Stopped into the Asian Harbor for the first time and it was great. The server was very helpful and couldn’t be any nicer. I wanted to try different things on the menu. I ordered several different plates to try a variety from the menu. Everything we ordered was very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was awesome. The prices were very reasonable. I look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

Me and my friend decided to go on a whim for something different (and was close nearby, lol). The atmosphere was not what we were expecting (it has an upscale feel), yet it was so calming and relaxing. Our food was really good (which that, we were expecting, lol), and we've already made plans to go again next month. I do recommend to check out and try!

Very Friendly and Good Sushi, pieces are a bit larger than normal so you will get full. Have to come back and try the rest of their menu. But definitely a nice date night spot. Great customer service they make sure you are comfortable.

I had the Thai chicken fried rice. I'm not sure what kind of chicken this is or if it's even real chicken. It's like stings of meat that doesn't taste like chicken and it's barley cooked. This is not authentic Thai food by any means. It's a shame they present this as Thai food using synthetic or fake chicken. Hopefully the owners can explain the type of chicken this and be honest about it. It's a health issue if it's synthetic fake chicken that is unnatural. Please explain what this is.

Food and atmosphere is decent and service is good but they definitely have rodents. The server that witnessed my party's reaction to seeing a mouse was cavalier, not even acknowledging what we were repeatedly saying. He simply responded by cheerfully saying "Have a good night!" as we hurried out of the restaurant. I will gladly update my review if management reaches out with proof that they've addressed the issue by hiring pest management.

I'm being bias, cause I love this place since little Tokyo left. Just a heads up if the phone doesn't work there's a good chance their credit card machine doesn't work. Tokyo drift (a drink they have at the bar) is one of my favorites. I try to get sushi either Tuesday or Wednesday it seems to be the freshest or maybe it's my imagination. Whatever this place is good and my kiddos enjoy the teriyaki dinner when they're not in the mood for sushi. Really wish they had green tea ice cream

Noodles were mushy and wet and tasted of sour lime and fish. Tofu was only cooked on top and bottom slices after being cooked. I love Thia food but we will pass on this location. Sad because I was excited to be so close to this location

Greasy Thai roll that tasted like old oil. Godzilla roll had flakes of shell. Just disgusting. I would never eat here again.

This is where I’ll be coming from now on if I want sushi. I dined in on a Saturday afternoon and it was peaceful, quiet, and serene. The service was great and the music was low, so as not to be disruptive. They’ve done a great job with the ambience here. The crab rangoon was marvelous and fresh as well.

Beware! They use old fish for carry out sushi. Not only brown also smelled awful. Customer service was as bad as the sushi. Be careful. Don't try this restaurant UPDATE: due to covid my family and I tried this place again. I can't figure out how this place is still open. Absolutely 💯 the worst food in the south burbs. This business is not essential and should be avoided at all costs. Side note: All the 5 star reviews of the place are paid for or employees. I guarantee No real person would ever give this dumpster food anything more then one star.

Ordered several dishes. The Thai iced tea was sickly sweet but not much tea so watery - not authentic. Spring roll barely had any noodles and the rice paper was not chewy and not fresh!! Fried rice had too much soy sauce. The poke appetizer had a lot of fish but not fresh - tasted quite fishy (sauce spilled all over the bag noticed this when I got in the car) Tom yum tasted ok so I will give 1 star for that. Will not come back but I can understand why a lot of people would give this 4-5 stars (because there’s literally no decent Asian restaurant in the area). Overall, not authentic and uses cheap ingredients despite how expensive it is. The venue is not bad but I’d rather go to some hole-in-the-wall type of establishment than a fancy one with food that’s not good.

I love Asian Harbors atmosphere. It is very intimate but still family friendly. The food is always great. I normally get the sushi and my Fiancee loves their shrimp fried rice. Although, we love the food here sometimes we come in just for their drinks! We always get the HennyMargarita! ❤❤❤ it is strong and delicious!

