more tomatoes sauce in them, I felt it was a bit dry. And if you’re planning to order deep dish pizza, it does takes 45 min, so make sure to take that into mind when you arrive and order. They have specials Mon-Thurs, so take advantage of that. We went one Wednesday to take the 1/2 off wine bottles, they have a decent selection and good prices, which makes me happy :) I’ll visit this place again for sure, for their yummy appetizers and drinks.

The pizza selection is great. The chicken as a pizza topping was too dry for my taste, but my wife loved it. The pizza dough was fantastic and the sauce was well balanced. The average score between the both of us is a 4/5.

We love Maciano’s! Very friendly, accommodating and very good food. I called to inquire about last minute take out order for 10+. They were able to provide me with enough Italian beef, bread and fixings. The beef was amazing. We also love their salad. Can’t go wrong with anything you choose from the menu! Thank you!!!

Catering order for work lunch meeting. Chose the pasta and salad package plus a tray of bruschetta. Great food, reasonably priced, delivered on time, plenty for 15-20 people. I would recommend they provide more salad dressing for a salad of this size, we ran out. Will definitely order again.

Quite disappointed since it got good reviews. I ordered the Italian beef which is overly salty, it’s not even as good as 20% of the portillo’s Italian beef. And the pizza is also moderate grade.

From the bread they bring before the meal to the dessert and coffee at the end, everything is top notch. A small but varied wine list, decent beer menu, wide variety of main courses.