We(my significant other & I) come here maybe only a 2-3 per year, but we seem to always enjoy the food here. To be honest we typically only order from the sushi side of the menu but every so often we order from the other options they have typically with nothing bad to say about the way the food tastes. The only negative which isn't a true negatives is the prices we eat sushi quite often before a South suburban location it seems to stack up really fast here 🤔 but once again that's not really a major negative just something to keep in mind when ordering

After My Aunt Went Funeral Service, We Stopped At This Restarant ,I Was Impressed Until My Family And I Noticed That The Greeter/Cashier/??? Personally Took The Temperature Of A Certain Race. It Was Noticeable Because We Were Told To Take Our Own Temperature. Now, I Like To Be Fair So We Just We Sat And Observed The Entire Meal To See If This Greeter Would Be Consistent! He Was!!! He Personally Took The Temperature Of One Particular Race And Literally Directed The Other Race To Take Their Own!! He Was Nice Though! Lol The Second Issue Was I Was Charged A 20% Gratuity Without Being Told It Was Added On! I Didnt Have A Problem Paying For My Group Of 7 The Issue Was Inform Me You May Have Got More Because I Have Compassion For CSR During This Pandemic. Treat Everyone The Same And Inform Patrons Of Extra Charges!................... In Response: It Was Our 1st Time There. It Was Assumed We Knew The Rules. The Greeter Grabbed The Thermometer Immediately When A Particular Race Came In & No One I Observed Through Our 2-3hr Visit Voluntarily Took Their Own Temperature. Your Greeter Literally Directed The Other Race To Take Their Own Temperature. As I Stated I Noticed This Because Of The Consistent Pattern And We Had To Figure Out How To Take Our Own Temperature. No Assistance Was Offered To Us. Perhaps You Were Not Aware Of The Greeter Behavior. I Did Not See The Gratuity On The Menu, It Could Have Been There. As I Stated It Still Would Have Been A Courtesy To Inform Us Verbally Or Direct Us To Read That Portion About The Gratuity On The Menu.

What a nice place to have a good lunch. The staff is always kind and helpful. The atmosphere is quite warm and inviting. Even throughout the adjustments we are experiencing while dining out, they really go out there way to still ensure comfort and great service.

They food was good but one the fried rice, I ordered shrimp but there was only enough for two people. It came on an entree container black with clear top and yes I was a little disappointed with the amount I thought I purchased a large but it was small. Maybe it should be packed in a box two feed 4 people or more. Thinking large! With the large price.

I just flew in for the holidays and brought my little cousins here for dinner. Unfortunately, for this to have been my first stop I was beyond disappointed with the upscale decor that didn't match how the food tasted. The only thing that we all ate and agreed was good were the egg rolls. The girls ordered crab rangoon which they said was way too sweet. I'm not sure how that's even possible coming from teenagers who love sweets but they only ate half of one. I ordered the egg drop soup which didn't taste fresh and wasnt flavorful.Tried adding salt and that didnt help. As far as entrees the girls ordered the crazy roll and glass noodles with shrimp and said it was good. I ordered the Teriyaki shrimp dinner which was the most expensive out of the meals and couldn't believe that it came on a hot skillet with a bed of onions, shrimp on top, a small portion of broccoli, and a small bowl of rice. Majority of the plate was onions (which I don't eat) and the shrimp had an after taste so I barely touched that and woke up sick this morning. Even our fortune cookies were strange "the walls are watching?" and "do you know what you don't know?"...Our waitress was great! She was helpful, funny, and attentive however I would recommend a different location if you're looking for Chinese/Japanese.

The absolute best Mongolian beef I ever tasted! Drinks were not watery, service was excellent. This is my go to spot in the south burbs. I harbor no bad feelings against THIS Asian restaurant. Go there. Be happy!

Friendly greeting upon entrance. Did not have to wait long to be seated. Our waitress was so kind and attentive throughout our dinner. The food was delicious. The bartender did very well with our drinks. The restaurant looked clean and organized. Overall pleased with our dining experience and definitely recommend.

The curry fried rice was soo yummy! The sushi rolls are a bit pricey, but overall delicious. Also the decor in the dining area was welcoming and elegant, and the staff were friendly. Would definitely go again and would like to try other items on the menu 😁

Good for dine-in or carryout. No AYCE sushi, but they're one of the better places in this area. Great atmosphere, though.

It was my first time eating at Asian Harbor. I had the blanket shrimp for my appetizers which was delicious 😋! I loved that we were able to customize the fried rice with no peas or carrots. The portion size was larger enough that we were able to share the same dishes. I will definitely eat there again!

We have been coming to Asian Habor over 10yrs. We have never been disappointed. The food is always HOT!! Food is flavorful & savory with a distinctive taste. We’ve been to other Chinese & Japanese restaurants but this takes the cake. Customer service is AWESOME!! Plus, You get plenty for the price!! Great place for date night.

If you love sushi and Asian food, you'll absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is that of a high end dining experience, with reasonable prices on everything! You'll think you're in downtown Chicago at a chic trendy spot instead of Homewood IL! Wonderful service, amazing people! I highly recommend this restaurant! You'll not be sorry!

Asian Harbor is by far one of my favorite restaurants . The food is indescribably delicious,, not too pricey and good portions are served. The servers are so friendly and polite. I have sent many friends there who were amazed. Last week I dined with a friend for the first time. He said WOW this food is real good. 5 stars all the way for me!!!!! Tipping for services rendered is a pleasure.

High hopes walking in but as the first appetizer came out we should’ve just left right then and there. The edamame came out and looked a little limp. It tasted like it was made days ago and reheated in a microwave. The “pork” pad Thai came out and I’m pretty sure it was chicken. The sushi boat left a lot to be desired. We got like 4 different rolls. The fish did not look or taste fresh. We left half of it on the board. I would not recommend.

  • 5/5 Barbara A. 10 months ago on Google
The food and service were great. They provide huge portion sizes, and 2 people can eat from one order. We had an order of egg rolls, spicy salmon sushi roll, orange chicken, and a 4 stars seafood dish. Everything tasted great. The only reason that I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is because there was a large group celebration and they were very loud. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if they had an enclosed space for groups. Otherwise 👍🏽

The food was just blah. Shrimp fried rice had zero flavor or seasoning and what’s with all the chunks of crunchy white onions. The shrimp was literally mushy…never had mushy shrimp. Veggie egg rolls were soggy/spongy. These items are basic. Not to mention it’s expensive!!! 3 adult meals & 1 order of veggie egg rolls & 1 order of Thai rolls…$87 for a meal we didn’t enjoy at all. My husband will likely continue to order his sushi from here but as for me it’s an absolute NEVER AGAIN.

It upsets me to write a bad review about this place as I have been impressed many times in the past. Not this time... We came in, got sat, and waited about a half hour for a server to come. We asked the host if someone would be coming to help us soon and a server showed up shortly after. Slow service, good food... but then we went to leave and we were stopped by the manager who said "excuse me, was something wrong with your service you didn't leave her a tip?" Which I found greatly offensive because I made it a point to leave a cash tip on the table rather than on the card EVEN AFTER the slowest service I've ever received. I revealed that I left cash on the table and the manager seemed embarrassed and quickly changed her tone. Not a good look Asian Harbor.

Another disappointing Pad Thai for take out. Very limp over-cooked noodles, just a few tiny shreds of chicken, no vegetables except withered green onions. I’ll go to Siam Marina next time. Pay a few bucks more for a sure thing. Do better Asian Harbor!

My family and I have been going to Asian Harbor since they opened in 2006. Love, love, love this place! So glad and grateful it survived the pandemic. ❤ My son's and husband's favorite is Orange Chicken, my favorite is the Mitsuki Roll. We love the crab ragoon, pot stickers, egg rolls, chicken satay, tom ka gai (I swear this is as good for colds as chicken soup!), spring rolls with plum sauce, egg drop soup, Panang curry, Pad Thai, sushi rolls, beef and broccoli, etc. We've never been disappointed. Service has always been great and friendly, the drinks strong, and atmosphere warm and inviting. This is our answer to Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas stress. Life is short, so enjoy it by letting talented professionals do the cooking!

I ordered Godzilla rolls from here for the 1st time today. Everyone knows these rolls are supposed to be deep fried. I mentioned that I wanted them extra crispy. the lady did not mention that their Godzilla rolls aren't fried at all, and to my disappointment, I only realized the rolls were raw once I got home. I called them and the best they could offer me was a hesitant apology and 10% off my next sushi order. No thanks! I will never step foot in this place again. They are unprofessional and their sushi is nasty. There are better sushi places out there with better customer service. I definitely do not recommend!

Restaurant is one of a kind. For an extremely reasonable price, you feel like you're in a fine dining restaurant, with lovely crimson curtains at the windows, and the tablecloths topped with glass. The waiter was thoughtful, fast, and accurate. All the food is as expected, and the sushi is delightful. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the sushi boat for two and it was melt in your mouth delicious. They gladly made simple changes for my diet restrictions and corrected an error when we found it. Seating is a little awkward with covid restrictions but they have us all the options they had and let us choose. Can't wait to go back again.
